Wow, wow, wow!!!! Liana's really takes the cake! (of course, pun intended). Today, we celebrated my Uncle's 60th with a wonderful cake created by Liana. She is uniquely creative and bakes a wonderful tasting cake....at first you worry the cake may look pretty but how does it taste? Well, she hit the mark on both...i requested a white cake with strawberries which was moist and not too sweet accompanied with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. The fondant is something most people don't eat but it was thinly layered and obviously not bad...as i didn't see any left on the plate. If you want an ordinary cake, go to Costco...Liana definitely brought the WOW factor to the party. She is easy to work with which is all done via email to ensure everything is clear. I came up with a concept and she was able to incorporate that into cake which was so detailed. So whatever your creative mind can think of, I'm positive Liana's can do it! I will be getting married later this year, and wanted to do a cake tasting of Liana's cakes. A Small "6" inch cake was $20 which was really worth it, and this is how Liana does cake tastings for weddings. I choose Chocolate cake with raspberry filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. The cake was very fresh and super delicious. It was also moist, and the filling was so good with the chocolate. My Fiancé also loved it, and it wasn't too sweet it was just perfect. I could have ate the whole cake but I decided to share with my Fiancé family , which my future mother in law really loved it also. Liana does an amazing job!! We started having Liana make all of cakes after having tasted a slice that a friend gave me. I never liked the taste of fondant so I was kind of worried that I would offend my friend when she went through the trouble of saving me a slice. I was pleasantly surprised that the fondant and the cake was so delicious! Liana has made our birthday, graduation, office and just because cakes! Just because cakes because we want her cake! I was soooo excited about my daughter's cake especially when I saw how beautiful it was but was disappointed when we cut it. It was not only dry but crumbly and no one wanted to eat it because of the consistency and taste of it. To make matters worse, I contacted Liana Yanamura to let her know my feedback on the cake and was accused of being dissatisfied with the cake because "I had too much cake and wanted my money back". Who provides that type of customer service. She asked me to bring her the cake so she could not only taste it (because she DID NOT BELIEVE ME) BUT return my money because she had never had anyone complain about her cakes (which I find hard to believe). Never once did I ask for my money back but I definitely felt she should know my honest opinion of the $250 cake I purchased. To make matters worse, when I drove to her home to bring her the cake she changed her mind on giving me my money back but instead she attempted to hand me $105. Anyone who knows me, knows one of my problems aren't monetary so the audacity of someone who is providing a service to be so disrespectful. Ok, that's it, let me return to my blessed Sunday.
