I honestly wasn't expecting them to say yes that close to closing time, but I mentioned I lived down the street and could be there within a few minutes. Shout out to Anika (I hope I got her name right!) for getting me in so quickly, and also to Matt at the front desk for his great customer service. Both of them were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience stress-free from the moment I walked in. My car was pulled in around 5:30 and the team took care of everything. Long story short -- they repaired my tire AND topped off the air in my other tires completely free of charge. The employees here are seriously awesome. It's rare to find customer service this good these days, especially so close to closing time. You can tell this team genuinely cares about their customers and getting people safely back on the road. LES SCHWAB TRIED TO SCAM ME Would give 0 stars if possible. I had some front end work done on my truck by another shop that I trust. I then went to get an alignment done on my truck at Les Schwab off of Pacific Street. Waited past the full hour (I was told it would take about an hour) and asked for an eta on when my truck would be done. The "mechanic" stated that my cams were seized and that one appeared to be stripped. I informed them that I find that very unlikely as they were removed to install my new upper control arms. I got a snappy comment back from the mechanic about how you would think they should be good and how he can't do the alinement unless I paid for them to install new cams. I then promptly took my truck to my mechanic and told them what Les Schwab had said. They check the cams and were instantly able to crack the cams loose, and verify they were working properly. I would not trust Les Schwab to even check my air pressure cause I'd probably need some new wheels due to some BS reason. DO NOT TRUST THEM. read more

Careful with what kind of service you purchase here, twice now - they rotated my tires - but skipped balancing them. I know without a doubt that they skipped balancing my tires on both of my vehicles because I had both of my vehicles steering wheels slightly shaking right after my visit, so I went to a different Les Schwab location and they said " Your tires are probably not balanced " sure enough - right after my tires were actually balanced - both my vehicles were driving like new. This Les Schwab location in Rocklin off Pacific street skips parts of my and (in my opinion) your service to get more done - at our vehicles expense and our safety. Also, if you schedule a service at 4pm or within a time frame where they don't have enough time, under the poor leadership of their dishonest blahck manager, they will make up an excuse like "You need extensive work here and there before we can do this service, we don't want you to waste your money " but now you think you need to go spend $3,000 on things that are not really needed - then come back and spend more money on what they could have done, but because they wanted to go home - they will make up things to send you on your way. so after many years of using Les Schwab as a business, I take my work vehicle there after replacing everything in the front end to get an alignment for $119 OK torsion bar bolt was broken in half so go ahead and replace it the next day I go pick up my truck and get my for over 1400 I look up the part for the torsion bar key bolt kit at the Chevy dealer to see how much that cost $56 they charged me $438 on top of that my driver's door would not open inside or outside so I gotta crawl through the passenger side door and then when I call for them to take responsibility for it, their technician lies and said it was broken when he got it when he knows damn well he opened the door and drove the truck to the back I'll never use them again after many years of service. I think they're under new management probably the issue. And you know I probably wouldn't have made a big deal out of my door if they didn't rip me off I understand I do it but not $438 for a $60 part that's ridiculous. read more

The professionalism from Les Schwab on Pacific Street is unmatched. Each mechanic I interacted with was respectful, courteous and knowledgeable. I drove in shortly before closing and every member was hard at work. Brian saw me driving up towards the garage and immediately came to my assistance. I explained my maintenance light was on and I was worried about the air pressure on the driver's side tire. Brian, without hesitation asked if he could check my tire pressure. Brain graciously added air to all 4 tires and explained my maintenance light was alerting me to low tire pressure. He said it should go off once I start driving. Brian explained extremes in temperature and the change of seasons can be related to an overnight loss of air in your tires. I called ahead of time to make an appointment, the person on the phone said we are quiet come on in. I drove into the store about 30 minutes later. All I wanted was an oil change and tire rotation. The gentleman said it would be about 2 hours. Why then I said did someone tell me it was not busy, raining out and a holiday. I waited 3 hours for that oil change and tire rotation. Not sure why but when the vehicle a 2023 Toyota Highlander was up in the air, my back hatch was open??? not sure why, should have asked. I was very pleased with the cost of the oil change and free tire rotation, that's if they actually did the rotation. Car only has 12,ooo miles. Couldn't