They lure you in with cheaper prices, damage other systems and claiming they "couldn't possibly have done that."

A real find. Paul, the owner, was terrific. I made an appointment, and was seen on time, everything was completed and I was charged more than 50% less that the Lexus dealership quoted me, and actually received far more than I had requested as part of their complete service. I was very impressed. The next week I brought my other Lexus in for brakes, as the dealership informed me that I was in need of a brake job, and again, Paul checked out the brakes and informed me that I had at least 40% left on my front brakes and did not need brakes. Very honest, straight forward, personable. Unless I need warranty work done, which would be rare, I can relinquish the car wash and cappuccino at the dealership, and receive a faster turn around time and receive the same quality of work for much less. read more

I took an older Lexus to them and intended on spending a bunch of money to have it fixed correctly. What I got was a sorta fixed Lexus, but not really but still charged a lot. The motor clunks out of park cause it needed diff bushings and trans/motor mounts. They say they installed these bushings, but the car was never right. I took it in twice after to have them verify that they were not broken or loose and they said they were fine but "the car was just old" which is a lame excuse seeing as I'm paying them (willing to pay a premium!) to fix the old parts. Fast forward to two years on ( I lived with it as long as I could), I took it to another shop...guess what? All the factory bushings were still installed. They straight up took my money and either put in old bushings (and didnt leave tool marks) or did nothing (more likely). Unbelievable. I came here because I read so many reviews that held them in high regard, but I got straight ripped off. I should have known when I asked for the old parts in advance and they didn't supply them that something was off. I even asked again and they just said "sorry the mechanic must have gotten rid of them" . No they didnt, THEY WERE STILL ON THE CAR! Perhaps I should look into the statute of limitations on this kind of thing in CA. Shame on these people. On top of this, they left a number of screws out, tightened bolts way beyond torque specs, rounded bolt heads,and nicked and damaged wire dressing and jacketing. This car was a babied cream-puff outside of the CA sundamaged paint, but they definitely marred things under the hood. I could have payed some kid or dude on the street to have done this same level of work. Its embarrassingly bad. I gave them their shot to do me right and they just continued to be dishonest. Yet another mechanic looking to make a buck by cutting corners. Definitely avoid this one. read more

My absolute favorite auto shop I have ever dealt with. Anything a dealership can do, they can do better and without the associated price gouging. If I get an oil change just about anywhere else, they'll try to upsell me with some expensive "discovery" they made (looking at YOU, Purrfect Auto). That's not to say they haven't found things that need to be repaired or replaced, but it's such a rare occasion that I can take them at their word. Paul, Aldo, Milk and Michelle are simply awesome people. If you have a Toyota or a Lexus, Lextech is THE place go if you want quality service, affordable prices, and to be treated like a human being instead of a checkbook. read more

I dropped by to get my AC fixed following a recommendation from a friend who said Paul is a trusty mechanic who won't rip you off, and she was right! Paul and his crew were very professional, friendly and quick to fix my AC issue. I really like the fact that they are appointment only. When I showed up for my appt, they started working on my car immediately and finished before the quoted time. They originally said an hour to hour and 15, but I was out in 45 mins. A rare honest shop with good service and mechanics. I arrived 20 mins early to my appt, they greeted and took me in immediately. Filled out some paperwork, they listened to my concerns, then they took the car in for a service and inspection, and gave me their honest assessment without all the junk that you get at the dealerships. Will gladly come here again for the next service or repair. They were fast and trustworthy, which is hard to find in LA. I grabbed a coffee at a local cafe, walked around the neighborhood -which has a lot of character to it, and the service was done. read more

Calling all women who feel they are taken advantage of by auto repair mechanics. Paul, the owner and his crew are all honest, helpful, and extremely nice. Paul knowledge of Asian cars is better than most of those who work at the dealer. I took my car into the dealer before, Paul opened his shop, and they wanted to charge me over $400.00 for a repair that Paul did for about $100.00. I have had zero issues with any of the repairs done by Paul and his staff. The icing on the cake is that Michelle calls to remind you of your appointment and she also calls within a couple of days to make sure everything is to the customers' satisfaction. read more

