We took our car here for a tire rotation. When they were finished and after we drove the car home, we realized they forgot to give us back the key to our wheel locks. Upon returning, they said they couldn't find our key!!! Totally lost. My husband is non confrontational, and just left without them finding our key. Yup. We ate the cost! The person I was working with (Benjamin) was impatient, condescending, and he mocked me. His response to everything was "I don't know". He didn't provide any options to help resolve my tire problems. The worst experience with this location. Went in for a simple replacement of my tires. The tires were installed, however they gouged my oem front wheel. Not a cheap wheel, over $1k new. Ok, that sucks and they agreed to replace the wheel. Accidents happen and although this will now take up my personal time to deal with, I was ok with the resolution. Fast forward a couple weeks and the wheel arrived to the store and I went in to have it replaced. They installed it. I asked for my original wheel and the store manager initially refused, stating they needed to send it back to the dealer to get back the core charge, citing that he did me a favor by ordering a new wheel instead of having my original repaired. I was baffled as not once was I told they would keep my original wheel, or was it mentioned replacing the wheel when they damage it, is not their standard practice. Ultimately he agreed to give me my original wheel back and glad I insisted on it....because they ordered and installed the wrong style of wheel! I got home and was going to clean up all the install wax, grease from the tire install and noticed the wheel didn't quite look right, close, but not the right wheel. They appear to have ordered the previous gen of my wheel style 611m...instead of the correct style 469m wheel for my vehicle model year. When I attempted to give the manager the wheel model, it was brushed off as he said he had the info needed about my car...See pics...now I have mismatched front wheels on my car. Unbelievably poor experience and wasted time that was just supposed to be a new set of tires and an hour of time, but instead has turned in to a multi-week debacle.. I have been going to this location for many years. Had very good experience in the past. Staff changes every time Im there. Brought in my new car to remove run flat tires where I did not like how they rode. Ordered new tires to replace them. First the person asked how many miles on my car and I said 1533mi. I had several requests and one of them is to take care of my new Black wheels. After the install, there were tool marks, scuffs, and some scratches to them. If they would only treat wheels as if they were theirs. I watched one tech prying on the bead with that metal bar that was against the paint of the wheel. They really need to do something to prevent these tool marks on painted wheels. After I left, I looked at my receipt and notice 15333 mi was documented. Had to go back to get that corrected. This experience, not so great as in the past. I didn't report my findings when I got home to look at the wheels, but it would be a waste of time. These folks are suppose to be pros at this and they need to take more care when handling wheels. Ordering the tires days before matching the price of a competitor was good. read more

I had a slow leak on one of the tires and I know this place can fix it. It's just a matter of how much time I can spare. Came here right after a big holiday thinking that I can easily get in/out in maybe an hour. Nope! More like 5-6 hours later, it's fixed. I get it - sooo busy because it's been cold and everyone's tire needs attention. They can text when it's done but disappointed that they don't offer rides/shuttle. Best thing to do is to come here right when they open 8am to avoid the long wait. They have a small sitting area with a small cooler filled with sprite and a hot water dispenser. They don't have much room to just hang out. Also, it can be too sunny with the glare. The sitting area doesn't have that cozy feeling but it's more like a drop off scenario. All in all, they fixed it and it didn't cost me a cent. I've bought tires from them before and they were great. One more thing to keep in mind, the warranty covers the tries not for the account. read more

