Slowest Les Schwab anywhere. I tried to get a flat tire fixed on a trailer. This Les Schwab said they don't warranty trailer tires. It is a brand new tire with the stickers still on the tire and they won't warranty it. While endless waiting for a tire they didn't even get to, I called Commercial Tire across the street and they quickly put on a new tire and we were on the road in 10 minute. It took me longer to get my flat tire back from Les Schwab then it did for Commercial Tire to buy one and have it mounted. Les Schwab was not even busy and most of their bays were open. I'd rather pay full price elsewhere than put up with that crap. You can keep your BS warranty that Les Schwab offers. Every sign in your store brags about your warranty and nowhere does it say trailer tires are exempt. Fraudulent advertising. read more

I have never had a bad experience! Les Schwab's are always amazing and this facility is no different! I came in for a battery because Hyundai Motors in Boise was horrible to me and over charging like crazy. The les Schwab men drove all the way to Kuna to get me the battery I needed and squeezed me in a little past closing time to install it for me. I do not remember his name, but he was a red head and seemed to be a manager, he was so great and had an amazing demeanor with not only the costumers but the staff also seemed to respect and enjoy him as well. Scheduled truck for brakes because they haven't been done since I bought it over 15 years ago. Get in for scheduled appointment. The gal that scheduled me didn't put that I wanted my brakes done but instead had it scheduled as a check! Now have to sait for them to locate and get all the parts. I guess that they feel that they make enough money and customers time isn't worth anything. If I wanted it checked out, I would ask for a check! I've used Les Schwab on Cole Rd for over 15 years and have never had them treat me this way. If I take a vehicle in say I want something done and had an appointment, it usually got done unless it was some strange fluck. Really disappointed in Les Schwab as a whole since the family sold the business. Probably will be moving my business to another company. read more

Honestly I only ever come here to get my tires that are already on rims changed in the spring and fall, but they are always fantastic. I love that they have walk in available for this this service. They have always been honest about the condition of tires and recommended everything we needed to do and what could wait. Getting in and out of this location can be a total nightmare. That aside there is ample parking every time I've visited. The waiting room is meh, but it's a car shop. I can't speak for any other service they offer but I'm pleased every time! read more

I needed help fixing my tire. I just bought my car from a dealership so the tire wasn't a Les Schwab tire. I went to discount tire first because I had bought some tire there previously. I offered to pay but they said they fix tires for free. Here's the catch, it has to be in the center of the tire tread. My hole was in the tread but and inch away from the side wall. I knew there was a chance I would get pressured to buy a new tire. They didn't take two seconds before trying to get me to buy a tire. I said no way.. I went to Les Schwab and I asked how much they charge to fix a tire. They said it's free and though the front desk wasn't very friendly at first or quick to help me they did work me into the queue. The workers in the back were great. Tyler who's only worked at Les Schwab for four months was friendly and courteous. He fix my tire in under 30 mins, even though he was very busy. He even carried the tire to my car, though I offered to take it my self. So in short the front end wasn't as awesome as the back but overall it was a good experience. 414% Markup on Parts! I took a vehicle in to get it aligned. They brought back a list of parts that they said needed replaced. I think they were screwing with me because some of those pieces (tie rod ends) were replaced about 20,000 miles ago. The thing that really surprised me is how much they marked up their parts! You can order the stuff in, do it yourself, and save so much money. Even if everything they said really is bad, I can replace it all myself for about $160+shipping vs. the $906 bill they handed me. Which is what I'm going to do. Then I'm going to pay someone else to do the alignment. The response from the manager claims that the parts are high quality and that they are worth it. I've attached a picture of the quote. It has the part numbers on it, so anyone who is interested can look up the true cost. It definitely doesn't look like they buy their stuff from premium brands. Please forgive my chicken scratch where I wrote down the price of what I picked out as an equivalent part online. I hope this is useful to anyone else getting quotes at different shops as well. Long story: Went in to get breaks checked. They ended up telling me my tie rods are too loose and need replaced for $300 along with breaks. I decided the tie rods are more important, so they replaced them after 4 hours 30 minutes. They didn't attach the reservoir boots that hold the lubricant in. I took pictures of it because I had to wait 2 days until they were open again. Little did I know, they knew about not putting the boots on because they claim they were out of zip ties at the time. They decided not to tell me about it at all. I for one don't understand how they claim to be part of Les Schwab, because all they did to "make it right" was waste my time, force me to take time off work to get my wife's car fixed, and tell me that I am wrong using excuses about the job they said they did. If I could rate in the negative I would shut this store down for not following the company ethics. TL;DR: Customer service - 0/100 Quality work - 0/100 Manager involvement - 0/100 Wait time - 0/100 This store fails to meet any criteria for a good experience. The manager didn't even get called to handle my problem correctly and now I am writing this review because it is all I have. read more

