I've had an unexpected issue with a very pricey, normally well-preforming vacuum from Polaris. Error Code 10 came up with our first robot after using for just a month. Peggy helped in getting it repaired, then when the repair didn't work she got it replaced for me. After that one did the same thing she worked to get me another one. Then, after that one started erroring she went up to bat to get that one replaced. fingers crossed this one is still working. The take away is that Peggy cares for her customers and their happiness. Her level of customer service goes above and beyond! When I need to know anything about my newly built salt water pool, she is my go-to. If she doesn't know something she will find out for you; but to be honest there isn't much she doesn't know about the pool business. Peggy is the main reasons why I continue to go to Leslie's - many other people I know who own pools tell me they over charge. I was in desperate need of a Pentair part for my new pool and could not find one anywhere. I needed it that day or my new pool wouldn't function properly. Online showed two locations in a 150 miles that had one; this location in Rancho being one of them. I live in LB and realized this was a 2.5 hour round trip should I head there. After calling another two local pool stores who were charging $300 more for the same part, I gave this Rancho location a call. I was greeted by a WONDERFUL employee named Peggy who regrettably informed me she thinks that is an inventory mixup in the system, that the part was damaged, and she tried numerous times to have corporate remove from the system. BUT, as she always does (according to her), physically double checking whatever the system 'tells her'. She placed me on a brief hold to actually inspect the 'damaged' part and look for any additional ones. When she returned she had great news that they actually had a new part, unopened that I could purchase! I felt comfortable after her telling me she would hold the part so I could make the drive out there. I understand there's plenty of people holding up other sales with false narratives of "I'll be right there" that never show up. I arrived a couple hours later and the store was busy. I walked around for a minute and was quickly greeted by Peggy and Rigo on her team. Rigo immediately started asking about my pool startup and what equipment I knew I needed and him giving suggestions as to what he felt was the best automatic cleaners based on his experience as the mechanic and fixing broken ones in the store. No pressure sales; no up-sell ; and just great friendly customer service trying to help! Rigo made sure as a new pool owner I had the bare minimum for what was to come for the first important month of its functioning. I walked in expecting to pickup a part no one had, and left spending much more and planning when my business takes me to San Bernardino to just come and make this my 'local-not local' pool store. The Leslie's by my house are plentiful; yet the two different local locations I've visited multiple times didn't provide the depth of care, customer service, or insight that I received on my ONE trip to to the Rancho Leslie's. Do yourself a favor. Don't pay attention to the reviews that were clearly upset for whatever reason ; they're clearly trying to exact digital revenge when likely none was warranted to that degree. Don't even know where to start with this place. In the past when I've gone the younger kid has always been helpful however, the last few times I had the older tall gentlemen help me and he is very rude! He talks down on me almost as if It is a disgrace that I do not know how to do some "basic" pool things. Being the person I am I decided to give this place another try. I can't speak highly enough about Peggy and Kelley at this location. My husband and I are DIY owner/pool builders. Literally we knew nothing about the mechanics and chemistry of the pool system when we started. We went to Leslie's with and issue...we needed a start-up guy and our equipment wasn't programmed properly with our automation. So things didn't run as they should have. Long story short, not only did they point me in the right direction, but they followed up to confirm and even scheduled our appointments for us. In addition, they walked us through the process on keeping our pool chemically balanced and the importance of each chemical, what it does, why you need it and how to install in our pool. Ed was our start-up guy, he is awesome! He went above and beyond to assist us in getting our automation up and running. We wound up needing a tech to come out, but we would not have known that if he had not been so diligent in diagnosing the issue. He also took care of our start up chemically. At one point, we needed a tech to come out, Rolando came, very professional, diagnosed the problem, knew the fix and immediately took care of it. He also answered the questions I had, fine tuned our automation and gave me pointers on keeping our system operating optimally. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND all of them!! I've heard that Leslie's is a bit higher price-wise on some items. But honestly, I wouldn't know because this is the only place I'm going to for my pool related concerns. Great Customer service! Knowledgeable in inground and above ground pools. Will walk you through your pool troubles to figure out a solution. Called to check on item and was not in stock. Offered to take down phone number and call me back when it came in. Manager received item same day, called me back and actually held the item till I arrived an hour later. Staff to Managment is well trained and happy to help. Even the staff members that were receiving in a shipment were eager to help with customers needs. She was assisting another customer at the time, but assured me that she would be right with me. I was impressed by Cyerra's level of knowledge and ability to answer all of my questions. Poor Customer Service!! Better off ordering pool supplies thru Amazon. I walked into the store during my lunch to get a container of SeaKlear Organic Stain Remover. After my fruitless search through their shelves, I ended up walking to the customer purchase line to ask for the product. I was the only customer in line with one customer in the middle of her purchase with the middle-aged female cashier. I noticed at least 3 other employees in the surrounding area. The customer finished up her transaction and proceeded to exit the store. As I proceeded to the counter in front of the cashier, the casher turned around and walked away towards the rear of the store...without saying a word! I waited about 30 seconds and another worker (young gal) walked into the area in front of me where the previous cashier was)..I had hopes of finally being helped and was in shock as she arrived only to use the stapler on the counter and walked away!! Ka-chunk!! I came to the conclusion that my "Invisible Hispanic" settings was too high and walked out of the store! LOL! Never again! read more