see it that well. Would I come back to this store? most likely not. After the car was done an pulled outside in the parking lot as I waited and waited for someone to call me up. I'll start off by saying this group is friendly. BUT .... I brought my SUV here because they installed the leveling kit on it and it was making a grinding noise. They diagnosed for free, and came back telling me it needed $5,000.00 worth of repair work. Something didn't feel right. I took it to a local reputable repair shop that specializes in this make, and surely, there was just a rock stuck causing the sound. The second shop told me the recommendation from LesSchwab was outrageous and my vehicle needed nothing at all, and especially not what they quoted. I bought 4 new tires and I noticed that they charge me Siping for 4 tires without asking me if I want it. Look at the bill and it cost me an additional $67.96 to my bill. I do not recommend Siping unless you are in the snow, ice or a rainy area. I live in Sacramento area. The person did offer me my money back on the four Sipings and I said no. I had flat tire, put the spare tire on. Hand tightened the lug nuts to rim the tightened it the tire wrench. Brought it in to fit the flat tire and was told I crossed threaded the lug nut which caused it to break. I was charged $92 for the replacement. This is the second time lug nuts have broken off at this particular store. Don't be proactive and put a spare time on yourself or they will charge you for anything that breaks when they remove your tire. read more

I had one of their managers explained to me that I needed a new rim and that my tires were old but in good shape so that if I just got a new rim he would replace the tire. I go and buy a new rim and then they told me my tires are too old and they won't do it. Just a way to try to get people to buy new tires. Yesterday I got lucky because i was on time (for a change) regarding my 9am appt. But the real good fortune was working with their veteran mechanic and wheel/alignment specialist- Mike. This mechanic was super thorough, and my truck stretched his 20+ years of experience, which facilitated a determination that surprised both him and myself. Allow me to explain, he showed the data printout that documented his before and after adjustments that showed my truck was in specs for alignment. However, after 5 different test drives and trial/error he discovered that one of my front tires had a defect known as "radial pull," - well, he explained that a defective tire occurs 1 in every 10,000.. also I googled it, so weird to have this issue. Well, talk about real expertise, I went back to the place where I purchased the tire a year ago... and after a lot of testing, they agreed with Mike's assessment and they eventually had to replace the bad Michelin tire. Hahaha, which means my alignment was bad and so was one of my tires. After all said and done, got the new tire installed and FINALLY my truck was driving straight again. Just amazing to learn all about this hidden issue because of Mike's journeyman level work experience. I tip my hat to you sir, thanks a 1x million! Thanks again Mike and Les Schwab for taking great care of my truck at a fair price - really cannot expect more but they exceeded my expectations yet again. Quickly becoming a loyal patron! read more

Well, let's start with do you need tires/alignment? Well - GO TO A LOCAL SHOP & NOT A CORPORATION. This place is overpriced & unwelcoming. I needed a simple alignment on my 17 year old bmw, and we all know bmws don't last long, but we've taken great care of my 5 series. My husband and I go in, and 6 foot ogre tech talked to him in the most condescending manner about "If I cAn FiX iT thEn ILl dO it bUt iF I Can't theN i CaNt". Well not even 20 minutes later this same boob of a technician calls and is spewing out all the "issues", what he failed to realize is that we've been in the car industry for 20 years & have our own project cars, so the wearing of parts is normal for a 15+ year old car. After his schpeal of BS he hit us with "IM gOnNa HaVe tO rEFer YoU to BMW." Moron, why the hell would I take my car back to the dealership with a labor markup for alignment. So I called Redline Tires down the street & they took it in without any complaints or BS excuse of not being able to service the vehicle. Got my car realigned, and the same "issues" we spoke to them about and redline explained I have about a year left on the getting stuff replaced. Overall hard pass for les Schwab. I fill it up and drive to Les Schwab on Pacific Street. They instantly greet me and I go inside. There was a nail in my tire so I just thought they'd plug it. They informed me (and showed me) the sidewall was torn. The other back tire was also cracked. I would have to get two tires. I forgot to tell you I had to be at work and it was 4:55. Well I was told they had discontinued my wheels so now that put me in a bad spot. Buy all new rims for $2500 NOPE!!!! UPDATE: I called to get my tire back yesterday, but they said it was completely buried and they couldn't get it. I went back myself, my tire was RIGHT ON TOP. I took it home and not only does the tire measure at 11 all over it, it was REPAIRABLE and this entire thing could've been avoided. Love Les Schwab as a company, always have. But this rocklin store was very disappointing on my last visit. I came in for a nail in my tire that appeared to be in the side wall, expecting the tire would need to