I did not go here for new tires but the experience I had here, is the reason why I will go back and give them my business when I do need tires. My car warned me that my air pressure was low & my dad let me know that I could just go to Les Schwab & they would so it for free. Cool. Quick fix, didn't expect much out of my visit, I honestly expected them to be annoyed. Well, I was wrong. Tyler & James helped me out. James was sweet & eager to learn & help. Tyler taught with patience, encouragement & kindness. He explained to me that they're trying to find a good fit for James. I'm sure I could've gone somewhere else & had a quicker experience, like the one I was expecting but I'm so happy I was helped by James & Tyler today instead. I really appreciate Les Schwab giving someone so special such as James an opportunity to work & be apart of what seems like such a heartwarming community. It really lifts my heart & helped me start my Monday off with a smile. There was also a woman who was helping James & she was equally wonderful to watch as she interacted with James. Do NOT trust thus this store for tire care. I bought tires at Silver Lake Schawb store for my Subaru crosstreck before a cross-country drive. Stopped in Mississippi to have tires checked & rotated. Schawb has so badly overtightened the lug nuts that one stud broke off in the brake drum when attempted to remove tire, & the treads on other lugs were visibly overstressed & messed up. Will never have service done by any Les Schawb store again. read more

I took my new car to get a slow leak fixed, the staff was polite and even the fix they did was good. It was a patch job but they damaged my tire even more by tearing the seal bead which totally messed up the tire so it wouldn't hold air. The tech didn't even mention it. Myself and my family have always used LS for tires. We have had some other small repairs done here but mostly tires. My car needed new wheels so came here. We were greeted quickly and purchased tires right away. I already knew my car was having issues mostly with the brakes. So I told him ahead of time they said they would get me an estimate. I was told my car would take 45-hour. It took 2. Only to find out my car had been ready for over a half hr but no one decided to call me. The tech that came in was rude as hell. 1. Don't take your car to a LS for ANYTHING other than tires. 2. The kid tried to tell me I shouldn't drive my car for the time due to my back brakes being completely warped and it not being safe. My car functions with my front brakes not my back but I started to think maybe I was mistaken. The cost for just the back was almost $400. 3. After being scared and told not to drive my car I call my boyfriend who is an auto body tech. He told me as I already knew that their estimate was BS and that my car uses the front not back. After getting home and showing him the estimate he went and looked at my car. 4. After looking at it he determined my back brakes were fine. My front brakes were warped. 5. Prime example your employees have no idea what they are talking about. Don't have your staff come out and scold and scare your customers when they don't know what they are talking about. Maybe it was a mistake and he meant front not back but again my estimate is for the back only because again those are warped! If I would have let this place do the repair I would have been driving around still with an unsafe car. Will NEVER use your services other than for tires! I stopped in on the fly today when my tire pressure monitor came on. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly Lindsay. She gave me the choice of just topping it off with air or, waiting for repair. I chose to wait because I have had an issue recently with same tire. They had my vehicle pulled into their shop and repaired in under 45 minutes. The facility was very clean and every employee was courteous and professional. No nonsense like their local competitors telling you that the nail is in the sidewall, while just trying to get you to purchase an unnecessary new tire. I highly recommend this location in particular. They understand customer service while respecting their customer's time. Give them a try. My low tire light came on today so my husband immediately took my car to les Schwab, they promptly checked all the tires and fill or removed air where needed, made sure all the levels were equal in all 4 tires. 10 minutes in and out. The kid( I say kid but he is in his early 20's) knew a lot about tires and car makes and models. All this and no cost! Seriously they are the best... why would anyone want to go anywhere else? Went in with a brake caliper that I was having trouble getting the piston to twist back in after about 10 minutes of standing there the guy comes back over and tells me my caliper is broken 10 minutes after that, I go to O'Reilly's and get the caliper to myself And being blind in one eye, I was able to do it no problem so I don't know what kind of experience these guys have, but he told me my caliper needed to be replaced when he just didn't know it what he was doing and didn't know how to use the caliper tool properly read more

