Initially I only offered one star...allow me to explain. I made an appointment and brought my classic car in for both a low coolant light being on and to have a multi-point inspection done. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After several unanswered e-mails and calls over an 11-day period I final made contact with the service tech who indicated the need for a temp sensor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I came in to pick up my car, I paid the invoice including the cost of the temp sensor. To my surprise the car had dirty handprints on the inside door pulls and footprints on the front carpet along with bird droppings on the carpet in the back. Interestingly enough the service tech had told me he had kept it covered as I had asked, saying he did so as they were having some issues with bird droppings. After a few weeks of waiting for the part, I called to check on it and was told it was not ordered; even though I had paid for it. Ultimately, I did receive the part, installed it without issue and the light remained on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached out to let the service tech know that the part did not fix the issue, and again after a few unanswered e-mails and calls, he finally responded back and asked I bring the car back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I responded with a written explanation of concern along with a picture showing a stripped wiring harness (apparently done by a squirrel or the like during storage) running right over the original temp sensor prior to replacement being installed. I went on to say that clearly this is a visible issue but there was no mention of it in the inspection report and I couldn't help but wonder if anyone even looked at the temp sensor as this literally ran right over the top of it and would have been seen an noted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I never heard from him again. Nothing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] UPDATE 10/18/24. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The general manager reach out via a response to my review. He was genuine in his desire to understand what had transpired.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We connected via a call and it was clear he had taken the time to understand the internal events surrounding this issue. He accepted responsibility for the shortcomings and offered to make it right.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I appreciated his efforts. This is not something I typically do, but wow we need people to know. We recently bought a truck in March. We were incentivized to leave a good review, and at the time I wanted to. But since we have bought the truck we have had nothing but issues with it. They say they are too busy to service it timely & will not cover costs. They said they would fix a leak, we sent it in & a week later the same light is on. We took it to our hometown mechanic & they said it was never repaired. Update: spoke with GM of the dealership and he also will not own up to the quality of their employees and is just as shady as the rest of the location. If I could give negative stars I would do so. The service department has gone completely downhill. We were sold a total lemon and purchased the highest warranty possible. After five separate visits, recorded videos as evidence, countless follow up phone calls, and several drives WITH advisors and the service MANAGER (all confirming they can hear the noises- granted a technician could never be available to talk with us either), the car has confirmed suspension issues. We were told this fabulous warranty we purchased will not cover the parts unless they have completely failed, and also that they cannot replicate the noise (even though they all told us they heard it during each drive). So when asked if they can guarantee the safety of the vehicle as is, they could not answer us. So instead they expect me to drive an unsafe vehicle around with my children and risk further vehicle damage and possible accident when parts are completely shot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As we were sold this wonderfully useless warranty, we also contacted sales to try to assist (since working with this service department is COMPLETELY useless), and they will not assist either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just more wasted hours and phone calls going in circles. Please hear my advice and be warned: do not waste your time or money on this dealership. They sell lemons and cannot own up to it. I purchased my F-150 Lariat at Liberty Parma and had good experiences. Unfortunately, they closed so I chose the next nearest Liberty dealership to service my sunroof that wasn't closing properly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Made an appointment for Thursday and dropped my vehicle off on Wednesday evening. First call I got was from a salesman trying to sell me a new truck.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They called again and said they couldn't "get to it" Thursday, and didn't "get to it" on Friday. They'll get to it Monday. I asked why they couldn't repair it on Saturday since they were open. Service rep said their "master mechanic doesn't work on weekends. They'll get to it Monday" so I had to leave it again. I had previously researched the repair on YouTube and it didn't appear very complicated or expensive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finally, I got a call Monday and the service rep said "we're not gonna do it". I said why? He just said "were not gonna do it".