It was almost closing time on a dark and cold Monday night. My son and I had driven from Burns to pick up a 1975 Airstream renovation project - upon arriving we found the tires to be pretty well shot - and not safe to trek home with. I called the Les Schwab on Cole Rd - a 6 minute drive away. I spoke with Jeff Ratzesberger - the Store Manager. He was extremely helpful, accommodating, and definitely seemed to care about us. He kept his team waiting for us. We showed up about 10 minutes after closing and sure enough - there they were - waiting and ready to help. EVERY SINGLE GUY at that store smiled at us, helped us, and made us feel taken care of. It was amazing. Customer service was 5 star for sure. Was looking for tires for a performance vehicle, and wanted to know if they carried anything with a "Z" speed rating. The salesman told me speed ratings on tires don't mean anything bcause it's a European system that isn't used in America. I bought a set of tires elsewhere that were clearly marked with a "Z" speed rating (Update) I needed a replacement lug nut for one that fell off a friends car, stopped in to see if they had one that would fit and was told "We don't stock lug nuts, but we can order them in." I had them look up the lug nut I needed, they wanted $12.50 per lug not and said it would take a week to get there. I said thanks, but no thanks, went to O'Reily on Overland and Latah, they had exactly what we needed in stock for $2.00. Les Schwab is closer to my house, but I think I will go out of my way to avoid them from now on. read more

This company has gone way down hill. They will not help with my batteries warranty. On my other vehicle they damaged while they were installing brakes. I use to like Less Schwab in the 80's and early 90's. I will never use Less Schwab again. I trust a shade tree mechanic much more. I use to not mind spending a little extra for good work and a great warranty. Now they do not care. Was looking at some wheels and overheard a salesman give/offer a guy a lower price on a set of wheels. I asked for the same price. They won't allow appointments saying it's first come first serve. They will have your vehicle in the bay and will drop what they are doing on it to run out of the bay to greet and help a new customer to completion (while no further work is done on your vehicle) if they think they will get a tire sale off it. Then tell you that's normal. To Chris: Not likely. I won't return to allow that kind of poor ethics to take my business again. They also failed to inform me I needed two tires replaced on this same trip. The 2nd tire center I went to reviewed their work and informed me. I shouldn't have to go twice to a tire center. I ended up with what I initially was just a flat tire that turned into two flat tires and two busted wheels on the left side after bumping a raised medium on the road. I had just purchased my two front tires from a different Les Schwab location less than six months earlier. When I take my vehicle in and receive my initial service call, I am prepared for receiving news that I have two damaged wheels and a damaged tire. The representative I'm speaking with then proceeds to tell me he recommends I purchase 4 completely new tires since the other tires were worn. I informed him that the other front tire was less than six months old and there is no way I should have to pay for a full set of new tires. I then advise him that I had just purchased the front tire less than six months ago so if he was recommending that I replace that tire then it should be covered under warranty. He then proceeds to backtrack and say that the tire is alright but the issue is that the new tire will be higher up than the other tires. I again express my frustration with his recommendation that I pay for a new tire that I had just purchased from a different Les Schwab less than six months ago. He then says he will talk to a manager to see if there is a warranty they could work out so I could replace the two front tires and only replace the one. When he calls me back, he quotes me a price where I am paying full price for the two tires. At this point I am quite over my experience and I ask him what the price is for the one tire as I shouldn't have to pay to replace a tire I just bought less than six months ago from a different store location. In essence, I discovered that Les Schwab does not honor their warranties and will go to any measures to try and sell you something you don't need then make it your problem when you refuse to do it. read more