I hate writing a bad review about a business I have been using for several years. Lately, this place has gone off the deep end. There seems to be only one knowledgable person working here and that's Manny. The company needs to do a better job at hiring and training their staff. I recently called to ask a question about draining my pool. I was put on hold numerous times and disconnected twice. After speaking to someone and explaining my situation, her response was to just try it again. I went in to exchange my liquid chlorine and they were completely out of stock. This has been going on for over a month now. Today I went in to get my water tested and with 4 people working there, not one could help. I just left. This is starting to look like a toxic relationship as I don't know how many more chances i can give this place. read more

I recently built a pool in my backyard therefore you can tell I'm completely new to everything. First of all if I could give this place zero stars I would. employee by the name of Manny is impolite and rude. From the moment I walked in the store and told him I had lots of questions his attitude went downhill as if he did not want to deal with me. After I asked him a few questions he gave me short quick responses which did not really help much. To avoid any headaches I just said thank you and left afterwards. This review is long over due!  We contracted Leslie's to turn our pool into salt water and upgrade our system.  Where do I begin in saying how thankful we are to Peggy and Kelly.  They went above and beyond in getting the equipment in a timely manner.  We contacted a few contractors that told us pool equipment was backed up due to the pandemic and could not start on a project of our size for at least 6-7 months.  We'll thanks to Peggy and Kelly, who looked high and low and found everything we needed.  Our renovation was in process in no time.  Everything turned out great, but the day before our house warming party, our pool just shut down!  Not only was the party the next day but it was in the middle of August and the weather was 100+.  We contacted customer service, and they told us they couldn't get anyone out to us for at least a week.  A week with sitting water in the heat!!! No thank you!!! Called Peggy and Kelly at Leslie's and they assured us, someone would be out in the morning!  Thanks to Peggy, Kelly and the technician who came out the very next morning bright and early our pool was up and running and our party was in full affect.  I'm glad we decided to go with Leslie's because even on their days off, they were willing to help us!  Talk about AMAZING customer service.  We will definitely continue to go to this Leslie's for anything pool related.  Thank you to everyone at Leslie's in Rancho Cucamonga, but especially thank you to Peggy and Kelly for having some of the best customer service we have ever encountered . read more

Moved into a house up the street about a year ago and I have never owned a pool before that. I started off by going to another pool store and decided to give Leslies a try since it was so close. And WOW what a difference! The 2 guys there Mike and Diego have always been very helpful and friendly. They have always explained everything in a way I can understand and have helped me troubleshoot everything. From cleaning my filter for the first time to balancing my water. Great service. Updated review: used to love coming here and dealing with The other guys. However the new taller skinny gentleman Manny is very pushy! Feels like I'm dealing with a car salesman, I stopped shopping at the store in carnelian because they were rude and stopped going to the one off riverside because they were pushy as well. This man tried to sell me 200$ worth of chemicals when was only looking for a couple of bags of shock to kill light algae!!!! Incompetent business operations and abysmal customer service. The worst specialized services company I've ever personally interacted with. I had a pool heater that hasn't been working in some time and is throwing an ignition fault code. The first tech Leslie's sent at least claimed to have found the problem (he claimed it was connections needing to be replaced) and that they'd be able to fix it as soon as parts came in. The 2nd tech had no clue what the purpose of the service call even was. He clearly hadn't read the previous notes, or been given any info by whoever dispatched him. He literally asked ME to tell him what he was doing there. After explaining the issues.. again.. He says it isn't the connections, but the blower must be bad.. another part needed.. which Leslie's claimed needed to be ordered. 2 weeks later, Leslie's finally calls to schedule the 2nd follow-up service call.. in another 2 weeks. Third tech came out, several hours late, and after telling me she'd just come from the store to purchase the parts she needed.. thus making it known that I was lied to, and making me wait 4 more weeks was unnecessary... on top of that, they said it wasn't the connections, or the blower, but the ignition.. like I told them from the outset. So, after trying to work with Leslie's for 2 months, and wasting hundreds of dollars.. I'm just done. At this point, I wouldn't use Leslie's services again if they paid ME. read more

I absolutely love this store and the staff. Everytime I go in I'm greeted with a smile and am provided with excellent service! I had a vacuum that was defective and broke soon after I bought it. Peggy told me to bring it in and that if they couldn't fix it they would return it to the manufacturer for me under warranty. Which she didn't have to do for me at all. She could've told me to contact the manufacturer myself. Once the manufacturer took too long to get back to them, peggy called me and said she had a vacuum come in and that her manager Manny told her it was okay for her to call me and give it to me as a replacement for my broken one. If I could give a Zero I would. We scheduled two appts. for a quote they were no shows for both and showed up on another day with NO NOTICE. THIS WAS THE MANAGER AARON. Then they ordered the pump and it was the wrong one. They tried to tell us it would be $3000 more because Pentair made a mistake. Then when we finally got them to lower the cost, they came 3 different times to install the pump. They had something that was wrong with them every time! My pool heater hasn't worked for over a year, I have had Leslie's pool repair service out 5 times in the last 12 months. Each time they come out to "fix" the heater. Each tech says it's a different problem, they have to order parts, they leave and never come back. I have spoken to multiple supervisors at Leslie's pool repair, the lastest supervisor Danny Maddox was rude, arrogant and condescending. My pool heater still is not fixed, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. Leslie's pool repair service is a headache, and not worth wasting your time with. read more
