My review is only for coffee. I was out early in the morning and decided to stop for an iced caramel latte. It was very tasty and good strong coffee. It was a little sweet but not overpowering of caramel which is what I like. They had so many pastries and they smelled and looked really good. Will definitely need to come back to try them. The shop is really cute has plenty of seating inside and has a cute little patio area in the back. If you see a line out the door still stop by because there is not a lot of space inside for the line, so it looks way longer than what is really is. The owner is super nice, friendly and welcoming. What a cute, little café tucked away in Glen Ellen! We stopped by for a quick lunch before our next wine tasting reservation. We got one of their baguette sandwiches (they didn't have much of a variety when we were there) and the french onion soup. I have loved Les Pascals since they opened. I know you have to wait in line, and I won't even bother going on the weekends because the lines are long and the baked goods sell out. This last experience was dreadful. I am not sure if there was someone else baking, they changed ingredients or just had a bad day. The croissants were 1/2 the normal size, they were doughy, not the normal crispy and buttery shell. The tuna sandwich was on some sort of bread that resembled Subway sandwich bread, and there was about a tablespoon of tuna in the sandwich. As usual, their way of having to stand in line and order, wait and pay must be changed soon! it's ridiculous. There must be a way to streamline this process as it is so frustrating waiting for one customer at a time to order, heat up goodies, make coffee, and then pay. read more

Food quality is fairly standard for a French Patisserie. What isn't standard is waiting 45 mins in a line when there's only 4 people in front of you. I love the quaint French accent but that charm diminishes quickly when they won't hire more staff. One person working every time. Don't come here if you don't want to wait 45 mins for a croissant. I must have been here 15 times or so with my cycling friends. This little place has awesome pastries and is not only jam-packed with seasonal and everyday pastries but super delicious patisserie items perfect for cold or hot weather. Visiting Glen Ellen, and leisurely strolled up here one morning...only to have my mind BLOWN. What an absolute treat... baguettes, fresh bread, savory and sweet croissants, pastries, coffee...and not a single bad choice. My favorite was the coconut pastry (it had a much fancier french name from the lovely french owner but I wouldn't do it justice). The chocolate croissant and apricot rolls were also phenomenal. The line was long! We were there by 9 a.m. and the line had already formed - we waited for maybe 20 minutes? They do offer curbside service - and maybe next time we'll do that. But on this day, we wanted to check out what they had. We ended up getting some kouign-amann (my favorite), an apple slice, pain au chocolat, a baguette, a cappuccino and a latte. Everything tasted good - and the owner was very friendly and pleasant. It was a great breakfast before heading out to Jack London State Park! Les Pascals is an adorable local French patisserie with very friendly staff. There's a decent sized seating area inside and limited parking I had my first ever pan au chocolate and it was so delicious with decadent chocolate and flaky buttery croissant. Fantastic little cafe that's worth a stop if you are in Sonoma for wine tasting. We had the cookie, pistachio macaron and Raspberry Feuillete to go with a cappuccino, macchiato and regular (Italian roast) coffee. I loved my raspberry pastry and coffee but everything was good! Shout out to the lady behind the counter. I didn't get her name or ask if she was the owner but she most definitely ran this place. There was a non-stop stream of traffic while we were there and she was super-efficient and very nice to every customer. One family left their purse at home, to which the owner (?) told them, no worries, you can pay me back later. This is a throwback and we loved this bakery and coffee shop. read more

The ambience is lovely inside and outside, with a babbling water fountain on the back patio which has a French Bistro flair to it. I really like this place. 2.5 stars but I will round up to 3. The place is cute and there was a line (be prepared....it moves pretty slow) and the ratings are high so I had higher expectations. The food, however, left more to be desired. Ordered a couple of these chocolate things that were pretty good. I have no idea what they were as there were no signs on anything in the display and I didn't see anything on the board that matched their description. They were small (about 2-3 inch) chocolate balls filled with dark chocolate ganache. Chocolate was rich and dark and not too sweet, just how I like it. The real problem I had with this place is with the baguette sandwiches. More specifically, the actual baguette itself. The baguettes were underbaked. They were pale, stodgy and lacked any kind of crust. They reminded me of the type of bread you get from a deli counter at a bottom rung grocery store. The actual sandwiches were also extremely small. I had the ham and cheese, and it didn't have the cornichons on it that I am accustomed to and I was really missing them especially since the bread didn't really have any texture other than mush. I feel like a good baguette should be a litmus test of a good French bakery, and this place didn't deliver unfortunately. Probably won't be back. read more

The place was five star, ten star, whatever star perfect for what I wanted, which was a tasty pastry and strong coffee. I had, still warm almond croissant that was as good as I've had for a long time, and I hunt out almond croissants the way a mongoose hunts out cobras. It was the middle of the day, so the coffee thermos only gave me 2 inches of coffee. The incredibly gracious French lady who I have no doubt is the owner, knocked me out in Americano to fiil up my cup, which could not have been more perfect. I sat inside, but there is a nice backyard patio. The chairs are uncomfortable little French bistro chairs, but that's just added to the ambience! read more

Have patronized Les Pascals several times since my 5 star review. Today the croissants, pastries and tuna sandwiches were mediocre at best. What the hell happened? Croissant was not puffy and crunchy. Discount supermarket quality. Scrunched down and doughy. The tuna baguettes were a poor jokes. Bread was hardly better than Subway sandwich white. There was about a tablespoon of tuna salad spread inside. Maybe a blessing. A talented 6 year old can make better tuna fish salad from a can of Starkist. I honestly hope that today's disappointment was an aberration. That Mr. Pascal is on vacation and the dishwasher was baking last night. I'm going to visit one more time and if the food is this bad again it's a scathing one star review and a lifetime ban. read more

Scrumptious Parisian pastries and the super friendly French owner transport you to the street of France. Everything I tried was delicious and I especially adore the meringue which is perfectly chewy in the center but crispy on the outside. What a charming French bakery in the sleepy little village of Glen Ellen! You can't miss the happy yellow exterior across from the Glen Ellen Village Market...you'll also likely see a line of locals and visitors waiting to get in. Parking is limited but worth hunting for. Once inside the patisserie, you'll smell a symphony sweetness. Everything looked delicious too. As others have said, my latte was just OK. But the spinach-bacon quiche was very flavorful and satisfying - ask to have it heated if you plan to eat right away. The star of my visit was the lemon tart - joy to the eyes and the tastebuds! Sweet, tangy, perfection! Highly recommend!!! Next time I'll get a lemon tart again and try the raved-about Croque Madame. read more

Cute little bakery and cafe with authentic French pastries and breads. We were looking for a dessert option after lunch, so we had a lemon tart and a Napoleon (really, a Mille Fauille). Both were super delicious and prepared to perfection! I only wish they had more options for fruity pastries that didn't involve raspberry fillings or toppings. Our drinks of choice to cool down after the visit to the nearby Jack London State Historic Park were an iced tea and an iced coffee. They add an espresso shot in the iced coffee making for a reasonably strong drink. They offer both mango-flavored and regular iced tea. When we arrived around 1 pm, there was a decently long line which didn't get any shorter as we progressed though it. Two servers were trying to be as efficient as possible, but making drinks is the slowest part of the process. Their backyard seating was full, so we enjoyed our dessert on their front porch overlooking the busy Arnold Dr. I appreciated that they offer compost and recycling bins, in addition to the landfill trash. This offering gives change to the guests to reduce their impact on the environment. read more
