Writing about Leslie's Pool on 19th St, Rancho Cucamonga. I called the store when my pool pump started to have problems to get a number for their service tech. I was fully prepared to pay for repair services, but "Jeff" on the phone at the store went over the possible problems with my pool, and I ended up fixing it myself by doing what he suggested on the phone! A time before that, I brought in my pool cleaning robot when it stopped working. I went to pick it up later and was told it was just full of dirt, which they cleaned out. Since no parts were needed, it was FREE! Highly recommend Leslie's Pool for their helpful and honest staff. read more

If I could give a negative star rating on this I would give -10 I was just hung up on by manager Peggy when I called to check on the parts for my filter I went in two weeks ago. In the two week time period I have been waiting to hear back, I never received a follow up call from her or the store letting me know the status. When I first walked in she told me another store had the parts and it would be a inter-store transfer. She tried to brush me off by having me look for the parts myself by accessing the Leslie's on-line spare parts web site. She became upset when I pointed out her lack of customer follow up and for the fact that I was not being helped, and mind you I gave her two weeks. To make a long story short she will be receiving a call from the district manger. I just so happen to know the contractor that works on remodeling of each of the Leslie's store locations and what she did to me by hanging up was not right. I was only pointing out her faults and deficiency. If you are looking for someone to test your pool water for free, then Peggy is your gal, but if you really need help with pool parts please take your business to one of the other stores. After being hung up on I call one of the other stores and was dealt with in a professional manner and I will be dropping by in the next day or so to pick up the parts. read more

First of all , I want to thank Christina, Kyle, Devin and Peggy for getting my pool from cloudy green to crystal pool. I don't know anything about the maintenance of an in ground pool. It was towards the end of June, when I started to get my pool water analyzed. My first encounter was Christina. She did a manual testing and she told me what chemicals I needed to start the process in getting my pool blue again. I had Christina write down which product goes in the pool first. How long do I wait until the next product goes in. Do I pour the chemical around the pool or does it go somewhere else? Does the filter have to be running while I'm pouring the product. Christina was very patient with me. She answered my questions intelligently. Every weekend I went in to get my water tested. That's how I met the rest of the staff mentioned above. All of them were patient and knowledgeable. On July 4th, my pool was crystal blue My brother was impressed on how blue the water was. We can actually see the bottom of the pool, how blue it is. I still get my water tested every weekend to maintain the chemicals on the pool properly. Now, my 6 year old goddaughter/niece can go swimming in a clean and crystal blue pool. I wish I could give this store no stars. Never have I ever been ignored and discriminated at a store in my life until today. Two mature ladies did not even help me when I asked for help and as soon as I got in line to pay they acted like they did not see me, however as soon as two "white" men came in they went straight to help them with all their needs. 5 stars only for Mike the manager of this location. His knowledge and expertise saved us over $1000. We paid for a technician to come look at our pool pump. The technician advised us to buy a new pump which costs over $1000. We called Mike to pick his brain and ask more questions. He recommended we replace the capacitor. Sure enough it was the capacitor which cost us under $100. Definitely would come back to this location for the excellent service and knowledge. read more

I can't speak for all Leslie's but I am beyond happy with the one I use (19th and Carnelian, Alta Loma), especially with their in-house repair guy, Mike. An example: The pressure gauge in the lid of my filter broke off. There was a plastic piece still stuck inside the lid that I couldn't get out. I took it to Leslie's. Given the way it was broken, Mike couldn't get it out either without possibly damaging the lid. Instead of just saying "sorry," MIKE TOOK THE LID HOME TO WORK ON. He called the next day to tell me he'd figured out a way to do it and had put in a new gauge. When I went in to pick it up and looked at the receipt, HE HADN'T EVEN CHARGED ME FOR LABOR, just for the new gauge. That's service way above and beyond -- and why I will always choose them. read more

