Freezer was weak/leaking and washing machine leaked too causing floor damage here. Technician Alex moves a big fridge and began isolating the problem in it. Defrosted upper fridge and cleared freezer motor of ice. Both difficult tasks. Estimate for parts was high(not Lermans fault) but he did get freezer operating again. Ran washer for leaks and recommended replacing it instead of trying to sell us parts. Alex worked hard and identified problems rapidly. Demonstrated great anti Covid sanitizing at each step. You get good value with Lermans.. not cheap but a solid outfit to deal with . Im a retired utility co employee and like how Lerman operates. Good job! read more

Dmitri did such a good job with our refrigerator (see my previous review) and then outdid himself with our remaining appliances! The part for our Bosch dishwasher came in, and Dmitri came to install it. He also cleaned the bottom or our refrigerator and did a maintenance on our gas dryer. Even more, he gave me really helpful advice on our freezer and clothes washer and which products to use to clean our appliances. I am already amazed with how the interior of our dishwasher looks after using the product he recommended! I highly recommend this company for Applicance repair. Pricing is very reasonable. I feel so much better maintaining our existing appliances rather than scrapping them and buying new. My only regret is that I probably won't see Dmitri for quite some time as I'm convinced that our appliances are going to continue purring along. Held off on this review. Couldn't decide on 4 or 5 stars. Pluses: Communicates through out process. On time. Honest. Consistent. Fair price. Negative: Pressure to join "package/coverage" program. You can't simply make an appointment, but have to basically deal with a salesperson. And it's annoying. BUT, I researched the offer and it has great reviews if you need a lot of appliance repair within 1 year. Bottom line, I highly recommend this repair service and hope the company notices my review and tones down the high pressure sales tactics. Maybe send a text/email with the offer/info? read more

I just had the ignitor replaced in my Premier oven by Nikita. He did a great job! He was on time, answered all of my questions, showed me why the oven wasn't heating properly (ignitor amps was below specs), was very patient & diligent and even had the part with him. read more

They came out the same day but BEWARE! They charged me $100 non-refundable fee to come assess my Frigidaire fridge that was 5-years old, Told me I had freon leak and motor needs replacing and wasn't worth repairing. Needed to buy a new fridge. Other appliance services charged between $29 and $50 for a service call. Use one of these guys. Lerman too expensive. read more

I've used this company I number of times and in general had a great experience. For rental properties, it's very helpful that they coordinate scheduling directly with the tenants, it's very efficient. Rating 4 stars because VAL is incredibly RUDE and hung up on me. For past service, I've mailed a check to pay for the service, but VAL said it was unacceptable if I didn't get the check in the mail in the next 3 hours (he called at 2pm and the post office closes at 5pm). I said I would mail the check this week since I have a full time job and couldn't make it to the post office today (in the next 3 hrs), VAL said that was unacceptable. They ended up waiving the credit card fee, at least. But VAL needs a lesson in how to talk to customers.... read more

Val came to service my Bosch washer and dryer. He replaced the washer gasket, cleaned out the machine and checked to make sure it was working properly. I called Lerman Appliances to look at our broken range. They came out the same day and showed up on time. Nikita spent several hours diagnosing the problem with our 13-year old gas range. Excellent customer service and masterful technician's successful outcome in his repair. My combo Maytag washer/dryer was not working. Lerman Appliances set an appointment as early as possible and the technician, Arthur, arrived on time. He found the issue immediately, was fairly certain he could locate a replacement part (this was not a new appliance by any means), and was able to repair the appliance in that same visit. The price was reasonable with Lerman Appliance providing different ways of payment options. I used their services over a year ago regarding a stove, which continues to work well. We just had our second excellent service job performed by Lerman Appliances. The first was to replace the cracked glass window in our Dacor built-in oven. The second was to repair a leaking hose deep in the bowels of a 44 year-old Maytag washing machine. In both cases, response times were quick and as promised, parts were ordered and installed quicker than expected (especially for the elderly washer), and the technicians in each case (Sergei for the oven and Val for the washer) were polite, clean, honest, and competent. This was not the first rodeo for either of them. No service provider these days is cheap, but Lerman's prices were fair and saved us a lot of money compared to replacing the appliances. read more

