Came in for an event with a group I belong to. They set us up with a private area in the bar which was great. The drinks were very pricy and so so in taste. There is a great view of sunset from the back bar with huge windows! The games were very interesting but the rules weren't always clear. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait to get into most of the rooms which wasn't too bad but if it was busier I think that could be annoying. Overall fun but expensive. read more

I've only been once to Level 99 and I loved it. I need to go back because it was so fun. I get pretty bored with escape style rooms quickly, but Level 99 has something for everyone, and they blend mental and physical challenges, along with really cool theming, to keep people interested and engaged. I'm really glad this came to the Providence Place Mall - I feel it really livened it up! I also dined at Nightshift Brewing, which is inside Level 99. I've been there 3 times and two of the three times, loved the food. They change their menu seasonally and I'm just not a fan of the options for summer. However, the fall/winter menu is delicious and has a killer french dip sandwhich that I dream about. At this most recent visit, I had the popcorn which is always great, and the detriot style pizza. It was fine, but to be fair, I don't really enjoy detroit style pizza to begin with. There just weren't any options that I was excited about so that's what I landed on. The tap list is good, and they have a combination of their own branded beer and some from other breweries. While they don't do flights per se, you can get small pours and pay individually. I typically do this as I love trying all the options. I enjoyed the majority of the beer, and I picked mostly their brewed beer. Later in the evening, after the game play was over, we ordered some cocktails. I can't remember the name of the cocktail, but it was delicious and super instagrammable. Celebrated my 40th birthday, and my first time, at Level 99 in Providence. We had an absolute blast! We had food and drinks, all delicious. Occasionally, the drinks took a little while to come out, but it was a Friday night and they were busy and for that, I'd say it really wasn't a bad wait at all. The way this place is set up, is there are different rooms, with a game or puzzle inside. You scan your bracelet and if there are already people inside, it gives you the wait time. Typically most games are played in less than 5 minutes, so you aren't waiting long. There's a variety of game types, so if you're with a group, everyone's different strengths will come in handy! Pro tip: wear comfy clothes and shoes! Some games are physical and you may be moving around a lot! We played so many of the games, but definitely not all of them. I loved the variety, and that you can play with groups. This is such a fun place, and something different other than just going out for dinner. I came here with a large group and we were accommodated very well. The food is on the pricier side but portion sizes were big. I got the figgy pizza and it was delicious! Perfect mix of sweet and salty. I tried the roni roni pizza and it was good too. Both pizzas were more crust than cheese or sauce though, doesn't compare to Chicago deep dish. One of my friends got a quinoa salad and thought it had much more toppings than quinoa and greens. It took a while to be served. The entertainment was interesting. I had seen them advertise heavily a few months ago, when they first opened at the Providence Place Mall. I really did not know what to expect, so I went in recently to get a taste of this entertainment complex. As I walked in, there were several staff members greeting me, asking if I had any questions. The concept if of a social gaming playground featuring over 50 real-world physical and mental challenges and games, craft drinks, and elevated dining. There are some Rooms with Themed Challenges where teams of 2-6 people work together to test each one's body and mind skills. The team has a room to play, but only 1-4 minutes to complete each challenge. They also have Duels settings, where Player - vs - Player face off against each other in a variety of competitions. The staff were very friendly upon entering the only downside is this place is located in The Providence Place Mall and parking can be tricky. We drove to the top floor and made sure no other events were happening in Providence that weekend. I wore jeans and honestly would recommend athletic wear for the various activities. They have a nice selection of games ranging from very physical to more mental challenges for those who don't want to work out the whole time. They have a bar section with food like pizza and wings. Tip- check the info on how to play on the screen outside the room and before each experience. lockers are free, just find one open and follow the simple instructions on the wall. We are at the NightShift Kitchen after. Shirley temples, tea and lemonade are not free refills but soda are. It's restaurant week so two drinks and a pizza for $25. Pizza is just ok. We had the roni, roni, roni. Thick crust, very little sauce. If we ordered again, we would go with something a little different like the goat cheese and fig. We ordered the noodles. We asked for the appetizer but the waitress recommended the dish with chicken. We would not get that again. The Shirley temples were different- pink and no cherries. So what was great? The chicken dippers- more than one sauce costs $.75 extra. The hot chicken sandwich and truffle burger both with fries were the best. We also ordered nachos- we'd give them a solid 7-8 of 10. Our bill was $122 pre tip. So, for a family of 5 we spent over $350 between food and entertainment for about 3 1/2 hours (making our fun time clocking in at about $100/hr) We will be back for sure. read more