I drove from the Valley to Silver Lake to get an oil change due to the stellar Yelp reviews and recommendation of my co-worker. Everyone is so friendly and they even washed my car. The price is half the price of the dealers. Go on a Saturday morning and walk over to the farmers' market and take a walk to browse the boutiques along Sunset Blvd in Silver Lake. I loved that I could leave my car and take a walk to check out places on Sunset in Silver Lake. I'll definitely be back! read more

This is my second time here and I couldn't e more Incredibly happy with this place. Everyone is very knowledgable and I feel like I'm not being swindled or cheated out of loads of money. My car was not starting and I felt like it was time for someone to look over my car completely. I had thought I would need a new timing belt but instead of trying to sell me that the good people at Lextech said my car was fairly healthily. I decided on my own that I wanted a major tune up since nothing has been done to my car for a while. I would highly recommend this place to ANYONE with any type of car, but they DO specialize in Lexus'. My car was making a weird noise so I brought it to Lextech to get it checked out. Running a diagnostic would cost $75. When I showed them a video of the sound I recorded, one of the guys said "let me check something, it may be an easy fix". They saw that the air filter was out of place and that was making the noise. They put it back into place and didn't charge me anything. The mechanics could have easily ran a diagnostic and charge me for it but instead were honest and helpful to their customers. I've dealt with shady mechanics in the past and you can trust that the service here is honest and of quality. read more

I have a 2012 Lexus Ct200h that needed a brake master cylinder/ABS actuator system bled due to a new part. I didn't have the dealer software, but did the part replacement myself, and still couldn't get the system to update and clear all dash lights. Messaged Paul on a weekend, and he had me come in the next business day. Just from following his work and reputation (even as far back as the Silverlake location) told myself that if I needed help with something I would use this shop. I came here to get my Lexus's muffler fixed, as my car sounded different after I dented it. As a disclaimer, I basically know nothing about cars. The mechanic there looked at my car and told me straight up that I didn't need to fix it. He saved me quite a lot of money, and they earned my respect for not trying to sell me a repair that I didn't need (especially as a college student who really shouldn't own a Lexus...). Mr Paul M was very gracious with his time responding to all my queries prior to me even being a client. I had so many questions or concerns regarding my choice of purchasing an Avalon vs LS430 preowned. He agreed to help me out by doing a pre-purchase inspection to ensure I was purchasing a sound car. However, I ended up purchasing from a dealer too far from him that I couldn't do the inspection before buying. I did my due diligence on the car I purchased but I wasn't at peace until they confirmed it was in Decent condition needing mainly only to have the scheduled service maintenance due by the mileage. They wrote me up an estimate on all the recommended maintenance work to ensure the car stays in tiptop shape for the long haul. My experience has been exceptional from asking questions through Yelp to scheduling an inspection to getting the estimates. Everyone was very cordial and accommodating. I love these guys. They are so honest and very reasonably priced. The last time I took my car to them for a replacement clutch, they advise me to take it to my dealer because the warranty should cover the repair. My girlfriend has brought her lexus her whenever it needs service. All seemed great until her several month old battery died (our fault). The issue is that Lextech put the battery in and when they did, they did not put the battery bracket back on correctly. The bolt is screwed on so far it's below the thread. The rod shouldn't be sticking out 1 inch above the bolt and now the bolt needs to be cut off. read more

Great experience. Simply and smooth. What more can you ask for. Called on Wednesday to make an appointment for Saturday 8:30am. Needed an oil and trans fluid change. I also ask to check my brakes. Lextech called me 20 mins later about the brakes. Turned out I needed front rotors and pads. They provide a great price on the parts. I picked up my car at 1pm. read more
