Good morning good evening to all I own big hood of pools in Bakersfield and I've done business with Leslie's supply on Stockdale Highway, Rosedale Highway for over five .. this company five stars all the people that work for Leslie's supply in Bakersfield California are they do and when somebody gives a review that's not favorable there's always two sides to every story. The people that work for supply do their best to make sure that you're informed about what you need to maintain your pool and product that you should use and not use again I give this company a five star rating especially Stockdale location sample sometimes let them just do a test on it and let them direct you in a way that will help you out on a chemical that you need again this is Kurt with big kahuna chance and don't let a bad review or a negative response guide you away from their locations. They have buckets of knowledge just it on to you five stars today five stars tomorrow. read more

I usually have a nice experience when shopping here. However today I was "helped" by Daniel C. and he was literally yelling at me saying I was using the wrong kind of products for my pool. I then went to get the product he suggested and as I open the box he snatched it away and stated "we don't open these like that!" And then he went back to helping the customer at the counter that he stopped helping to come towards me to take the product away from me! I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. As I walked away I heard him yell at another customer saying "YOU'RE USING THE WRONG SHOCK!!!" There's a reason we come to Leslie's with our water samples. To get help from Leslie's and get educated nicely about what to use in our pools. Also, it would be helpful if you had your products available within reach for the customers and we didn't have to open any boxes so that the employees don't get angry we're trying to purchase the products that were specifically suggested for us to use! read more

I tried this store about 6-7 years ago. Was Very unhappy with their customer service. Tried them again last week hoping service may have improved, wrong! The older person that helped me there is rude, condescending, pompous! Never should have returned!! Will never be back! read more

My hubby came on 9.21.24 @5 Emily was the least helpful person you can imagine. When asked where something was she said over there and wouldn't come out from behind the counter to offer assistance. Very argumentative and does not need to be working with the public. Supported this store for over a decade but will be taking our business somewhere with friendly, more helpful staff read more

I went to Leslie's to pick up a new pool brush and extendable pole and they had exactly what I needed. Everything in the store is very well displayed. I was literally able to see where the items were within seconds of walking into the store. The one employee working there was really nice and was able to ring me up immediately. I try to avoid shopping at Amazon because they're not too helpful if you need a water test. I bought the stock, was happy till insiders started dumped at $30. read more

I don't have a swimming pool in my backyard, though my mom does. I accompanied her here to Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies in the Town & Country Shopping Center today not to get supplies for her pool, but for the new fountain that Monji installed in her front yard that was turning into a science experiment producing copious quantities of green algae. She was told by the experts at Monji to pick up some bromine to clear up the algae problem prompting a trip here. We had to wait while Jimmy, the sole visible employee in the store, was doing a free water analysis for the customer in front of us. If you bring in a soda bottle full of water from your pool, they will - for free - analyze it for you and tell you about your ph balance, chlorine levels, and what-not and then recommend products or treatment strategies for you. That has to be helpful for those people who have pools but are not sure how to analyze their own water or diagnose problems. He added several different chemicals to the water which made it turn various colors; it was an interesting process to watch. When it was our turn, my mom asked where to find the bromine. He asked her about what she needed it for and she told him about the fountains which consist of a serious of rock bowls which catch water that then trickles down to a layer of rocks. He advised us that there was a product which would actually work better and be easier to use. He told mom exactly how much to add to the water in the fountain and how often to recheck the levels. Jimmy was very customer service oriented. He could just have pointed her to the shelf with the bromine; instead he asked enough questions to determine which product we ACTUALLY needed, walked over to procure it for us, then gave us detailed instructions about how to use it and monitor the situation from here onward. Had to come to this location because the northwest location did not have the small part my husband needed for our swimming pool, directional jets. So needless to say we drove over here to get them because the young lady from the northwest store called and these guys had them. So when we came in my hubby was somewhat irritated and the gentleman behind the counter was so nice and friendly which seemed to turn my honeys mood into a somewhat better one!! And they had everything we needed yay!!! Pros: They had everything we needed, super friendly staff, nicely set up store, large parking lot and great shopping center. Cons: Not on our side of town, little pricy and there's a Starbucks within walking distance (my weakness) So if you need water testing or any pool or spa supplies this is your go to place. read more

Tried to buy a sweeper part at the Leslie's Hageman location. They didn't have it. Out of stock. So... no big deal... they sent us to the Stockdale location. Once at this location their internet was down. No debit cards. Then, by shear luck, we had checks and they accept checks, so we wrote a check. But the computer was down and couldn't read the check. I'm only leaving 3 Stars, because the employee was nice, was abandoned by someone above him, and he took the check like a gentlemen. The location is very nice. Parking lot can be super busy. Beware of rush hour. read more

The folks at Leslie's are so helpful. I feel like I have my own personal pool maintenance expert and guide: because I do. Since moving to Bakersfield a couple of months ago, we are brand new to pool ownership. We would have been lost without Leslie's. Thanks to Mimi's review, we knew we could take in a bottle of pool water for them to test for free. They tested about 300 billion factors of our pool water, even gearing us away from buying our own test kits (apparently those go bad very quickly,) and then helped us sort out our levels of... I don't know... pool stuff. They gave us very specific directions on what we needed, when we needed to do it, etc. We even got a printout with clear instructions, perfect for pool bozos like me that haven't got a clue what to do with all this "shocking" nonsense. Had to buy an overpriced above ground pool brush that wouldn't work with the pole that I have didn't even get to use so they would not return because the factory plastic seal around the brush had to be cut open. I would look on Amazon if you need pool parts alot on there are over $40 cheaper than Leslie's and they will accept returns their customer service is way better. read more

Called Leslie's needing a part to my Pentair CCP 320 filter. My tank clamp went bad and I was looking to a local place to buy it to get my pool up and running again. Called the Stockdale branch and was quoted over 300.00 dollars. Did my research and found the same part on Amazon and other pool supply company's for less then 150.00 dollars. Let's just say price gouging at its best. Wont be buying parts here again. The gentlemen on the phone told me to go ahead and buy it at Amazon then. So much for buying local. read more

Very helpful knowledge about all supply's and tools. If there is a problem with anything you buy they will fix it. If the pool sweep is broke they will tell you exactly what needs to be replaced. Will go back when I need pool supplies. read more

A little pricey on some items but helpful, nice and knowledgable employees. Clean store. Get on mailing list for specials.

If I could go lower I would place is terrible prices are ridiculous and the customer service is dreaful