be replaced. The tech came out, leak tested and said it had a slow leak, but that maybe they could patch it because the nail went towards the inside. He would have to take the tire off to know for sure. I opted to drop my car off as there was a wait. At this time he told me the tread was at 10/32 and 100% covered under warranty, and only one tire would need to be replaced if it couldn't be fixed (vehicle is all wheel drive and would need 2 replaced past a certain tread). At 3pm I called to find out what was going on, they said they hadn't started on it yet but that the tire needed to be replaced and they needed to call around to find one. They called back a few minutes later to tell me the tire would not be covered under warranty at all because Les Schwab discontinued the tire. I countered that we paid for those tires through them less than a year ago and they were practically still new, it shouldn't matter that they discontinued carrying them. They said they would call the claims department and let me know... they came back to say never mind we will warranty it for you, and we will have to order it and it'll be here tomorrow. They said I could leave my car overnight or "drive at my own risk" and take it home. They said technically they hadn't done any work on it so they had no liability, but to keep in mind it's got a slow leak. I called my brother who actually works for Les Schwab to ask him what I should do as I need the car for work in the morning. He called and asked them to put my spare on for me, so they did. I should've thought of this, but more so, THEY should've thought of this. The next day I came back to get my new tire put on, and when I went to check out I was charged. I asked why, and the tech said because the tread wear was at 73%. I said the guy yesterday measured it at 10/32, and if the new tire is beyond a 2/32 difference, both rears need to be replaced together. He went out with me and measured the old tire, new tire and tire on the other side. Old tires all measured 10/32, new tire was 12/32, so within range, but also within warranty range. He went to the assistant manager on staff to talk to him about it (Kevin) who agreed but said that the computer system automatically put 73% even though they typed 10/32 in the computer and there's nothing they could do about it. That I would need to call HQ. I talked to my brother who talked to the manager at his store. His manager called to talk to this location, and when that conversation happened, they told him that my tires were at 8/32 and that the new tire was 13/32 so it wasn't covered under warranty. This was a blatant lie. I watched him measure my tires TWO times and he told me right then what they were measuring. So I went and had my tires measured at another Les Schwab, and they said it was 11/32 and 12/32. Had their second story been true, why did they let me leave without replacing the second rear tire? Kevin the assistant manager was personally the one who went through my owners manual when I first got there and told me that they would have to replace both if they didn't measure right. Yet he sent me out of there with supposedly a 5/32 difference?? The way they treated me at this store is so unprofessional. After talking to others about this experience, I heard they have had issues with this store and the one person who still uses them said they won't deal with anyone but Tony, who is the store manager. Nobody should have to jump through all of these hoops over a warranty. Les Schwab isn't the cheapest place to go for tires, but we pay extra for the comfort in knowing the store will back their warranties and treat us right. This location is not the place for that. Either ask for Tony, or use a totally different location. This was absolutely ridiculous! And Kelly the lady at the desk had a terrible attitude and talks trash about people behind their back . I can't say enough good things about this location. I purchased my tires there and have them serviced them there. However I called them to ask if they repaired bent wheel rims. Let me preface this by sharing I had called Costco prior to calling Les Schwab as that's where I had purchased the tires for my daughter's car. When I asked Costco the same question, they replied "no" in a very short manner. Consequently I called the Les Schwab and they were kind enough to refer me to Rim Pros. It's refreshing to see business who are willing to help the customer even if it doesn't benefit the business. This is the best Tire Shop in the Greater Sacramento Area as far as I am concerned. It is not a place to come in offering nickels and dimes for serious repair work, but that is because they offer a true 5 star service, and that is a real hard thing to come by these days... I have been into this location many times for various services. I have had tires mounted, alignments done, brakes changed out, flats repaired, all of it. I just had my rear brake rotors and calipers replaced today. I did not plan for it, so I did some waiting, but in the end I was happy to have the best guys on the job. Being in the service business myself, I can assure you that the guys who run this shop are professionals at what they do. As with any quality service, plan in advance if you can to leave your vehicle with the technician until the work is finished. This makes it a lot easier on the guys running the shop. Les Schwab of Rocklin has always been the one shop I can depend on, and they stand behind their work.
