This is more like take out level food, those Chinese delivery restaurants. Food is not authentic Chinese food.

I got takeout there tonight and it was awful. Cost me $75 & the dumplings were like wallpaper paste, the scallion pancakes were raw & greasy, the shrimp in cashew nuts were tiny canned looking shrimp. When I called the restaurant to complain they tried to defend everything instead of being smart & at least offering to refund the $ for the dumplings & pancakes. I'll never go back there again !! read more

Surprisingly pretty good. Appetizers: Egg Drop Soup was Very Good Scallion Pancakes could have been grilled a bit longer as it was a bit doughy. Boneless Spare Ribs was a good appetizer, the portion was enough for two people and although a bit on the Americanized sweet side, tasted fresh and tender. Entrees: Chicken with Chinese Vegetables was a hardy portion, cooked as ordered and enjoyed. Beef Szechuan was also a good portion, served hot. The one aspect which disappointed me was its lack of heat/spiciness. I asked for EXTRA SPICY. Restaurants do not cook the entrees spicy enough thinking that even if the customer, in this case me orders Extra Spicy, the kitchen is too timid afraid of over spicing. SPICE IT UP. Szechuan is to be SPICY! Heat, sometimes Eye Watering, tongue flapping goodness. Kick it up! Especially, when a customer requests, EXTRA SPICY! Service was good and friendly. read more

Do not waste your time eating at this restaurant. On a recent vacation my family ordered 5 meals for dinner and had them deliver it to my beach house in nearby Ventnor. The total with tip amounted to $95.00. We ordered from the on line menu. The order consisted of: Imperial Bird's Nest (1 order) Happy Family (1 order) Shrimp with Chinese Vegetables ( 2 orders) Chicken with Broccoli ( 1 order) Chicken Rice Soup (1 order) After about 45 minutes the order arrived. Upon serving as found the Imperial Bird's Nest had no nest, one meal (Happy Family) seemed to have beer broth poured over it substituting for the brown sauce, and, all the other meals had no sauce on them and the food was very bland. It seemed as though all the ingredients were only steamed vegetables and chicken, or, shrimp. No flavor, very little taste. After placing two calls to the restaurant we spoke to a very rude person ( not sure if was the manager, chef,or,cashier--- as no one identified themselves. We received excuses that the person who took the order did not know that an order for Imperial Bird's Nest that is delivered does not include the Nest, that the meals are in a white sauce and not a brown sauce, so, the meals were correct. It is my experience that eating in or ordering delivery of from 100's of Chinese Restaurants that brown sauce is standard. The person I spoke to ordered to send someone with the Nest back. But, at that point it seemed ridiculous to wait for the missing item while the rest of the food got cold. What I asked for was a refhnd, but, was told the order was correct and they were busy and did not want to argue with me. I too, did not want to argue over what was obviously a meal that did not come as expected. The conversation ended with poor customer service and the food going in the garbage disposal. So, that is exactly what was sent---garbage. Do not purchase any meals from Liang's Imperial East restaurant in Margate, NJ. The food is terrible and the service is non existant. By the way...My Beach House is a summer rental and I will make sure any renter does not frequent this establishment. read more

Nice atmosphere. Happy to see crunchy noodles and two types of sauce when I was seated. Service was great and food came out quick. I was surprised at the size of the shrimp egg roll, just wish there was more shrimp in it. I had the General Tso's Chicken, extra spicy, it wasn't what I expected. It was 6 chicken tenders with giant cut peppers. It wasn't spicy at all. Pork fried rice was just ok. All and all for a lunch special, not bad. read more

If you have the urge for Chinese food while "down the shore," this is a very good place to go. When we arrived on a weekday evening in August, there were only two other tables occupied, which didn't seem to be a good sign. But we certainly enjoyed our meal. Nothing exotic, just well prepared and tasteful entrees, such as the Beef and Broccoli and Shrimp Lo Mein we had. Its Ventnor, Nj..on quiet Ventnor Ave.. The place looks like a Chinese Restaurant right out of central casting. .i was skeptical. ..well i had dinner there 8/26/2016 and i loved it. . The food was expertly prepared. .served super fast just how i like it..and great prices also. I am a very tough customer on restaurants. ..why..because food touches every part of ur body...it must prepared with that concept in mind.. We just had dinner at liangs imperial east. My dinner was Lightly fried silky tofu with lots of fresh veggies like snap peas, broccoli, peppers, water chestnuts and mushrooms. It was very good although slightly sweet. Didn't like that part so much. The fact that it was $10.95 made me love it that much more. Delish So my better half had chicken in black bean sauce. He really liked that a lot. Also had shrimp with chili sauce. Ew, I tasted it and it was soooo sweet. Not good please don't sugar our food. Not all Americans like sugar. Liked our dinner. Great Chinese and fast deliveries. If I need take out this is the place to eat. Their orange chicken is delicious, aswell as their lo mein noodles. I never have to worry about there quality of food because is has yet to disappoint. I like to try something new and so far everything has been quite tasty. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Absolutely WORST customer service I have ever received. When I asked questions about dishes on the phone, the woman who answered was incredibly rude (and did not know simple answers to my questions like "which vegetables are in ...") and then got mad and eventually hung up on me. Then, when we finally got our food, sauce and rice was missing and we had to make TWO trips back to get it. To make things even worse, they charged us for what THEY forgot. They even argued with us saying that they didn't forgot those items. I have never been treated so horribly as a paying customer. It takes a lot for me to leave a small business a bad review, but I genuinely think that they are so horrible that they are not deserving of anyone's money. Not to mention portions are small and expensive for what you get. If I could leave then zero stars I would. Shame on them for being such rude and mean people. read more

Some of the best Chinese food you will have anywhere, at any price. Kind and courteous staff is worth returning for, but it's the overall quality and flavors that are so unique and worthy. At least 4 times a year I leave the Philadelphia area in Lower Merion, get in the car and drive to Liang's - especially for the spare ribs, highly original cold sesame noodles and lamb dishes because they are that OUTSTANDING!!! read more

The chicken we received tasted like rubber and not cooked at all, we asked the waiter to take it back and that it wasn't eatable... the waiter then started yelling at us saying it was cooked . VERY unprofessional. And then threw the check at us and said "bye", I WOULD NOT recommend going there for food and the customer service was AWFUL. read more

This used to be our "go-to" for Chinese. Obviously things have changed with the change in ownership. The wonton soup was mediocre, the noodles so thick they were hard to cut with a spoon. The eggrolls were ho-hum acceptable. But, the entrées! Yikes, my shrimp with lobster sauce arrived cold. When my partner's sweet & sour pork finally arrived, it was chicken instead. When brought to the waiter's attention (who had a really bad attitude anyway), he was totally unconcerned, no apology, no offer to exchange it - and we were still charged for it.