Im new to the West coast and had to figure out where to take my car for any tire issues aka nails n such, so I was referred to Les Schwabs. I found one near my location and went to see what could be done about my situation. I told him that my tire was loosing air so I thought it was a nail and he assured me that they will get it fixed. After having a 2hr wait to be seen I finally got my car checked and he came out to tell me that it wasn't a mail and that it was some kind of bulb or something and that I would need to change everything including the tire so he quoted me $167 which I was more than ok with but I had to take care of something that day and could not actually have them do it then. Today I realized there was another Les Schwab location literally less than 5 min away so I thought hey it's the same company let me take it and have it done there. Long story short the guy fixed my tires said it was a mail and confirmed it was nothing else wrong with it and was surprised when I showed him the quote paper from the other location and reassured me it was just a mail and all was fixed free of charge! Soooo what your saying is that this location was trying to charge me for something that I didn't even need with a straight face? WOW not good for making me trust Les Schwabs in the future. I had a low pressure notice come up in my car Monday morning and upon going to a gas station to put some air in it, saw a huge lumber staple in my tire. Stopped into Les Schwab around noon to have them repair the tire. There were 2 cars in the bay and at least 3 mechanics working. The employee I spoke with when dropping off my car told me that it would be done within the hour. I went to the strip mall nearby and upon returning a little more than an hour later, saw that my car was still in the same parking spot I left it in. While I was hoping that the car was already done, I had a gut feeling that it hadn't been touched yet. Another mechanic told me that it would realistically be 30 to 40 more minutes until they got it done. Ended up going to Walmart (EEEEEK) and they got it done right away for $10. read more

At this point, not even deserving of a whole star. Between 2 months ago I pulled into the Les Schwab in Ballard with a flat tire on my driver side front. The shop was extremely busy and I was told that there would be a 6 hour wait to have the tire replaced. I was okay with that because I was still in the middle of a shift at work. I was also told that they didn't have the exact size tire that I needed but they had something that was close. I soon realized, to my surprise, the tire that I was charged $40 for had a slow leak. Not only that but in the process of using that tire to get to and from work it wore out and decimated my outside brake pad on the driver's side front wheel, in turn damaging my driver's, outside rotor. Since I have an account with Les Schwab there will be a record of this visit to the Ballard location. would I like to happen right now is an effective resolution that is not going to cost me more money than the $40 I paid for a tire that was worth way less. my reason for this requested resolution is because if I was given the right tire, or warned about any adverse reactions to having a different sized tire on my car I would have changed it out a lot faster. I've determined that it was in fact of tire change that was inadequate, causing the brake damage the pad demolition. Prior to having the tire on the van changed all brakes worked very well. I'd also really like to know why I was given a "good used tire" supposedly, that had a slow leak in it?! Aren't the tires checked for quality before resale?! I'm 41 years of age, born and bred in Washington state and raised to believe, by my mother, that Les Schwab was a great name and a very trustworthy company. I'd like to keep my tire and wheel care with your company. I know it wouldn't be detrimental to lose my business, I would however like to retain a mutual respect. I'm going to the 112th, Everett Les Schwab to see if they can resolve this issue...to be continued! After visiting the Everett 112th Street location I am certain that I am going to pay off and close my account. I spoke with an assistant manager named Erik who made no effort to do anything to resolve the issue except deflect responsibility. He attempted to explain how it's not Les Schwab's fault, even after the evidence presented shows none of the brake issues occurred until after the tire was changed. *He didn't offer or suggest removing the tires to see what the underlying issue COULD HAVE BEEN* Needless to say I am very disappointed in this company. *Response to Nate* -I understand that the tire change wouldn't specifically affect the brakes. What I'm failing to understand is why no one is willing to look into the possibility that even though it was a simple tire change, could a pin have been dropped or knocked loose...before my tire change my rotor was affixed securely. Before I had the brake pads replaced after, the rotor was basically falling off. Again, I understand that replacing a tire has nothing to do with the brakes but is there the possibility that something, anything could've happened, incidentally, that would cause such damage? It's an old van, with a lot of miles...there's a chance. What would it hurt to examine the wheel and make a professional diagnosis? That's your industry isn't it? In all honesty this is the very first time in my entire history with Les Schwab that I have bought a vehicle in and they have NOT made any attempt to examine what the car was being bought in for. -Thank you for offering to replace the tire! That's a lot more than I was offered when I arrived at your 112th St, Everett location. Assistant manager Erik came off as bothered and completely complacent. Nevermind the fact that I have an account with Les Schwab. Despite any appearance issues or the fact that I'm 6'10" or African American, I had the actual receipt with me and presented it to Erik. After said presentation and allowing him to read an excerpt of what was sent to corp/customer service, Erik still never offered or suggested removing the tire to examine the wheel. Or replace the tire since I had my proof of purchase in hand! He did point out that they didn't sell used tires...I guess that means my tire can't be fixed there because it wasn't purchased new, at that specific location...? We visited this store while vacationing in the area and noticing a loud noise coming from our tire/wheel. We'd greeted us and was able to quickly address our issues. I had a couple of things that needed fixing/assessing for my car's wheels. Shaylee was super helpful. She got me an appointment quickly the next morning after I called. She was very knowledgeable and was able to find a significantly cheaper option to try first before shelling out big bucks. It would have been possibly hundreds of dollars down to $25! I am not a "car person" and would not have known any better if she had just gone ahead and did the more expensive thing we had previously agreed upon! They went out of their way to do the right thing. I respect that level of honesty in business, as so often a place will try to get whatever they can get out of you! I went in with a flat tire yesterday, and had the best possible possible. The technician (Jovany if memory serves) came out to greet me and assess the damage as soon as I parked. I assume that flat tires are routine for him, but he still expressed empathy for my situation. I was processed promptly, and only 20 minutes or so later he reported that he was able to repair the tire at no cost. He even took the initiative to (properly) put my spare back into the storage compartment. He then explained that the tread on another tire was showing signs of wear and that I should replace it soon, but he wasn't the least bit pushy. I have never had a bad experience at any Les Schwab, and this was one of my best ever. This is why I never want to go anywhere else. read more

