Zen uses high-quality products too! I have seen a few recent low ratings here, but my experience at Zen Nail has been consistently awesome. I mean I spend 3-4 hours there each session so I observe what's happening around me, including the walk-walk-ins. If you aren't a small business owner, pls try and understand it's not always realistic for any business to drop a client mid-appointment. Horrible! Do NOT get "Gel X" here! I paid almost 90$ for a super thick adhesive application that made my wife's nail bed feel soo heavy and made the nails look raised the adhesive underneath was so thick. To add insult to injury I got her nails done for the delivery of our last baby and after her delivery the nurses noticed how thick and raised her nails looked and said "it was not done right" so embarrassing. I decided to give them one more try today and am utterly disappointed, my pedicure was crap I didn't even get the massage she threw a glop of minimal lotion on my leg and that was it, my nails they drilled them so thin removing the gel from my nails they are now paper thin and the paint job looks like a child painted them, they have bumps in them and some like purple hue in certain lights. No respect for disabled customers. The front desk nail technician was rude & inconsiderate. She had an attitude because I gave her my opinion about nail services. She walked away not caring or compassionate about my inquiries about getting my nails done. The seating was too low for disabled people. My appointment was scheduled for 2:15pm waited over 30 minutes before being helped. I walked out this is unacceptable not spending my money with undesirable staff. I read the reply back the customer service was unacceptable. It's not the first time & that's why I stopped coming to your salon on a regular basis. Always a different technician. Never could get the same technician within a two week period. Not enjoyable experience. I will not suggest this place. I will not give you a second chance to do me wrong. It was supposed to be a stress free experience. Excuses Excuses on how you treat the disabled. I felt discriminated the technician had a problem with me speaking up for myself. I am the paying customer. I said everything respectfully. It was no reason she should of walked away and not understand my point since I'm paying for the services. I requested white chrome to begin the new year. My 2nd visit I had Lilly. She is the kindest and so gentle and takes lots of care about keeping my nails healthy using gentle products to not damage my natural nails. I requested strawberry chrome and she tried several colors until we found the perfect hue. Was also served a yummy margarita while getting my service. My most recent visit was with Lilly and Kaylee. So in love with the airbrush technique. The most precious lavender ombré. Will be returning for my next appointment in a few weeks. read more

I've had my nails done by Jenny four times now. I'm a very simple client -- I always request a clean, short French tip or a single color. The first two visits, she did a great job, and I was happy with the results. However, the last two times, especially today, have been disappointing. I was charged $70 for this set, which was not even close to what I asked for -- the shape is off, the tips are uneven and inconsistent in thickness, and the finish looks rushed. I specifically asked for thin white tips, but some of them came out much thicker than others, which makes the whole set look sloppy. Despite the poor quality, I still tipped her $15 out of respect. But at this point, I can't justify the price for the lack of attention to detail. I'm sharing pictures of my nails so others can see exactly what I mean. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

She asked us to put in our number on the kiosk, they do use this in the end to know who to charge, and they have a reward system in place. As soon as I sat down Hallie greeted me asked me what we were doing and offered me a beverage. Very kind and she got right to work. My sister was seated with Liz and everything was fine until my sister asked for one of her nails to be evened out. After that request both me and my sister noticed a change in Liz's demeanor. She seemed offended and was rough with my sister after that. It almost seemed like she was rushing to get her nails done. My sister did not like her nail color and asked for a different color option. Liz didn't give my sister a chance to relax and choose a color instead she insisted to keep working on her nails while she struggled to hold the nail pallet to choose a different color. Liz then told my sister "wash your hands" and when my sister asked where Liz said over there without any clear direction that Hallie had to tell her where it was. It's a Friday but it wasn't busy at all to be acting so cold rushed and unprofessional. I loved my nails Hallie was very sweet and did a good job, but unfortunately for her my sister is the one who was paying and didn't feel this place deserved her money for the way she was treated. We went somewhere else to fix her nails! They have a complementary bar station, a photo back drop and overall very clean and nice environment. read more

This was my first time here, I really wanted to like this place. But after what I experienced I will not be back. I walked in and asked for a mani/pedi with regular polish at the check in desk. I don't like the way gel makes my nails feel and I told them that at the counter and again after I had to remind them twice I also wanted a manicure. The nail tech who was doing my nails clearly didn't understand any English. Even after I asked another tech to help me get across what I wanted. So he starts the manicure and just goes straight to filing my nails and puts clear coat on. No soaking my nails, no lotion, no nothing. I said excuse me I want a proper manicure with lotion and cuticle cutting. So he goes in to trim my cuticles dry! And cuts me twice. He then just puts polish on and it was so sloppy! I had to ask him every nail to clean up the mess and then he dropped the polish bottle on the floor and it goes everywhere. When I got up to the register to explain this is absolutely not what I wanted the person at the front said he thought I just wanted a polish change. So that's what he told him. What the heck?! So I paid $20 for a polish change and to get cut twice from your tech dry cutting my cuticles!? Then he insults me with a 5% off my next visit. Don't worry keep your 5%. I won't be back. read more

I was extremely disappointed at this service. I have come one other time and had a good experience however this time I tried something different (cat eye). They ran out of the color I first wanted so she used a different color that then turned flesh color instead of the off white I wanted so I asked if she can change the color because I wanted something closer to white. I picked the white color but after the second coat it turned grey! Not white at all. I asked if we can just redo them completely but they said I would be charged all over again as if it was a new service. I was shocked that they were going to charge me and just asked to leave and pay for whatever they had already done. She technically never even added the final coat but I still had to pay full price. I will never be coming back here or recommending this place to anyone. I have never heard of a nail salon charging a client for nails that look nothing like what they asked/ wanted. read more