I've been going to discount tire as long as I've been driving. Over 30 cars later, and I still use them. Yesterday I had an issue where there was only one model of tire that fit my car, and the employees working there popped 3 of these tires trying to get these on. Yes I had to wait longer than normal, but it's how THOMAS K handled it; is the reason for these 5 stars. Discount tire made sure to make things right for the extra time, and upgraded my tires. I live 2-3 mins away and the manger saved me an Uber ride over by picking me up in his personal vehicle. I generally like this company and these people. Good service, good quality, and good prices. The problem I've had is scheduling their services. Yesterday I found I had a flat tire. So I call them and the guy says they can't get me in until today. So I ask, "Do I need an appointment?" The guy says "No. Just come in tomorrow after 8am." So today I come in and the guy says It'll be like 3 or 4 hours wait. And I'm like, "Can I make an appointment?" And he says, "Yes, for tomorrow." SERIOUSLY? Why couldn't he have told me that yesterday? So if I could tell their management anything, it would be too put competent people on the phone. OMG, Leon E, the salesman, immediately stepped in, kindly suggesting what he would recommend...no hard sales pitch. He matched prices with Costco, where we usually get tires, but since my car is old,he found some tires that were much less expensive with a great warranty. Leon, himself, fixed my needs as soon as he was free. He also filled air into my spare, replaced it in trunk, told me this should be done periodically (5 years?) as cold weather defuses air too. Who knew that after getting my first tire rotation with them, two days later I would hit a huge pot hole on the freeway that would ruin 2 of my left-side tires. They had my car's odd-sized low profile tires in stock which made for a less stressful situation. In addition to ruining 2 tires, the pothole ended up damaging 2 of my wheels. Buyer beware! Make sure that you take pictures of the body of your vehicle immediately before you drop off and inspect your car while on their premise before driving home. I have 2 new dents on my door caused by a circular object. I think that it was caused by the end of a 5-ton jack's long handle. The store manager Roux led me to believe that the claim would be taken care of but ultimately because it's their word against mine. I have to pay for the $1500 worth of damages. Rant and Rave: First time using Discount Tires. This location was absolutely disappointing. I went in with an appointment to get my tires checked and also potentially changing to winter tires. I scheduled this appointment because weeks before I had a screw in my tire and stopped at a local tire shop to patch it up. The Tech at that tire shop told me that my tires were cracked and I should look into purchasing all new tires. I knew he wasn't trying to up-sale me because to told me to go to my preferred tire shop to purchase new tires. I'm a traveling Surgical Tech and drive a lot between Arizona and Washington, so road safety is of upmost importance. Disappointment 1: I scheduled an appointment for 12:15....waited in line for over 30 minutes. Disappointment 2: I Told the Tech that I was relocating to a town that is currently snowing and that I needed my tires checked for cracks and potentially change to winter tires. He barely looked at them and said "Just put chains, you'll be fine...but we'll check them anyways" Disappointment 3: When my car was finally taken into the dock, they literally took 2 minutes. And told me they were fine and pulled my car out. I know they were busy but I felt like they rushed me out. Disappointment 3: When I got in my car, they over inflated my tires. I always keep my tires at the recommended 35psi....my tires were at 40, 38, 42, and 41. Not a whole lot....not a big deal. Something just didn't feel right so I booked an appointment at a different Discount Tire location. Still putting faith in Discount Tires since they have locations in most of the places I travel to. RAVE!!! I decided to go to Discount Tires at 361 S Grady Way in Renton, WA Hardly any wait, Checked in, and I told the Tech (John K G) the same thing as the previous location and when we go outside to do the initial inspection of the tires....he AUTOMATICALLY saw the cracks! He told me my tires were 5 years old, the tread was great but there was even cracks in them. Most people don't realize that tires do have a shelf life. He recommended tires that were best suitable for my traveling needs. Told me they don't have them in stock but he could order them and get them in the store in a couple of hours. He even took the time to explain the warranty covers if anything was to happen. Thank you John for paying attention and being so helpful! Back to the other Discount Tires (3123 NE Fourth Street, Renton, WA), I work in Surgery, we get busy, but we never rush through work and compromise people's safety! Safety is always first! This one is a two timer! Frankly, this one surprised me and definitely the case of don't judge a book by it's cover. I've lived in Renton for 40+ years and have seen this place forever. It always looked a little run down and, frankly, the word "discount" in a name makes me think low value. I've always gone to Les Schwab because they were known for their service and it was closer to home and just "the place to go" for tires. Well last November I needed tires for my Lexus and went into LS and they didn't have anything and couldn't get anything for over a week that would fit my car. So I went on the Discount Tire website, found some well rated tires, and found I could order them on their website AND schedule an install time, which was really convenient. And they could get the tires that week. So I did it, showed up at my scheduled time, was greeted by a really friendly guy who took my keys and sent me on my way. Got a ride to work and was surprised to get text messages with an update on the progress, from check in to going into the bay to completion. I then got a separate text that my car was ready for pickup. Super helpful. This past week, my daughters new tires (put on at the dealer) caught a nail in the corner, which I've been told in the past was not repairable. These guys were able to take it in first thing in the morning, repair it from the inside, and had it out of the bay in an hour, again with notifications all along the way. And even though I didn't buy the tires from them, nor have had this car in to them in any fashion, they didn't charge for it. They also were able to work around a locking lug nut even though we didn't have the key. And friendly the whole time. I'm pretty picky, and these guys have been awesome and are now my go to for tires! read more

I witnessed a guy unload all his frustrations on my tire Technician. (He didn't have an apt, and had to wait for an opening). I felt so bad that this tech had to endure the super jerk, I got the team a dozen donuts, with a message of sorry you have to deal with jerks. They open at 8am. I got here at 8:10am and was the second person in the store. They saw me right away to fix my flat tire. I had a nail right in the middle of the tire. At least it wasn't on the sidewall so it was able to get patched up. They checked out my tires and told me I had 5/32" left and wouldn't need new tires now but it was approaching where I would need new tires when it hit 3/32". I received the invoice via email right away and they pulled my SUV into the carport within about 5 minutes. I had to get to work at 9am so this was a good sign. While I waited in the lobby there was hot coffee available but I didn't try it so I can't say anything about it. My car was out in 30 minutes on the dot.
