About 6 months after my purchase my dryer started to only work intermittently; it's now been 18 months since then and I still do not have it fixed. Neither have been much of a help and I am now being told I have to figure out how to unstack my dryer and pull it down myself before anyone arrives. What if I was a 75 year old person with a bad back and no family to help me unstack, what then? They claim it's a policy yet I can't find it anywhere and even in the email they suggest to unstack it for faster servicing nothing says it is mandatory. I called and filed a claim with LG and LG Premium on 11/10/23 for a technician to come fix the issue. We had two appts (you must be available 8:00AM -5:00PM and wait all day) set up and the technician never showed up despite us receiving text msgs that he was on his way. A 3rd appt has been scheduled but we don't have any guarantee of services. You cannot get any help from LG Customer Service except for numbers that connect to international call centers. The workers are not fluent in English and background noise over takes your conversation. So, all hope is lost in trying to get any help! My fridge sent me a message to call about a temperature problem. I did, and they sent out a team that replaced the compressor in less than two hours. Great service!!! BUT I have premium care on our dishwasher. Bad leak, so I called. Sears repair came out in a couple days, ordered gasket and some other parts. Parts were here the next day, but the tech came out a week later. Apparently it is the only day they serve my area. Now the problems start. The tech didn't order the door bottom gasket, only the side. You would think he would have ordered a complete set. It's here the next day, but another week for the next visit. Ordered a washer. When it was delivered, they told me it was not possible to get my dryer out of my laundry room in order to put the new washer in. As though my house had been built around the dryer and it had never come in or out of that doorway. The delivery men were rude, the woman who called me to tell me that my dryer would not come out was rude. Especially when I pointed out that this made no logical sense since it had gone in in the first place. They then asked if I wanted them to leave the washer in the middle of my kitchen. I said no, I'll just order from Best Buy as they had successfully installed both a washer and a dryer over the past several years despite the "fact" that the dryer was supposedly permanently stuck in the laundry room as I apparently bought it from IKEA and assembled it inside the laundry room myself. The next day I got an email confirming the successful delivery of my washer. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with them explaining repeatedly that I was not in possession of any new washer. Three weeks later I still did not have my refund. I had called multiple times at this point- each person told me there was no documentation of previous phone calls. About a week after that, my refund was issued but they charged me a $55 restocking fee for returning the washer. So let me get this straight. Your delivery people were rude and also unable to take correct measurements. You told me you could not install the washer because removing my dryer was an impossibility. So I had no choice but to return the washer. And now you're charging me for it? I'm honestly astounded at the horrible customer service through this entire experience. He stated that he wouldn't want to keep such a refrigerator in his house but would replace with new one because it had been ruined, he said he would write this in his report. He then "reset" compressor but said that it probably wouldn't last long. He was correct because it died about 2 hours later that evening. We called LG again on 8/30/2022 and requested another service call in which they sent the first contractor guy Takos Home Service in which he came by on 9/5/2022 but he said he couldn't fix the unit after looking it over with a screw driver when it was him that stole our good component in the first place!! Had we been informed of these (possible) LG Refrigerator Defects we never would have purchased the item. LG states that its Customer Service is Top of the Line. I bought an LG 27" monitor model 27ML600M/MN60T at Costco. I want to calibrate the color for Photoshop, so I bought a Datacolor SpyderX Pro colorimeter. Before calibrating, the color temperature of the monitor needs to be set to 6500 Kelvin. Unfortunately, these monitors and the other three LG models at Costco do not allow this. No problem, I'll just figure out what the built in presets are and go from there. Nope. LG tech support doesn't have this information. LG has the worst customer service and tech support out of any electronic company on the market. It does not matter if LG thinks they make a better product than their competitors. I also check the other company Eralux. The complaints from the customers again the repair service was not to par. Therefore after 2.5 day plus of not resolving the repairs of our washer machine. I bought a WT7005CW Top load washer 2 months ago. I've been using the Heavy Duty cycle setting to wash large loads. Last week I only wanted to wash 3 items - a pair of pajamas, and a robe. I decided to use the Normal cycle setting and it didn't add enough water to get the clothes completely wet. The robe came out with dry spots all over it, the water never got to it. Crazy! I called Customer Support to see if a technician could adjust the water level on the Normal cycle setting and was told it's not possible. She said the lower water level usage is part of the High Efficiency rating. Now I will have to use the Heavy Duty or Deep Wash cycles to wash anything which fills the tub significantly, wastes a lot of water and defeats the purpose of buying a High Efficiency washer. I had the 10 year warranty for the part I needed and so I asked them to send it over so I can get it fixed by my local technician that worked with before. He has been a great help and I wanted to support my local businesses. LG support initially pushed their own technicians, but when I told them I wanted to use my local technician, they made me go through this whole process of getting all my technicians info to send him a "Letter of Authorization (LOA)" so he can order the parts because I, being the owner of the machine, am not allowed to order the part which I am in warranty for. After going through that whole process, five days later my technician still hadn't receive the email with this LOA. At this point he called the support line where they LG representative began to tell him that it takes 3 to 5 days to receive the letter, but stopped herself when he mentioned that it had already been 5 days. At this point she stuttered and then stated that it will take 7 to 10 days because she was initially reading the wrong info. My technician asked how a customer who's washing machine is not working supposed to wait 7 to 10 days just to receive a letter, then order the part that could take another couple of weeks and then hopefully get their machine working a month later. Her only reply was that this is the process that is required. It has now been a month and he still has not received this LOA even though he confirmed during his call that the email address they had on file was correct. Fortunately, my technician is resourceful and got the part himself and got my machine working. One of the reasons I like his guy. So thank you LG for all the lack of support and wasting my time while leaving my family with a broken down LG product. Don't waste your time with this company. read more

