I am thrilled about this place! I have been twice so far, and If I didn't live on the other side of the county, I would be a regular. The atmosphere is perfect for a little Café in a little village. From the yellow walls, to the friendly staff, to the historic artifacts on display, to the little garden in the back which sees great potential, all of it envelops you in its welcoming arms. Expect breads, soup, desserts, and warm beverages of all kinds. Only downside is parking, but in its location that can't be helped. Sonoma Valley is becoming gentrified, and this little place is welcoming compared to the overpriced pretentious touristy spot it might have been. read more

The French macarons are the best I have ever tasted. I have tried them in Paris a few times and was never that crazy about them - too sweet for me. Les Pascals macarons are light with the right amount of sweetness. The individual flavors (lemon, pistachio, chocolate and strawberry when I bought them) come through but not in an overpowering way. The croissants are flaky and buttery and rich and oh, I wish I had one right now! Baguettes are fantastic too and they make a stellar latte. The environment is contemporary and clean with a laid back vibe - lots of bright whites and yellows. This is more of a boulangerie than a patisserie but it is a very good one and the prices are "ooh la la" as well. Do you want a cultural education on what it means to be French, get it here at this family-run shop and for not very much money? Just arrive before 2:00 PM (14:00) because Madame Pascal runs out of her fare early. You will probably stand in line for a while but it will be worth it. Education takes time. The comment he left on my review states that it was a member of their staff and not them personally (the owners). If you have ever gone through an experience such as the one I described, you know that you never forget the faces of the person(s) who commit an egregious act against you. I will never forget the face of the woman who locked the door on me and the man who came over to try to protect his wife from the shame, as she was being confronted. Wow wow wow. Perfect and dreamy. I went yesterday for my first time at les pascals and had the most beautiful breakfast. Living part time in Sonoma and LA, I had never been physically in...just delivered take out by my boyfriend some mornings. Boy was I missing out. The ambience is peaceful and reminisce of a Parisian cafe you could sit at for hours. The display of pastries and breads along with the beautiful baguette bags is warming to the senses. Incredible! I don't think I can say anything about the food that hasn't already been said. It's rich, creamy, flaky, and amazing. All of the staff is incredibly efficient with the long line. It seems like all of the people who patron this establishment seem to know exactly what they want so the line moves fast. The latte was great. The parking Lot is small. There is only one single unisex bathroom without a changing table and the trash can has to be lifted which I never love in a bathroom. read more

My only problem was that we didn't get to go for breakfast our first day. We had the spinach and bacon quiche two mornings because it was too delicious not to repeat. My husband had an apple tart three days running, and even though I'm not a cooked apple fan I had more than a few bites because it was so delicious, perfectly tart apples that weren't sweetened to death. This place is a bad joke. The macaroons were incredibly chewy and heavy and full of artificial flavoring. The fruit tart tasted like it had been preserved so long that the custard was already getting clotted clumps. The latte was terrible. AVOID AVOID AVOID!! read more

I love Les Pascals! I lived in Paris for two years, so I am very picky about my croissants. I'm so pleased to say that these are definitely fabulous! You should get there early if you want a full selection of all that there is to offer there. I recently tried their bread as well, and it was delicious. They had goat cheese, raisin nut, and olive rolls. All wonderful. They also have beautiful fruit tarts-perfect desserts. I haven't tried everything there, but so far, I've loved it all. I don't know where to start. I guess I'll start with saying I am allergic to gluten. I went to the hospital last year for it and after researching my diet found out I no longer can eat gluten. I have been trying only recently certain types of bread with flours that are not mass produced and I came here very weary as I always am to try a sandwich. It has been a struggle I am not celiac but I do have an intolerance. Within my research I also found that having flour that is from out of the country like Europe may be safe for me to eat as well. I'm not sure where they get their flour but I do know that I can eat their bread because I ate a sandwich and oh my gosh I forgot how much I missed getting something at the bakery and being able to eat it. I got the prosciutto and Bree sandwich they heated it up she was so wonderful. such a kind woman and I was lucky enough to get the last strawberry macaroon God sent. I can't wait to go back really I'm excited to be able to eat one of the lovely croissants they have that looks so delicious. I haven't taken probiotics as a fair warning to anyone who may also suffer from a gluten allergy. I haven't eaten bread up until the last few weeks and I don't always have good results so be careful. I only say this because I don't want to see someone else get sick but for me however I was able to enjoy it and not face the consequences. read more