My experience - gained over four service calls, turns out positive. There was a false start - they needed to learn the idiosyncrasies of my KitchenAid refrigerator - and me. The first time they came the box checked out fine and I assume it was my not knowing the setting process. The 2nd time, actually, the compressor fan did turn out to be faulty - by the third time their tech showed up they were convinced it was the control board - not made anymore for this 2008 unit. The owner Natole was able to locate an aftermarket replacement board. Lerman came, installed it and it tested fine. A week later the fridge started to get loud - temps dropped in both freezer and main unit. I despaired, unplugged it for safety, left a message for Natole and went to bed. In the morning Tsoy arrived. Here's what he found: The first time he came I told him I'd cleaned the coils and he so reported. It turns out I'd cleaned only the fronts, leaving the interior, inaccessible coils untouched. I'd assumed, wrongly, there were either none behind or, since I couldn't see them, that it wasn't necessary to clean 'em. Tsoy explained those coils required cleaning by a tech. He'd sprayed them, which dissolved the dirt (?) then let gravity do the rest. Result - and I peered in later - the coils are now sparkly clean - and the floor beneath too - temps are normal and I'm outta' the woods. read more

They are known for the knowledge & skills required when it comes to virtually any high-end appliance (and probably the full range of others) So many services claim to be experts in Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Bosch, KitchenAid etc ... but they aren't based on my own experiences. They do charge a $100 service fee - but that is applied to your bill. They also offer a few discounts. I can honestly say that their worth it. You get what you pay for! P.S. Let me start by saying that I had three very bad experiences with another company so by the time I found Lerman Appliances I was very skeptical that anyone could fix my 20 year old Kitchen Aid double oven. Each time I had spent $600 to have the motherboard sent out and repaired and it came back with more issues than before. Lerman is a family owned, multi-generational business in the Valley. Everyone was so polite and helpful and after talking and emailing with Vitaliy I felt hopeful they could do the repair so I decided to try one last time. Our technician was Dmitri Maslov a wonderful young man who was so respectful and very careful with taking our appliance apart (not so with the other company). As of two days ago my part was back and installed and seems to be working perfectly. Regardless of whether this fixes the problem permanently the company they used to rebuild the motherboard offers a one year warranty (previous company gave only 90 days and it never past two days after being installed). Lerman Appliances stand behind their service and from start to finish I had a very positive expereince. While I hope I don't need to call again on this repair I will definitely use them for all my appliance repairs and will be calling their HVAC department for service of my two A/C and furnace. No one had looked at it in more than a decade, and it needed about seven parts replaced, so it wasn't a small job, but Ricardo was on top of it. I called Lerman because they had good reviews. The reviews were legit. Nikita came to my house and asked if I wanted him to remove his shoes! I loved that he respected my house. Then when I offered a chair to put his backpack on, he declined, put it on the floor because he didn't want to damage my chair. He respected my property and that is more than what most workers do these days. As for his service of my refrigerator, he was so completely honest about how much it was going to cost, and that it might not fix the problem. I decided not to do the repairs but I will call them again if I have any problems with my appliances. read more

I requested repair for my oven. I explained the problem and the man I spoke with indicated it was most likely my igniter for the "bake" control in my oven. He told me there would be a $100 service fee. If I had the oven repaired the fee goes away. The technician arrived accessed the problem and it was the igniter. The part was $65 labor was $250 the tech was at my house 50 minutes max. So basically this company charged me $250 for less than an hour of labor. Highway robbery!! If I didn't fix the problem I would have had to pay the $100 just for them showing up and I would still need to fix the problem. I should have asked what the labor fee was before I scheduled this appointment but come on!!! Ridiculous!! I will never use this company again I hope you won't either! Last night I cleaned my gas range very thoroughly, taking the oven door completely apart to clean the insides of the double paned windows. I got it back together but had four screws left over. This morning I call Lerman for help. I was given an appointment for between 1 and 3 TODAY! They arrived at about 1, spent 15-20 minutes finding and resolving the problem. They were professional and competent. I would contact them again if I goof up again. It did take me a minute to figure out how to get the Stars to pop up for this review, but I guess that's a Yelp issue. read more