The week of 3-8-2020 I met with an individual at the Meridian location to discuss replacing the wheels and tires on my vehicle, we agreed on items that needed to be ordered. A few days later during the installation process, I was made aware that the wheels would not fit my vehicle. I asked if it was due to the offset and was told yes. The individual (I believe was trying to be helpful) indicated there was an alternative set available in Nampa, not the same style, but I was good with them. They were kind enough to drop me at home and pick me up when the work was complete. I paid and left. Over the next couple of days, something did not look correct. When I reviewed the documentation I realized the wheels and tires were not the size we originally agreed on. When the replacement wheels were offered, I was not informed the width was narrower (rear) or narrower tires were being installed I called and spoke with the individual, who responded that it was his error and he needed to check inventory to offer a remedy. He seemed to genuinely wish to offer a potential solution, although my preference would be to replace the wheels with the agreed upon width. But, I was willing to see what could be done. Having not heard back after several days, I called again. We discussed options and he indicated he would replace the rear tires with the size we agreed upon during that call and he would notify me when they were available. I went to a cut-rate tire shop in Nampa and had a leveling kit put on my truck. On my way back to Mountain Home just outside of Meridian, my truck started making a weird grinding noise from the front driver side wheel. I thought maybe a piece of road debris had gotten stuck some how. I kept driving but everytime i went over 60 it would do it. As i pulled into Boise it got way worse, constant. The first exit I could get to was Cole, I took it. As I made the left on Cole I spotted the Les Schwab, I knew I was safe. The only problem was they closed 20 minutes before I got there. I parked and got out. I noticed one bay door open and my spirits rose knowing help was at hand. I walked towards the front door and could see someone finishing their day in the office. I waved at him and he waved back, indicating I could go in, out of the freezing cold. Shiloh introduced himself and asked if he could help me. I knew the shop was closed, but I was in a bind. I had to admit to him I had used another tire shop and some how they had damaged my vehicle. He said he would take a look and we walked back out into the bitter cold. He climbed down into the ice with a flashlight and started inspecting the work the other shop had done. It didn't take him long to find the bolt sticking up into my axle and show it to me. Shiloh reassured me it was a fixable problem and took me back inside. He took my information, looked up my account and created a work order. He did all this well after the shop had closed and set aside whatever work he was finishing up when I walked in, to help me. I am very greatful, that level of service is rare these days. I called the next morning and asked to speak with a manager, I was told I would have to wait a few minutes because Shiloh was busy with another customer. I told the receptionist never mind, I can't brag about an employee to the employee I'm bragging about. I asked if my truck would be worked on soon and was informed they had already started. I received a call from the tech working on my truck a short time later telling me they had completed the work but my balljoints were bad. He said he would replace them and thanked me for my time. No surprise there on a truck pushing a hundred thousand miles. By the time I got there a little before noon, my truck was already finished and waiting for me. I then asked them to install a new set of tires for me ( I purchased them the day before at the shop I won't mention here). A short while later I gladly paid and was on my way. I am glad I had the opportunity to tell this story and appreciate the great service Les Schwab and it's fine employees offer. I have seen the commercials telling horror stories that were too much and employees too good to be true. Now i have lived one and will tell the world my Les Schwab story for the rest of my days. read more

