Today was my first experience eating at Liam's Irish Pub. Two of my friends and I wanted the "Irish Experience". The food and service was great. Our server was very friendly and attentive as she was also the bartender. She did outstanding. I believe the cook served us our lunch and the food did not let us down. Came out to have a beer one night with my brother and I couldn't help but wanna check this bar out it's always been there and always caught my eye so I figured why not try that one that night. So a few friends and I went here to celebrate my birthday. First off one round cost 12 dollars and the other round of the same drinks cost 8 dollars..... At the suggestion of a couple friends, I decided to join them for watching some Monday Night Football at Liam's. There are plenty of TVs to watch for the main area of the pub and the volume isn't so loud that you can't argue about a play in the game with your buddy sitting next to you. I ordered the "Liam's Burger" which is a burger patty topped with Swiss cheese, corned beef, red onion, and mayo served on a toasted sesame seed topped bun and served with a side of fries (or chips if you prefer them). As always, I cut my burger in half and deconstructed one half of my burger to try the ingredients separately. If you're going to open an Irish pub, you've gotta do the corned beef right, and I'd say it's done just fine at Liam's. That being said, the corned beef was the star of the burger; thick and soft, slightly salty and lightly peppered to perfection. Unfortunately, the burger patty resembled something that had been previously frozen, thawed and put on the grill as the patty was dense and on the dry side. In addition, the patty lacked any unique flavor (it tasted like a hamburger your buddy just cooked for you at his back yard BBQ). Eating the burger all together made me wish they had put a hand made, fresh pressed, lightly salted and peppered, juicy and thick beef patty underneath that gloriously delicious corned beef. That would have sent this burger "over the top". The fries had a nice thickness and weren't overly salty. I'm a ketchup man, and the ketchup that was provided to our table seemed too watery (thick ketchup for thick fries for me, thank you very much). They have a good variety of beers here, and I was surprised to see that they had some Goose Island Bourbon County Stout in stock (it's considered to be hard to find, especially in a pub/bar). Yadda was very knowledgeable about the beer she has in stock/on tap; knowing where the beer comes from, how to serve it, etc. I was thoroughly impressed with her beer prowess. Yadda is also extremely friendly and chatty (great attributes for someone who tends the bar). Yadda really makes this place a fun. She constantly checks in on you, makes jokes, and makes you feel welcomed. This place definitely has its "regulars" but just because it does, you don't get ignored because you're new. Janelle, who was also working that night, was equally friendly. Overall, the food wasn't bad and the service was top notch. If they used fresh ground beef in their burgers (or, if they do, if the burgers didn't resemble grocers freezer burgers) I just might have to go 5 star rating here. read more

Stopped in for lunch for the first time with my 22--year-old daughter on a cold rainy afternoon shortly before Christmas. I instantly loved this place. Found out from the server that the female bartender is also the owner, and she had the guys at the bar eating out of her hand. The food was hot, cozy and delicious. I came to this place not expecting it to be as good as it was. My sister, who use to live in Azuza recommended it when my best friend and I were on a drive from Ontario to Palm Springs and needed food. First off, the Magnus Iris Cider is like the hard apple ciders they have been coming out with. WAY less sweet than Stella. Apparently hard to find but they have it here. Get one if you drink. Second, get the irish nachos. They are homemade potato chips with corned beef and the usual nacho fixings. My friend had the fish and chips which was fresh and very tasty. Our server Alice, was SO sweet and knowledgeable. She knew about the food (alcohol not so much but only because she didn't drink). At the end of our meal we paid and were about to leave, she hurried to us with a plate and said she wanted us, on the house, to try this dessert they have. Odd little dive bar that my friends and I occasionally go to. It's more of our last-resort-bar-when-we-can't-figure-out-where-to-go-next. They have karaoke nights and a live band occasionally, which are generally meh. The people that frequent the place are kinda odd, but funny, especially during karaoke. I was at Liam's Irish Pub during the Summer, when it was 107 degrees, and their air conditioner was broken, and the whole ceiling was messed up! At the time, I was hardly impressed with the place. BUT, I gave them a 2nd chance, and went back in yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, October 30th. This time, the place was cool, and everything looked GREAT! I loved the bar area, the first time! This time, I had their Liam's corned beef burger, with jalapeneo's, and onion rings.......WOW........it was out of this world, in taste! A Hell of allot better, than my favorite pastrami burger! The onion rings were the best I've eaten in a long time.....not all dried out, but succulent! A true unexpected pleasure, for sure! I can't wait, to go back, and order another corn beef beef burger! Their pitcher of Budweiser, in the afternoon, was only $11. The bartender, Ericka, was outstanding, and very personable! She was followed by Janell......who also was a great bartender, who made me feel welcome! The evening turned into a party night, in which later I did karaoke, singing "Monster Mash", for the Halloween Party Spirit! The crowd really loved it, and we all had a great time, together! This was the first place i ever came to out here when i started dating my now fiancee about 4 or 5 years ago. It seemed packed with more fun people then and we used the know the doorman (matt) and his girlfriend jennifer and they were so great, and they had our drinks memorized! Have been seeing the leperkhanz forever there, just dont ever go there on st patricks day. 20 dollar cover and way beyond packed. I ordered my customary shepherds pie and it came in 2 dixie paper bowls, one full of mashed potatoes and the other with the filling. What? the coins of gold are heavenly (friend dill pickles) and the shepherds pie doesnt disappoint. Now they have half orders which is super. Last time i was there it was for a leperkhanz show. (try to make reservations a couple of weeks in advance for the booths. or not. dont take my booth now!) I went in for my birthday on a Friday afternoon and evening.. The food and the beer was really good.. I ordered leprechaun nuts, breaded mushrooms, and Irish Nachos.. I had a few glasses of the Kilt Lifter beer, everything was good.. The only drawbacks was the noise from a few very loud patrons and the fact there was only one bartender for the whole bar until about 730.. I was there for almost three hours.. There were two bartenders for about 20 minutes and then the one left and back down to one.. The wait to order a drink was about 10 minutes.. That is standing there waiting to be acknowledged.. I understand being one bartender it's difficult to serve the whole bar when there are 20/30 people in the bar..
