I have my list of favorites, including biscuits and gravy, Greek salad with grilled chicken or GYRO meat, their chili is amazing, and their pistachio with rice and red sauce is very good. Come on in, look at the specials on the board, and seat yourself anywhere. Likely the place will be bustling, and you can tell there's a lot of regulars that come here. Wherever you sit, the floor will be littered with stray French fries, maybe a napkin too, and will feel a bit slippery because they don't clean the floors properly. (Using too much cleaning product designed for restaurant use will actually make floors more slippery!) Use caution when walking in the pathways - they are really slippery! You won't wait long for any food. The portions will be huge, and served piping hot. You won't spend a lot, but don't expect anything fancy. BLT sandwiches have a lot of bacon, Leo's doesn't skimp here! Please consider adding one or two more handicapped parking spots. read more

I would not recommend eating at this location manager is rude. Service is horrible. I've never experienced such poor services than I did today. When my order was messed up, my daughter and I had to Uber the food because we just got home from being in the hospital over the weekend she's 12 and got French toast and there was no syrup and I got a cheese omelette with no cheese. I was told to come pick up the cheese for my order after the workers thought it was pretty funny. Staff changed their story when the manager got in. I got the corn beef and I wanted it on sub bun and I received it on a biscuit which made it very hard to eat as the biscuit was soggy because I did get coleslaw added on it so it was falling apart. Stopped in this location for breakfast and was disappointed with both my farmers omelette and my wife's French toast was like warm at best. My omelette was dry and not appetizing. Stopped after visiting my father in nearby rehab. Won't ever go back! My husband ordered a chili cheese omelet with light onion. It came packed with large chunks of onion within the omelet. We confirmed light onion order with waitress and she offered to have the omelet remade with no onion. When the new one came, it was not a chili cheese, but a western with all kinds of green peppers and tomatoes. I just had a very strange experience here. My family went in for breakfast and sat down at a table. We waited for about 20 minutes. Asked a few servers if someone could help us and no one came over. The servers were standing around talking to each other and looking at our table, but no one would come over to take our order. We ended up just getting up and leaving. The most memorable flavor was the tartar sauce and ketchup they were dipped in. The French fries were soft and needed salt. Frying them a little longer would be a big improvement. To the rude inappropriate manager who scolded an employee in the middle of the restaurant for trying to accommodate a customer, your behavior as a manager is atrociously unacceptable. I was sitting at a table near a couple who had asked for an accommodation that the server asked the manager if it was possible to which she must have said no. The sever came back to let the customer know that his manager said it wasn't doable. The customer was insistent for him to ask again, so he walked back to the kitchen asked the cook to which he was additionally told no it unfortunately was not doable. In my opinion he was going above and beyond to satisfy the needs of a customer. A few moments later as he appeared to be putting an order in the manger, a woman with brown hair loudly call his name out and announced that she was the manager and that he was rude and had over stepped by double checking. Sorry but that's not the way you handle this kind of "overstepping". This young server did right by the customer, going above and beyond even when told no once is not a weakness or burn against someone's ego. We were loyal to this Leo's throughout COVID. Tipped well and dealt with inaccurate orders like onions all over a meal when the recipient has an onion allergy, whatever. About 2 weeks ago I ordered a soup and Greek salad combo. Chicken lemon rice soup and a plain Greek salad, no onions. Imagine my surprise when my husband got home and a giant plastic chunk was sitting right here. Originally I thought it was Styrofoam from the container, but I was wrong. Hard plastic. We called up promptly and spoke with a manager who said she would replace the meal next time we were in as we didn't want to go back out having just gotten our newborn down for a nap. So I got rid of the salad and ate my soup. We went up there tonight and upon checkout let the girl know of the conversation with the manager. Her response, 15% off the bill. After this we are 100% done. Poor service and poor food. Do yourself a favor and drive up M24 to Mario's. Their food is better and they're nice as heck. Done with Leo's for good. read more

I have been going here for years and every year it is worse and worse. Surprised it's still open considering not only the service, but the food has also took a dive. I normally really like the Leo's Coney Island quality but this one was not as good an experience as at other locations. I ordered my usual egg white veggie omelette with tomato slices instead of the hashbrowns and rye toast. The omelette was slightly overdone and the toast was burnt!!! I normally don't complain about the toast but I actually sent it back and asked if I could have toast that was not burnt!!! I ordered breakfast which was 2 eggs over medium, hash browns and rye toast. My husband ordered 2 coney dogs. The eggs were perfect, the hash browns lacked on taste, so I added salt (which I rarely do) and pepper. He said the skin on his coney dogs seemed a little tough and he never complains about food very often. Upon walking in, I noticed the doors needed a cleaning due to fingerprints all over the glass which is a big turn off when entering an establishment. This is a must do throughout the day with people coming and going. It gives a cleaner and more inviting look. They weren't too busy at the time of day we were there, so I saw no reason why someone couldn't have been doing such an important job for the sake of their business and for their customer's appreciation. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and checked back to make sure everything was going well with our meal. She even offered to put my husband's drink in a to-go cup, which he appreciated! So there are a lot of Leo's restaurants in the Detroit area. This one (as well as the Clarkston one) have specials! Leo's is one of those places you go because you need to eat. Nothing too fancy. And not fast food. Their menu has the standard coneys, gyros, pita sandwiches, etc. here's my favorites for all Leo's: Greek salad: they sell a lot so you get nice fresh lettuce. Dressing is light and refreshing. Get a larger size than you think since the price difference isn't that much! I get the chicken on it which is a grilled chicken breast. Coneys: must have. Soft bun. Not healthy. But you knew that. Fish and chips: it's made in house and not from some distributor. I would get chili added to the fries. Breakfast: anything in the menu except for corned beef hash. I like the ones with fresh chopped corned beef, which they don't have. Finally, why did I give an average diner 4 stars? Because of their specials. Every day they have other options. Today it's chicken pot pie, walleye, grilled salmon, whitefish, etc. Nice to mix things up. Great place for the family. Won't need to take out a 401(k) loan to pay for it either! read more

I love Leo's, but this one was not the best. I went with a group of 8 adults for breakfast and most of us had our meals come out wrong. On top of that, when the waitress brought my cousin his meal she said, "Oh I know you got the other thing, but I just put it in for the meat platter breakfast." It caught us so off guard we didn't know what to say. I asked for a sandwich with just cheddar cheese and was brought it with lettuce and tomato too. When I said that I just wanted cheese the waitress said that she thought that was the only kind of cheese I wanted, but still wanted all the other things with it. If you are unsure of a request, it's always better to ask for clarification than to bring out the wrong thing and make the customer wait while everyone else in the group is eating. I will be going back to Leo's, but I'll definitely look for another location. read more

This location is the WORST I've been to. They served my granddaughter uncooked (raw) chicken nuggets. The manager didn't even come to the table to apologize. I did not pay for the meal but they charged me for her soda that was supposed to come with the meal. When I paid my bill she asked how everything was. I said "you mean the raw chicken you served my granddaughter"? She just chuckled and shrugged it off like I never said anything. Poor food and even worse management! My gyro only had 3 small pieces of meat on it for $6. I will never go there again. I have family in that area and they all said the worst food in town and refuse to go back there. BEWARE.