Had a complete brake job done on my wife's '03 Sequoia in 2011. A month later we drove 3k miles on vacation, and had a mushy pedal coming down Snoqualmie Pass. Next day went to take it in, and brake fluid had leaked and ruined the painted wheel. They fixed the brakes and replaced the wheel. I was 'kinda' happy cuz they weren't scraping our remains off the mountain! I actually went back when my daughter needed two new tires for her car. So I take an ATV wheel in to have a tire mounted and bearings replaced. My wife picked it up, and the next day I'm like, wth the freaking bearings don't even turn. I take it back and the guys like"they were pressed in correctly'. I ask if he would give me a car with a wheel that wouldn't turn? It's obvious that they installed them incorrectly, but would they make it right? No. Les Schwab says that all their stores are 'independent' meaning they won't stand behind their work either. Dropped off a tire, with a bent rim. Gave them my car model and all the info. I arrived back & picked up the rim then went home to install it. The rim had the wrong bolt pattern & they gave me the wrong size lug nuts. Had to go back for a return and they didn't even have 5x120 bolt pattern wheel. They should be experienced in bolt patterns, if not use a simple google search. It is ridiculous that they put on a 5x114.3 bolt pattern rim on my tire. I told them that it is a 5x120 bolt pattern. The employee continued to say that, "This rim should fit, not sure why it didn't". He then proceeded to say to that, "These guys didn't know how to put on the rim, but we'll just give them a refund anyways. Horrible service & unproffesional. read more

I am delighted with my new tires and brakes... I noticed such a difference commuting into Seattle today! The Silver Lake Les Schwab employees and service were excellent. I went in the day before to get more information and an estimate, dropped my car off at 8am the next day and had it back by 1pm. My biggest concern was pricing and they gave me several options that fit my budget and did not put any pressure on doing unnecessary work.