Excellent fun to be had at Level 99! Level 99 is a refreshing take on arcades and game rooms. The games are designed to be self contained and many are meant to played with together with groups of people, not just one on one or solo. There's a variety of games and rooms, from twister-esque room to a climb-and-push buttons room. There's also smaller one on one games. My group of 6 really enjoyed the collaborative aspect of many of the games that Level 99 had to offer (the CCTV game was a favorite!). And there are so many! We got through maybe 50% in the two hours we were there, and a few of them we played a few times since they were so fun. It's about $35 for two hours, so it's not cheap, but I appreciated the creativity of the games and also the ability to win points and trade them in for prizes. The wristband and tap process to check into games is also seamless. Definitely going to come back for some more fun! read more

I came here on a weekday for a networking event hosted by the RI Providence Foundation - it was my first time visiting a Level 99 location. I loved it! They had different areas great for group networking / activities. I tried the Detroit style Roni pizza and the mushroom pizza and they were both delicious! Sooo filling! I also tried the Blackberry Bourbon Bramble and Uber Pool. I enjoyed them both - very tasty but not sure strong. I didn't play the games on this visit but I enjoyed waking around to look at the art work! In terms of parking, drive all the way to the top of the Providence mall parking deck for the easiest task. We were very excited when we heard about level 99 moving into the Providence place mall. After loving a visit to boda Borg and hearing the comparisons we were all in. We went first thing when they opened on a weekend morning for two hours and had a blast. We locked our phones up in the (complimentary!) lockers so I have no photos but we were way too busy to take pictures anyway. We could have probably stayed all day (which is an option!). The space is split up into a bunch of small rooms. Each one has an objective but it doesn't tell you what it is so you have to figure it out. Several times we walked in and immediately lost, but it would usually give some feedback and we would hop back in to try again! Each room is quick (no more than 5 mins) and it gives you some warning if it's mental, physical or skill based before you go in. Then you can get up to three stars depending on how well you achieve the goals. Even with two hours we didn't hit every room so we will definitely be back. There are also some 1-1 challenges if you want to compete directly against your friends instead of working cooperatively. The rooms are all tracked via a personalized wristband which was pretty cool. My only critique is I wish you could go to your online profile and review your achievements once you are back at home. We definitely recommend going early as we could tell it was filling up as we left. We will be back to hit up the rooms we missed! read more

While attempting to swing the rope from one ledge to the other, my nail broke from the nail bed entirely. It wasn't level 99 fault. I went to ask for a band aid. It took awhile to find an employee to help. When I told the guy, he went to find another employee. I had to sit down because things started getting dark. Then there was two people checking in on me, asking about my wound. They did bring me a bandaid, I asked for an extra bandaid to give it some pressure. I appreciated the support. The lady offered me an extra half hour of game time but I wasn't feeling well to stick around more. So we left early. The rooms were cool though. I would go back. read more

Came here with my partner and it was both our first times. I've been to similar activity/game room type places before and thought I knew what I was getting into. But Level 99 is actually on a completely different level than places like Activate Games. There are literally so many rooms here, that even with 2 hours, we were unable to do them all. There are also just so many different types of games, with physical rooms and mental games. You also have some where you need communication and cooperation between the party. We were able to walk in and sign up on the spot. I'm not sure if it's busier on the weekends, but we came on Memorial Day and managed to not wait more then 2 minutes for any room. Some rooms had no wait times. I think the highest wait time we saw for any room was 5 minutes. Lockers are free to use, which is great. There is also an area in the back where you can grab food if you want to pause your time and take a break. All in all, I think it's a great indoor activity if the weather is bad - and a great place for all ages. read more

