We came via rec of the CAA magazine article and read reviews. The service has area for improvement as they should split up the work so everyone is not doing the same things at the same time. Suggestion to have a barista, food order and cashier along with server. We checked out the selection of offerings and got the almond croissant, ham and cheese croissant and the chocolate cupcakes bite. We were glad to see they use real almonds and not extract that everyone seems to do with their"almond" croissant and bear claws. Savory was ok. The croissants were not as flaky or golden brown but you can taste the butter. If nearby check it out. It gets crowded so be prepared as the line can be slow. read more

This reminds me of a Patisserie we like in Carmel. We came to get some macarons for a party, but stayed snd had a ham and cheese baguette and coffee drinks as well. We will definitely return and try other items here. The macarons were bursting with flavor. The best we ever had. read more

I have now been there twice recently and I feel I might have the pulse of the shop. First the coffee is very good. I had the peppermint mocha and the pumpkin latte and both were very expertly made. I had a couple of croissant and a piece of veggie quiche. The veggie quiche had tomato and mustard and cheese. It was very good. Different than I have ever had. I do have several things to critique. Number one is the seating inside. I have a bad back and all the chairs are old flimsy and not supportive. The chair I was on was not adjusted correctly. People w disabilities and the elderly can't use these seats. The second critique is the lack of prices on all of the bakery items. It should not be a surprise even if the prices are very affordable. read more

Les Pascals is the best. We have been to bakeries all over the North Bay area, some claiming to be "French Bakeries". However, Pascal et Pascal are the real deal (another example of how the true French outdo Californians trying to be French in every culinary category). Their location is sunny and perfect (with a new outdoor seating area), and the wide variety of pastries, quiches, coffee are delicious and reasonably priced. There can be a wait (understandably, as it is popular), but that is a small price to pay for the sunny greeting and prompt service of Pascal and friends. Add to that the pleasant Glen Ellen setting, and it is well worth the extra drive. read more

Visited here twice in my trip to glen Ellen. Once for lunch , had a salad and French onion soup. Both delicious but the star of the dish was the bread served with it. Amazing! 2nd time was for breakfast and that didn't disappoint either. Chocolate croissant and a lemon tart and a latte . All fantastic. read more

Of course we all love Les Pascals and their extraordinary food, BUT, is it worth a case of covid? Certainly masks are a pain and they can slip off of your nose, but I just came from there, and two thirds of the staff had masks under their noses. Worse, the guy behind the counter (the other offender was in the kitchen) had a serious attitude about it. I gently reminded him to pull it up, and with a hostile edge, he repeatedly insisted his nose was covered, even when I said I could see his nostrils! A good almond pastry is my litmus test for the quality of a bakery. The almond pastry at les pascals was so incredible it was life changing. I haven't had one that good in years and it will probably be years until I have another. On top of that the experience and coffee were top notch too. The bakery is owned by the sweetest French woman and the atmosphere is heavily influenced by her French roots. I cannot WAIT until I go back to Sonoma so I can visit Les Pascals again! read more

We're from Vancouver, WA. We spent a couple weeks in Paris in September 2018. It's a rite of passage to line up outside to get in to order. We had fun chatting with other excited patrons. Les Pascals is everything we loved about French bakeries and patisseries. Madam is delightful. Monsieur creates awesome croque madame, olive loaf and so much more. I have recently moved to the area from Berkley. I was a pastry chef LONG ago at a restaurant and used to make croissants among other breakfast and dinner pastries and deserts. Everyone raved about Les Pascals so I wanted to try it. I went this morning and ordered a croissant which is always my go to way of evaluating a French style bakery. I thought it was mediocre at best. It was not flakey, not well layered and not crispy. I have had a far better croissant at another bakery in Santa Rosa.The Danish dough from which they make their "snails" was a bit better. read more

I wanted to love this place SO MUCH because I thought it was like truly French style quality well made desserts... But it was so disappointing. Macarons were dry. Coffee was not good. Pastries filling were from canned fruits (you can see the pantry). Quiches were very bland. We ordered a lot of stuff and liked none. So sad. =( The good thing about this place its the service. Adorable little French bakery. We stopped in during a busy Sunday morning. They offered a selection of sandwiches, breakfast pastries, breads, and tarts. The selection was not huge, but given the size of the establishment it was sufficient and the variety was such that most people could find something they liked in the options available. I had the spinach bacon quiche. It tasted AMAZING! The crust was light and not too heavy. The inside was rich and custardy. Very tasty flavors. Love to stop by in the afternoon for a double espresso and some macarons. Small businesses like this in the less than traveled parts of the north bay are a gem. I'm sure if you get there early enough the pastery case has a fantastic selection of goodies that are made with love and care, but I never do. Im usually there in the afternoon when they've done a good job of taking care of their customers. (That means the selection isn't what special people expect.) And I dont care. If you are looking for a fancy-pants, pinky in the air Michelin Star experience, keep driving. (In fact, go to Napa and leave Sonoma alone!) Very nice bakery with delicious quiche and pastries. There was a line in the morning which is always a good sign. The next time we're in Glen Ellen I would definitely like to come back. When we sat down, the line diminished so theres not always a wait. I love the pastries but I wish I would have ordered a quiche even though I did have a bite and it was delicious. What A Delightful Find! Don't let snobby reviewers hinder your visit to this one year old establishment. (Anton Ego is alive and well, it seems...) I'm probably just too uninformed, but for our party of nine adults and four toddlers, we found the offerings quite good. (The visual appeal of all their desserts displayed not-with-standing!) The wait staff were friendly and attentive, especially with our crowd. And this, despite the pressure of a line of waiting customers out the door on a Saturday afternoon. The almond croissant's are as wonderful as the previous reviewer stated - a real indulgence and quite tasty. I ordered the croque madame and it was sooo good! I'd never had it before and it's everything I want for a savory pastry day! My fiancé and I just found this spot randomly since he was on his way to a job site and I wanted to stay at a coffee shop while he do his work. I was so glad that they still have a bunch of selections available when we came in around midday.