Went to this store today and was helped by Peggy. With two black labs who live in the pool and the summer heat, our pool is a challenge to keep up! She is super nice and has tons of info to help with our pool! Great selection of items, great quality at a fair price. She even helped me out to the car with my purchases. Thank you Peggy! Mike was very helpful. I knew nothing about pools and he took the time to help me with my needs and suggest ways to become more energy and gas efficient. While I was there another customer came in and ask specifically for mike. Mike not only remembered to customer but knew exactly what he needed and the size without looking up resources. My spa motor was not working and I scheduled through Leslie's Pool Service a technician to come out to repair. I also scheduled a 1 hour pool school session as I was new to owning a pool and I couldn't get my equipment to work correctly. Leslie told me they would send someone for the school and motor on a Monday between noon and 5:00PM. At 5 PM on Monday I called Leslie's to inquire where my repair person was and they said their technician had gone home sick. I received no phone call or communication of any kind alerting me to the fact that I didn't have to wait around or half a day. Against my better judgement I rescheduled the service appointment for the following Tuesday between noon and 5:00 PM. This time the Leslie employee, Brian, showed up but he told me he was only there to do the pool school. His paperwork didn't say anything about repairing the motor. He wrote up a work order for the spa motor repair and charged me for the pool school, which was really useless since the equipment wasn't working properly. He told me to take the work order to the local Leslie Pool Supply in Rancho Cucamonga. Desperate to get my spa fixed to took the work order to the store. They set up an appointment again for me for Friday between noon and 5:00 PM. I must be an idiot because I took off work for the 3rd time and sat around waiting the the tech to arrive to fix the motor. At 4:45 I called the service department and immediately started getting a huge cock & bull story about how they changed the appointment to Monday and that they were sorry no one called and informed me. The customer service operator was apologizing and telling me that they couldn't do the repair on Friday because it had to be Brian, the pool school tech, who had to do it and he wasn't available. This bulls--t she was giving me was completely contrary to what the guy at the store was telling me. He even asked me if I had a favorite tech that I wanted for the job. So now I had taken off 3 half days of work to not have anything accomplished with this company. I told the girl service operator that either Leslie was going to make this right or I was going to write a scathing review on Yelp to alert people to what a terrible company Leslie's service department was. She told me that I could leave a message with a service manager but there was no one available for me to speak with. I told her to cancel the next Monday appointment and that I would find someone more reliable to help me. You'd have to be a moron to enlist any service from Leslie's Pool Service. They are completely unreliable and unresponsive. Hard to imagine that they can even stay in business. They seen my last penny. read more

First guy to ever help me here... Did help when my pool turned a tiny bit green... However I told them my ph was low and he told me it was fine.... Next guy was rude, unhelpful and had the personality of a mop... He too told me my water was fine... (I couldn't get it to register chlorine even though I was adding a ton and I test my water daily and knew it was low, but as a new pool owner I didn't know what to do) soooo I took it to a different pool store who told me my ph was so low my water was almost pure acid and the ton of chlorine Leslie's was telling me to add was getting eaten away.... Leslie's on Baseline in Rancho has THE BEST customer service. The guys there are so helpful with all of my questions. I purchased a home with a pool about two years ago and the staff at Leslie's helped me figure out how to keep it clean and maintained. I've been to some other Leslie's stores and they weren't even close when it comes to customer service. read more

Signed me up for pool school making me believe they would show me how to use the equipment after telling them I just bought a house w a pool and don't know what I'm doing. This tech showed up and said he doesn't do spas and doesn't do chemicals after being told this by store associate this was what they would teach me. Wasted my time and theirs and took $115 no problem!!! Do not sign up for this. It was all a sales pitch for which they want $85 more to install new pool equipment read more

Where else can you go for pool floats during Fall? Leslie has a good selection of floats. They are very cheaply made (I think all of these things are made in China). Two of them broke the first day we used them... Not sure if returnable. read more

I go to this store often, but today I feel the need to explain just how great this place is. I have had a tough time getting the chemicals right in our above ground spa. Every time I've gone to this store, Joseph has helped with me with my struggles. This guy knows his stuff and never makes me feel dumb! That's important to me! LOL! If you need assistance, or just basic help, he's a great guy! There's a pool supply store right next to my house, but I drive a little further because of the customer service here. The guys at this store are simply awesome. Always friendly, always helpful, and very personable too. I love that this place does free water testing so I don't always have to buy something to get my water tested, but whether I buy something or not they are ALWAYS super nice. I also called them needing the name of a resurfacing company they could recommend, and they gave me the name of a great company I was quite happy with. Had a little trouble with service but after the manager got involved they are taking care of business.

Very bad experience at this store. To elaborate, I had a service tech from this company come over my house today to assess my pool filter. Great guy, very professional and he suggested replacing it, which I agreed to. This includes pool filter, backwash valve and all the cartridges. He called his boss a couple of times to get approval on pricing and everything was great. He quoted me $1202 and had clearly indicated all the items we agreed to. He suggested that I go to the local store here in Rancho Cucamonga to make my payment so that he can get this installed this Saturday. This is where the trouble began. I walked into the store with my invoice to make the payment and this guy whose name is Diego doesn't even welcome me to the store and does not even ask me "how can I help you". I walked up to him and said I want to pay an invoice for a pool filter. I noticed that the paper he had showed $1309 and I told him that I was not going to pay that, but willing to pay the $1202. He goes on a rant saying that no one can quote prices except the store. So I told him to contact his supervisor which he eventually did with much reluctance to be amazed that the $1202 price was approved. Then turns around to me in an annoyed tone saying "this is the only time we will do this and next time we will charge you the higher price". Think about it, how many times will I be getting a pool filter. At this point I was livid and said that I will report him to his manager and company. He said "go ahead and I will even give you my employee number", which he never did. I wish the owner of this store sees this review and takes proper action i.e. teach this employee customer service skills or replace him with someone else read more