MAJOR PROBLEMS with LG company. We purchased a French door refrigerator from Home Depot and handle came off 2 weeks after we purchased. I called Home Depot first and was told to contact LG. I called LG and was told I'd have to pay tech to come out and fix it. I purchased a brand new refrigerator and handle broke in 2weeks. I was so shocked to hear but what can I do. I told them to send me new door handles. I waited 2 weeks and called 800-243-0000 to find out ETA and couldn't find my records. I placed an order again. I contacted after a week to see if they send it and "NO" records again. I was like WT**. Finally, after the 3rd try, the lady helped me going through all these problems and got it after 2weeks. Bought a fridge from LG in December 2019. Now, almost all of the plastic door bins have cracked and it hasn't even been 2 years. Never in my life have had a plastic part in a fridge break, until I owned an LG fridge. Now even though it's still under warranty, LG is refusing to replace the parts claiming it's just "cosmetic damage". It goes way beyond cosmetic damage--one of the bins is completely shattered and unusable, while most of the remaining bins already have hairline cracks and will shatter soon enough. LG not only is clearly trying to get away with planned obsolescence on its appliances by using cheap materials, their customer service is horrible. Avoid LG like the plague. read more

I purchased three (3) warranties for three LG products (two washers and one dryer) in 2018. All the units worked well until the front-loading washer started leaking in April 2023. LG Premium Care supplied repairmen to attempt to service the leak on four (4) separate occasions over the course of three (3) months. However, they were never able to detect a leak. During that 3-month period, I was moping the laundry room floor after at least two (2) loads of wash. I could get NO help from LG Premium (?) Care; therefore, I bought a new washer and dryer. When the old units were removed, the installer told me that our old front-load washer had a history of leaking. When it was moved out of the laundry room, there was a significant amount of standing water underneath both the washer and dryer. (We had not used the washer for at least 2 weeks by that time.) The baseboards and walls were soaked, and two floor tiles were cracked. Repairs to the laundry room totaling $1,500 were needed before the new units could be installed. I was able to get the remainder of my warranties refunded. However, the contracted repairmen did a poor job, they did not check to see if the water pump was operating properly, and the only advice I was given by the repairmen was to add less soap to the washer. Premium Care? I can't even get promised regular warranty care! Tried for 3 hours to get a repair date for my Brand New LG Washer. Boy LG does now want any customers left. There's a class action suit completed for it's refrigerators. Surly, there will be more. In any event, I filed 2 complaints with BBB in New Jersey. Following the second complaint, I miraculously received a text message from one of LG's "presidential" liaisons, Carlise. She stated she would call back the next day, Wednesday. She Did Not provide a call back phone number. Relying upon Carlise's promise, I did Faithfully cling to my cell phone All Day Wednesday, I never received the promised call, nor even a text. Unsurprisingly, No call on Thursday either. Second complaint: "Today is FRIDAY, clearly, LG forces the onus upon its customers to reach out and ferret out contact information to contact a LG "presidential liaison" - No direct line or extension provided - just a fancy name. In this fashion, LG Customers are forced into describing and redescribing and continually waiting on the phone -for hours - to speak with a LG Call Center rep. Today's call was with Michael, a LG Call Center Rep. I explained, again, this simple issue of needing to schedule a repair for my washer. Here is the outcome: (1) Michael was Unable to connect me with LG's "presidential liaison" department. and (2) Michael was Unable to schedule a repair service date and time with me. He was not allowed. He stated that the presidential liaison "team" were not available (although they are working today). Instead, he sent an email to the "team," and now I am to faithfully cling to my phone Next Week to catch some random call from the "team.". It looks like they may call next Monday, Michael said. I demanded that he ask the "team" to provide a time specific commitment as to the phone call; the LG's "team's" response to him was to tell me that "someone would call before 5 pm." This is so sick. Clearly, LG customers are not honored by LG. We cannot get repair service without jumping through prepared hoops. LG Customers are provided only with the website LG Call Center phone number ("the long long nightmare"). I wonder, is this LG's play defense to avoid providing timely repairs and promises contained in LG warranty? No? Then why all the run around? read more

Wish I had read all the reviews before we purchased our LG Refrigerator. First off, when we got it in July 2020, it worked fabulously. When our 15-yr old Kitchen Aid died, we researched and got an LG with a water dispenser inside. We love the layout and all was well until on it suddenly stopped cooling after first freezing up. Two yrs old. On the LG site, there is a threat that if they come for service and it's not a covered part, the charge is on the home owner. So we called our regular appliance guy who's just $50 for a service call. He came out and told us the motor was burned out (i.e., compressor was dead). In our 2-yr old frig. It had taken our Kitchen Aid 15 years for that to happen! My complaint is not with the frig. The compressor is warrantied. My complaint is with customer service. We called that day and they gave us an appt in six days. This wasn't like a shelf had broken, or the water wouldn't dispense. This was the WHOLE frig. I decided to escalate the matter. Customer Service said that there is no one to elevate it to. Then, LG has maked it impossible to get to anyone else. First, their USA HQ number is secret; the one on the website tells you to call the Customer Service. No matter what you Google. Same with their Regional office. All secret. If you post on their website, they have an automated system that responds via text as if it's really a human, but it isn't. It's a robot that never responds to what you say, just repeats that you have an appt. x days out. So, no matter what you do, you never get to a human, you never get someone to address the food spoilage, the giant headache that could have been avoided if they'd just come out quickly. Will NEVER buy an LG product again. read more
