I just wanted to take a moment to leave this positive review for this Leslie's location. We inherited an old pool system and knew nothing about pools so I reached out to the store. Skyler at the store was super helpful and knowledgeable without ever feeling like he was pressuring me to buy anything. After a few weeks of pool maintenance, we ended up choosing to replace our old dying pump and Priest did a great job helping us find one that would work with our pool size without trying to upsale or sell us a pump that was out of our price range or unneeded. The actual service guys were amazing as well! On our first service call (pre new pump) Mark was so great at explaining the system to a first timer and helped us do maintenance on what we had... and then when we actually got the new pump he helped install and explain the new equipment (thanks Cody too for the installation). Later, when a minor issue arose after the installation (that wasn't there initially but was because installing the new pump fixed that area and then put pressure on another area) he was super quick to follow up and work with us to make sure our system was at 100%. My review is for the staff, and particularly the manager, Robert, who have all been outstanding. Like many, my pool was not swim-ready a few weeks ago. My pool is above ground. I drained it to start the season but had a bad case of green algae. I visited Robert a few weeks ago for a water test. He immediately suggested a course of action without any high pressure sales. In fact, my PH was high and rather than buying chemicals to reduce it, he suggested just draining 1/4 of the water to save money. I followed the plan and my water started to clear but not as fast as I wanted. He suggested Clear Aid, and must have sensed my frustration (not at him, just the whole process of getting the water to clear up) and he gave me the bottle free. I used it and followed his steps and my water is looking great. Right now I have dead algae on the bottom that I'm working to vacuum out and even now he's told me no need to spend money on balancing the hardness or alkalinity just yet. Just focus on getting the algae out, come back in a week, test again and then worry about balancing the rest. I appreciate that Robert takes the time to patiently answer all my questions and doesn't try to hard sell all kinds of chemicals. He offer different options and allows the customer to choose what they want. I so appreciate this. I highly recommend working with Robert and his staff to get your pool ready for summer! read more

Been coming here for years. Stopped in today to get my pool sweep repaired and was greeted very warmly at the door by a gentleman name Robert. I explained what was happening and he jumped right on the repair, explaining everything as he went along. While waiting we chatted about pool pump motors and different size requirements for all types of pools. The thing I appreciate most was that Robert didn't try to up-sale me to the newer model and didn't try to gouge me on the repairs. Will definitely keep coming back. read more

Zabrina was incredibly thorough in confirming that we were talking about the same cartridge by cross- referencing from two different numbers I had to their house brand. Although out of stock at the moment, she was willing to call all of the other stores in the area showing it in stock, to confirm availability before I took off, in order to save me any unnecessary trips. This place is never too busy and the staff is knowledgeable about pools and pool care. Adam and Wasi are awesome. Wasi helped me with the shock treatment and Adam went above and beyond (as per usual) and Ashley wrote out the ingredients I would need to get my pool to where I want it to be. Keep in mind when he's writing down what I need for my pool he is going off of what I purchase last time. Without looking anything up in the computer or using anything for a reference Adam was able to identify me, understand my needs, and instruct me on exactly what to do. I am super impressed with his customer service. The guy knows water not so much just pool stuff. Does that make sense? Like Adam's knowledge obviously goes deeper than add this, add that... he was able to explain the science behind why my pool is green and I actually understood it!!! Now owned by a China based investment company. Leslies is nothing like what it used to be. It's all about the numbers. Every store is understaffed. Their Jacuzzi brand is trash. Even the stores display model pump is squealing. Ask any of their techs and they'll tell you the Jacuzzi pumps, filters, heaters, and salt systems are junk. Warranty calls all day long. I expect leslies to quickly ruin any remaining reputation they have and close shop. This is not a local company but a nationwide company ripping their customers off any way they can. I've spent too many hard earned dollars at these stores for terrible results. I can't explain how frustrated I am. Never again will I step foot in a leslies store. read more

I can comfortably say they've earned this rating. The few times I've gone in , the service I've received was good and the people friendly. But today this location lost my business. In May I took my pool sweep in for the routine recommended maintenance. The hose had a couple small holes and I wanted to make sure everything else was working well for the coming season. It was the first time I'd had it serviced in the 2+ years since I bought it. They promised it back to me in 4 days - peak season and all. It was a week and half later when it was ready and I was the one who had to call to get the updates. They missed both promised dates they themselves set; just bad customer service. Here we are in September and the hose is leaking already. I called and the woman, who was the same woman I spoke to in May, explained there is no warranty on the hose. If it had been within 30-days, they might take pity on me, but not 4 or 5 months. I guess if I used poor quality parts, I wouldn't provide a warranty or stand behind the product either; how disappointing. I would have expected the hose to at least make it through the season and definitely expected them to be apologetic, but I guess I was getting setting my hopes too high and should have learned from the last time I dealt with them. Shame on me for giving them this second chance at providing customer service. I've learned my lesson now. read more

But Robert took the time to test my water and go over each and every detail about my water and what I needed to do to get it back to normal. My pool had been swamp green for six months until shortly after a recent visit to this store. After a simple water test, which they do as a complimentary service, the guy Richard explained what was going on with my water and what it needed. When I had further questions about how to get the results i wanted, the quickest he refered me to the manager Adan, who explained not only what products i needed and why but how to use them as well. I wasn't only impressed by my pool going from shreks homeland to crystal clear in a matter of days but also by the atmosphere while I was in the store. Even though there were several people waiting to have their water tested and a short wait to be rang up, Adan kept the line moving and smiles on everyone's faces. I never wait long in the store, they answer questions in person and over the phone, do not over prescribe stuff you don't need. Also are very willing to accomodate my work schedule in terms of taking water samples, they've tested our water 4X in the past couple weeks - giving us detailed results & interpretations, and telling us what to do next. In draining my pool and starting it back up, I have made 4 trips to Leslie's over the past 15 days. The first time, they were out of filters for a Sta-Rite System 3, the second time they were out of 'O' rings for the Sta-Rite System 3 filter. The 3rd time there, I did get what I wanted, and the 4th time there, they did not even have any water bottles so I could bring them a sample! But of course, this was better than the last time I was working on my pool. I went there to pick up something they were out of again and obtained from another store for me, but when I arrived about 1:15 p.m., the door was locked and nobody was there. I don't understand these reviews. Almost everybody I have met there is a 'nice guy', but they are just 'out' of everything. read more

I give these guys 4 stars for helping me with chemical issues with my pool. However I give them 1 star for selling me the completely wrong pool sweep for my square pool and reccomened a different sweep. My pool repair guy told me that the sweep I had purchased was wrong for the pool (I hadn't taken it out of the box yet). I took it back and the person who sold me the sweep assured me that in his opinion the sweep he had recommended would work well. After six months of watching my sweep get stuck in the same two corners of my pool I am now purchasing the sweep the pool repairman recommended. A little research online confirms that I made a bad choice. The lesson learned here is always go with the guy who has seen your pool. I have mixed feelings writing this review since these guys ha e helped me before and I don't think they intentionally sold me the wrong sweep, they were just very wrong on this occasion. read more