I had a lot of fun with my 4 person group of 30 year olds. I will say that the restaurant and the games are completely separate experiences. You eat and then you play or vice versa. You pay by the hours so if you were to buy 2 hrs and then go eat, you'd waste all your time. We opted to go in a Saturday and do an early dinner at 3pm. Unfortunately, the dining experience wasn't great. The server was really nice, but there was a long wait between drinks and ordering and then 2 of our meals came out and it took about 10 mins more for the other 2 meals to come, at which point the ppl who got their food first had to start eating or else it would be cold. Food was ok, I found the French fries too salty to be edible and my friends found them to be cold. Other than that, it's bar food with a really nice cocktail and beer menu. Though no flights, which is a little disappointing for a brewery with $10 beers. As for the games, we started playing at 5 pm on a Saturday (the food service portion took way too long, next time wed skip eating) so it was pretty busy. In 2 hours we played 12 rooms. We would have liked to do more but every room had a significant wait. It tells you the wait time on the door, so you have to multiply that by how many groups were infront of you. I would say we averaged waiting 6 mins at each door, then you play for between 1-4 depending on the room and how quick you fail. There's no way to really know the rooms ahead of time, you kind of just get in line and when it's your turn next you click "hint" and it tells you the purpose of the game. But say you were avoiding physical rooms, it would be hard to do without a lot of walking around and checking. There's no map, we ask. So I'm not sure how you choose ADA rooms and avoid the non ADA ones. This place is best for older adults, I would say if you're under 16 I wouldn't even bother coming. Meaning, don't bring children, we left ours at home. Next time we will come on a week day night so we can get more rooms done. I did notice, about 8 rooms were down which made the crowds gather more at the older ones. It would be less wait times with all rooms open. Overall it was a lot of fun, you get a work out, we left sweaty and I found the rooms we went in to be easy enough to understand (though not pass), clean, and properly functioning. Awesome experience. Our group of 6 walked-in on a Sunday evening. It's a really organized welcome process- two lines, one for walk-ins and one for people with registration. You'll create an account and they'll give you a player name (shout out to the Odd Mummy) and a wrist band. You'll use those to "sign-up" for the different games. There is such a variety games from physical jungle gyms to logic puzzles-- basically something for everyone. While our group of 6 stayed together, you can easily split up. We did the 2 hour pass, and hit up about 12 games! It was just enough time to build up an appetite and hit up the surprisingly good food! They have great Detroit style pizza (thick crust), Mac & cheese, and the biggest monkey bread. The cocktails were on point and it was an overall great experience. The staff are SO wonderful from the check-in to check-out process. Highly recommend for a different type of activity. After a long wait, this is a super great addition to Providence. Went on a weekday night with my partner. It was $29.99 for 2 hours of play. Unlike other places like Dave and Busters, it's unlimited games for that time. There were two other options for other amounts of time. I can't remember the middle one but the longest was $49.99 for a full day of play. The 2 hours did fly by, but I do think I'd probably get bored being there all day. They offer free lockers, which was definitely a plus. They also have a place to drink cups of water in between games and you'll surely need it! For a week night, there were only a few rooms that we had to wait to try. I could see it getting busy, especially on weekends. I think they cap the amount of people allowed to play at a certain time. We just walked up, but I think they're opening their online reservation system next week. It'd be a good idea to reserve in advance, especially on a weekend. Overall the games were super fun. Some more challenging than others! There are categories for each games such as skill, communication, physical activity, etc. Some of the games are wheelchair accessible as well, which is awesome. Make sure you read the hints on the screen before each room so you know what to do. I'm interested in seeing if they switch out any of the games in the future or if it'll stay the same. They have a bar sponsored by Night Shift from Massachusetts. After 2 hours of play, I was Thursday and enjoyed one of their sour beers on tap. We ate beforehand, but it's good to know that they serve food there. Certain games and challenges may be difficult for children. Some of them were honestly difficult for us adults! I think there's a good mix though and I can't wait to take my niece. read more

Great place to gather with friends! They have a ton of rooms to complete and we ended up doing a few of them multiple times in order to up our score. It was our first time and we chose the 2 hour play, but next time we might have to do atleast 4 hours. They also have an all day deal that is pretty reasonable. The complex although it looks cool provides absolutely no direction or assistance on how to play the games. You are wondering around lost and without support and the staff could truly care less. A beer here costs $9 and is the small glass so try to eat and drink before coming here. Again, cool concept but the staff doesn't do what they need to do to help and throughout my two hours here I could only find them at the front playing on their phones. They offer military discount so make sure and ask for it before paying because they laughingly told me that they couldn't give it to me because I had just swiped my card.