Called to schedule an appointment for my sons car to have the oil changed, a tire, replaced, and a brake light bulb swapped out. Was told in these exact words "Nope we don't do that! Except for the tire". The woman who answered the phone was rude and when I stated "the one downtown changes our oil and and light bulbs, along with our tire needs.." She interrupted me saying "Well we don't." I just hung up on her. It wasn't just her words but also her tone of voice and condescending demeanor. I've always gotten my tires, brakes, and related items from Les Schwab. The service is always great and service as fast as possible - although the crowd does not always allow for a quick trip. I recently visited the Cole Road location after noticing a slow leak in one of my tires. After a few hours (it was packed!) they had it sealed up and even rotated my tires. All for free! Gotta love having a warranty. read more

The employees were harsh, impatient and rude. I have always thought of Les Schwab as an upstanding company but this store location DOES NOT live up to that reputation. I overheard what I assumed was the manager named Jeff using such terrible language towards his employees; I was embarrassed for him. They originally thought I might need two parts repaired, and after I approved the work, they were honest when they determined that only one part had failed. Totally Amazing! I made an appointment to have my tires rotated and had lined up a ride home. Before I put one foot inside my house, my phone rang and my vehicle was ready to pick up! We are talking 15 minutes!! Out of shock, I called the main office asking them to confirm that there was not a mix-up, and my car was really ready to go. The service crew had doubled up, rotated my tires, checked the air pressure, checked my brakes and the wear and tear on my tires all as I had asked, plus the other routine checks that they do! These guys took great care of me. I had a flat tire. They fixed it for me for free. They also found a broken CV axle and repaired it. Somehow the part they ordered wasn't quite right and I was getting a check engine for the speed sensor located in the area of repair. Two weeks later I took it back asking them to see if maybe they knocked it loose or unplugged it by accident. They looked the area over, discovered the part they put on wasn't completely right, ordered the right part and replaced it with no stress or extra hardships or money on my part. I was so relieved. They were so kind and didn't treat me like I was accusing them of breaking something. Les Schwab claims to pride themselves on customer service, but I have no such thing at this les Schwab location. I called this location to make an appointment and they told me I had to go online and do it myself instead of taking the extra 30 seconds to do it themselves. So I went online and made my appointment and show up to only be told that I have no appointment. I was told my service would only take 20 minutes so I could wait here. But I have been sitting in the waiting area for over an hour and my car hasn't even been put in the shop. This experience is ridiculous and very disappointing. read more

I bought four tires in 2012 and all four has "45000miles warranty" now i drove only less than 20000miles they are in a horrible shape. Came here today they give too many excuse why that is so bad they said its all my fault warranty wont cover and they said buy new tires they give me discount probably $5 what im guessing out of $500 tires that i purchased two years ago. I suffered a flat tire and decided to try the Les Schwab off of Cole again even after having suffered through a previous substandard experience, (story for another time).. I needed a tire I brought with me switched out on the rim with the damaged tire. I was told it would be about a half hour. I waited anxiously for fear of my vehicle being towed 2 hours and 20 minutes. (time taken off of their work order) Never was there a "we haven't forgotten about ya" or a, "Sorry its going to take a little longer than we thought." If there is a patient that waits for more than 10 minutes at our office they are offered a cup of coffee and a status report on when they will be seen. As I watched the musical chairs of people coming in after me and leaving before me, (and a couple who figured out how to make fresh coffee and popcorn and then get rebuked by a Les Schwab employee for doing so), I became conscious of the fact that since I wasn't spending big money, I was dross to them. They only do the right thing when it helps themselves. This place has no respect for peoples time. I live less than 10 minutes away and my wife could have picked me up and taken me back. The GOOD NEWS is: 1)My car wasn't towed 2)As I was leaving I recognized a lady I knew, she acknowledged me as I came toward her and as she was conversing with a service agent, I announced I would run away from here as fast as I could. 3)If Les Schwab has the fortitude, I get to anticipate a letter or email stating how sympathetic to my plight they are 4)I'm enjoying the new 10 ply tires I purchased from "Discount Tires" on my suburban since the pretend 60,000 mile Les Schwab tires only lasted 40,000 miles. And they got the tire sensor light to go off that this place couldn't, saying the computer needed more time to accurately read the tire pressures.
