I have written a review for this vendor previously and am compelled to write again just to validate their service and work ethic. I've been working with Lerman Appliances since 2018 for my washer/dryer and dishwasher. They've been timely with getting appointments scheduled. On time arrivals within the 3 hour window and a 10 minute heads up that they are arriving. This time Ricardo (I hope I have the name correct) came out to service the washing machine. He went above and beyond. Discovered a broken part that he had ready to replace (because the company does their due diligence before they arrive by doing their best to diagnose over the phone and with text, email, photos etc). He fixed my washing machine. We have a little one and washing is frequent in our house! So grateful for their top notch service from start to finish. THANK YOU to the nice lady who scheduled the visit and got my time moved up due to a cancellation, the owner who shared a bit about our history with the tech before he arrived and the tech who came out prepared! I called the company on Monday. They asked what kind of device and what the problem was. Receptionist offer of appointment on the next day, Tuesday, 1 PM, with 3 hours time window. Ricardo, give me 10 minutes arriving call, came in time to service the washing machine. He listened to me, checked everything and found the cause of the problem. The person who came to my house was perfectly nice and pleasant, but not the most honest. He correctly diagnosed that the problem with my refrigerator was that the compressor was broken and then told me that the part was probably still under warranty. However, he said once I got the part, it would be 3-4 hours and $850 for him to do the repair (or he could supply the part and it would cost closer to $1150). Five minutes of diagnosis cost me $100 (plus a 3% credit card processing fee that I was not warned about - I just saw it after my card was charged). I called LG and they sent someone out the next morning - because I was still under warranty, both the parts and labor were free, and the entire job was completed in one hour, not 3 or 4. read more

Wow. Nobody demanded a refund. There was no blackmail. You jumped down my throat and got aggressive as I I attempted to describe how a poor repair that was costly and should have lasted for several years - did not last. Bad sound. So not only was it a bad repair - but the 2nd Lerman guy wanted to order a new kit and repeat the repair all over again for the same price without even checking things out!!! "I can be there earlier!" No thanks. You didn't even allow me to explain this. To spin this and say I was demanding a refund is truly inaccurate. I had people here and you were on speaker phone. So you lied to save your ass. Your prices are inflated and yeah you sound defensive - but these are the facts. I would have to be an idiot to spend more $$ than the dryer was worth. And another professional called you guys out. Not just me. Thank goodness I googled the issue and got better service elsewhere. They followed my instructions for contacting tenants and arranging day and time and contacting tenant while on the way. The work was done professionally, and the price was ok. My Bertazzoni oven went out. Thought it was going to be a nightmare to fix due it being an Italian brand. Lerman appliances were one of 2 in LA that are authorized repair companies. The other never responded to my request. I highly recommend Lerman Appliances for washer repair. I had an issue with the lock not unlocking once the cycle was done. I previously had Sears Home Services out, which was a total cluster and now a long story that I'll post on their page. I called Lerman Appliances and they fit me in with an appointment the very next day. Pasha, hope I spelled it correctly, was very thorough, on time, and knows what he's doing. I only paid the $100 for the diagnoses of the motherboard malfunctioning. The issue with the lock is intermittent and sometimes doesn't happen at all. I don't typically go through the books that come out that show all the different services that are offered through individuals, but I did this time. It's a little booklet "neighbor to neighbor". I needed repair on my HVAC system as well as my dishwasher. I couldn't be happier to be honest with you. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Friday 8/25 "I'll put order in and come back Monday to install. " now everyday this week it's been "tomorrow, tomorrow,tomorrow " . This is going to be a long one. Anyone wondering if they should hire them vs call an "authorized Thermador provider" stop debating and call them. They know what they are doing. I had a terrible experience with so called authorized technicians- they didn't even know how to pull the dishwasher out, spent 10 min in my kitchen and diagnosed the wrong problem. I lost a few weeks with no dishwasher and lost $160! Lerman technician came in, knew what he was doing. He spent close to 40 min and had the CORRECT diagnosis. Pasha arrived earlier than expected (nice!), and took him about 10 mins. to diagnose the problem - that includes the time climbing behind the dryer! Called Lerman for a warranty issue with new Speed Queen residential washing machine. The woman who assisted was incredibly professional and scheduled my repair for the next day. Ricardo was outstanding and efficient. He immediately analyzed the issue, resolving it in one visit. Ricardo even followed up the next couple of days to ensure my machine had not defaulted to the motor control board error, that it was still operational. Actually, seems to be running better.... I've used them on several occasions to fix my stove and my old but reliable Sub Zero fridge. Most recently, I had the compressor go out on the fridge. They had a tech to my house quickly despite being booked up. Guy showed up on time, diagnosed the problem gave an estimate and ordered the hard to find OEM part. Repair was really expensive but I believe fair and they didn't jerk me around. A couple of days after repair, they followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was still remaining cold. He explained very little and became frustrated with me asking questions Tried to tell me it was relay-starter and capacitor ... called another company for a second opinion it was not that at all. If I would have paid this company the 220 in labor and 150 in parts my refrigerator would have just broken down again in a couple days as explained to me by company who gave me second opinion. It took about 2 weeks to get my top load washer up and running again. Unfortunately the part was not on hand so most of the gap between diagnosis and actual repair was just waiting for the part to arrive. There were two parts required: a pressure valve and another part. I really appreciate that Lerman uses a text messaging system. They were very responsive to emails enquiring about ETA. It was $462 which probably seems high vs getting a new washer but it's always nice to just repair a machine that might still have a long life. Alex was our technician. I called on a Friday at 1 pm and they were able to book an appointment for the next day, a SATURDAY, to repair my Bosch dishwasher. I was slightly concerned that they were not a registered Bosch repair business, but no longer! Lerman's technician diagnosed the issue and fixed it very quickly, for a much more reasonable charge than the registered Bosch repair business estimated. Have a Sharp drawer microwave and spent hours on the phone trying to find a service vendor, I experienced too many people who were less than professional and tried to push me into an expensive repair without even knowing what the problem was.
