Went here for a coffee meet-up. I've been off coffee for a week and so I had a decaf. The coffee was so good. They had a wide variety of breads, pastry's and sandwiches. I really want to try the Iced Levain Cookie Milk Latte next time.

After a tasty Chinese food dinner, my cousin took us here for a sweet treat post-dinner for dessert! I've been to this bakery before in NYC and it never disappoints! I'm glad that they have a location here on the West coast. We each ordered different cookies since there were 3 of us and we wanted to taste the different flavors. I got the Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, my friend got the Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip cookie, and my cousin got the Caramel Coconut Chocolate Chip cookie. My favorite part about Levain's cookies is that they give them to you at a warm/hot temperate so the cookie is a bit crunchy on the outside and super soft and gooey on the inside! We ended up taking our cookies home and warmed it up a bit more to make them more soft and chewy. Levain cookies are always a satisfying sweet treat!

Its nice to go at night when most shops are closing except for ice cream stores. Chill staff and some of the cookies were still slightly warm though a bit on the harder side. Decadent cookie, if you get a darker version not too sweet

Perfect double chip chocolate chip cookie! I get why these cookies are so hyped up- perfectly gooey in the middle, not all the way fully baked in the middle, the chocolate chips were melty - I know people do "cheese pulls" but you can honestly do "chocolate pulls" with these cookies. Excited to try my rocky road cookie tonight.

Levain Bakery (pronounced as luh-ven), are, as they claim: New York City's Most Famous Cookies. This bakery is the brainchild of Pam & Connie. Calling these cookies a life-changing event would be a bit of an understatement. They are six-ounce cookies that are thick, flavorful and with the right amount of chewiness. This location in Larchmont Village in particular is great, with a great staff, a diverse variety of cookies and even extras that you can buy. I tried the Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie and the Raspberry Pistachio one. Both were warm, gooey, soft and delicious. Very recommended. 10/10.

Great vibes and friendly people. As far as actual cookies go, I got the Walnut Chocolate Chip and Rocky Road. I know Levain pioneered undercooked cookies. Personally, I don't like that style, I was hoping the original would change that for me! Long story short, I didn't like the Walnut Chocolate Chip. I personally just don't like that style still, so I'll chalk it up as a "me" problem. The cooked part was good. The Rocky Road was cooked through. It was an amazing baked good with good flavor and add-ins. Between the roasted almond slices and fudgey chocolate chips, I was enjoying it immensely. A highlight of my day for sure. If you love underbaked cookies, Levain is your cookie shop! I don't and they had something for me too!

The Venice outlet used to be my go-to, but since I moved the Larchmont one was more accessible. Parking's always tricky and might require bit of extra walk when not available. It's relatively busy but the line moved swiftly. The Larchmont store was pretty lively with the crowded and colorful wall deco! It's pretty fun to see that they came up with more seasonal items lately and most of them nailed it well when they came to cookies. Previously the lemon one and the most recent was the Raspberry Pistachio which I was impressed by as I just fancied sweet and refreshing combo of white chocolate and raspberry. The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. The Cookie Milk Latte was actually the main reason bringing me here, yet I was bit let down by it as I was expecting more malty cookie flavor in the drink. I felt it tasted not much different to regular cream top latte with some cookie crumbles in it.

One of the best cookies around. A monster cookie. Various flavors to choose from. Bread, coffee, and sandwiches are also sold here. Although there is always a line service is always quick. Employees are very helpful too if you can't make up your mind. Plenty of parking on Larchmont.

I stopped by Levain Bakery on a Saturday morning, and while finding street parking can be a bit of a challenge. Here's a helpful tip: The bank next door allows 10 minutes of parking if you use their ATM and keep your receipt. There is security in the lot, so be sure to have your receipt as proof of the time. It's more than enough time to run next door and grab your treats. I ordered a slice of the lemon loaf, a gluten-free cookie, and the classic chocolate chip cookie. The lemon loaf slice is huge, I'd say it's the equivalent of two slices, so it's definitely big enough to share. As for the cookies, Levain is known for making them thick and rich. A small piece goes a long way, making them perfect for savoring over a couple of days (if you have that much self-control!). The moment you walk inside, you're greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked pastries, and the service was warm and welcoming. I truly think everyone should experience a Levain cookie or pastry at least once. It's worth the visit!

Levain Bakery has the best cookies in LA! My go to is the walnut chocolate shop cookie. They now have the option for vanilla ice cream with a cookie, and it was the perfect dessert. Gooey, buttery cookie with great texture. The staff is friendly and smells inside the shop are amazing. I know they started in NY but until I find a better cookie, Levain is the best for cookies in LA!

Can you ever go wrong with Levain? Don't answer, it's rhetorical. My brother dropped by with a surprise box of cookies which made my day. Honestly one of the best cookies in town and always so consistent with quality and taste. I try to bake at home but can never get it down like levain. You are not living life if you never had a levain cookie

Love the cookies here however, the Mother's Day special cookie tin for $17? No cookies just the tin. Congratulations. You bought an empty metal container. Lucky that I asked, the customer next to me also asked. We agreed that they should change the sign and make it more clear..no cookies just the empty tin. The girl that were helping me, look tired when she answered, just a tin no cookies. Poor her. Must have been giving the same answered for the 47th times today. .

If you're looking for a good chocolate chip cookie look no further. This place is amazing! Right when you open the door the fresh smell of the cookies is INTENSE and very fragrant. The cookies are large and thick and filled with a LOT of chocolate chips. The service was top notch, quick and easy. We ended up getting the two chip chocolate chip (love the name) and the dark chocolate chocolate chip but they have a ton of other flavors. Will definitely be coming back to taste the others that they have! Side notes: the packaging is so cute and aesthetic and did someone say free postcard?

Do I have to buy a certain amount of cookies so It can be in a box for a thank you gift?

No, the tin box is purchased separately; therefore you can purchase any # of cookies you want.

    Do they have kosher pastries?

This is on their website's FAQ. Ultimately I think it depends on what kind of hechsher you look for. If kosher ingredients are good enough for you then you should be able to eat there.…

    Do they have gluten-free items?

Yes, they have a vegan gluten-free cookie.

Any options for people with nut allergies?

The ice cream also had a buttery taste to it. It might have been from the toast, but I'm not too sure. The bread itself wasn't oily, which was nice, but it was kind of dry. The pandan sauce definitely helped make it easier to eat. I probably wouldn't eat the bread by itself though because it was super hard and didn't really have much flavor.