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They got the sunroof partially closed/seated but not repaired and told me my truck was ready for pickup. My sales guy goes back to "Mark", and I heard him call my sales guy a "f**ng r**ard" and continued yelling at him and belittling him. I made an appointment for service for 11am. Upon arrival I told the Service Rep that I would be waiting at the dealership for the car. They told me to sit in the waiting area. After 2 Hours I went to the service rep and he told me the car was out for a test drive. I decide to take a walk to get some food, but when I went into the car lot I saw my car sitting and had not been serviced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went back to service rep and I told him someone was lying, and the car had not been touched. He went back to the Tech and the tech told him he thought It was a drop off and not a customer waiting appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A half hour they finally took the car into the service bay. Then after another hour they came back and said that if I continued to drive the car it would fix itself. I overheard the conversation and chimed in stating that after 550 miles the issue hadn't resolved itself so I didn't believe it would self-correct. After another half hour they came back and said they would turn the rotors. So, after 4 plus frustrating hours I went home and picked up the car the next day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The communication was terrible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To top it all off, when I got home with the car, I noticed brake dust and other dirt all over the wheels, they didn't even bother to take the car through their car wash they just left the car dirty. Their CPO are junk, you continue to have to have them in and pay the $100 deductible for your car to run 2. Their service department does not have the parts for your car and will keep your car for months, until they can finally muster up the part and get it fixed, but while your car is their and rating stagnate, you have a car that has not any any fluids topped, and a tire light on! They also state they wash the car, but that could not be more false if you tried 3. Liberty Ford was full aware of my disability status, not only from my service dog, but my license plate, they basically do not want to stand by any contract you sign, and make you call the police to get your car back 4, Managers are rude and incompetent beyond belief! They basically make up whatever they want or feel is necessary for their goal to be accomplished 5 The managers tell you things that are clearly not in a contract 6 The managers will explode on you, (have the voice recording from the Richard Shagovac GM/ Partner) telling me I'm petty over a contract I signed and legally they have to abide by 7: just all around crummy service! 3 times my car has had to be in, they don't care at all how long you have to wait or the effects it has on your personally, and I am most certain will do the bare minimum to survive, charge you and get out the door Just stay away and GO TO another dealership that is willing to treat you like you matter! Several months ago I purchased a tailgate light bar from Ford Accessories website. When I showed up for the install that was picked on the website none of the staff knew what I was talking about. But they finally knew why they had a light bar on their shelf for three weeks. Finally got it installed, and light bar failed to where the turn signal didn't work. Called the service rep I worked with, said he would get a new one on order. About a month later I call and speak to him, and they had the replacement on the shelf but magically forgot to call me. Got the replacement installed and failed before pulling it off the parking lot! I called and asked to get copies of the wiring schematics and warranty on the light bar (putco) and I never got anything! Now it has been several months and nothing from this dealership. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone and not even for an oil change! Found the exact used car I wanted online, called, and spoke to a very nice salesperson and set up a time to test drive. I live 2 hours away in PA. 40 minutes into my drive, he calls, said when he went to look at the car, he found the hood latch was broken. I wouldn't be allowed to drive it until it was fixed, and the part had been ordered. So I turned around to wait for the next day. I get a call the following day - while repairing part #1, part #2 broke. ??? I'm already thinking I'm glad I won't have to use their service department! We agreed that I would be kept posted. Day 4 - the car was done, supposedly, and we set up a Saturday appointment. We get there on time, wait a bit which is understandable, and finally get to see the car! Aaaaand....the hood latch still doesn't close fully. Worse yet, the windshield has two large cracks that were not disclosed at any point. Really?? We still did the test drive and the car ran as expected. Time to deal! Ha! I guess if #1 you are not local and #2 you are buying a used car, you don't rate for respect from sales manager. I was told rather coldly that #1 he didn't have money to fix the windshield (which was clearly unsafe) and #2 there was no room for negotiation. Will never take my vehicle here for service again. Encountered two rude employees while just trying to figure out what part I needed. Service transferred me to the parts department to ask them if a part was available before I brought my car in for service, seems like they could have just done that, but ok, I talk to the parts employee who was rude and acted like he was doing me a favor. When I was transferred back to the service department I was put on hold for 7 minutes until they had an 'answer' to my question about how to handle a claim for the issue with my fleet vehicle. When I told the service department employee that the information they were giving me was incorrect since I've dealt with the fleet people before she was indifferent. I then decided to take my car elsewhere. She ended the call with a snide comment after I told her I would prefer to go elsewhere. Lots of places to go for vehicle service, why deal with rude people if you don't have to. Forgot to add that the service department dented my drivers side door in three places. They did agree to fix it but I really think they were hoping I didn't see it or say anything because they didn't act surprised when I walked back in to inquire as to what happened. read more

I took my car in for service to have the control arms tie rods and window regulator replaced, I was told it would take two days to complete before I could pick it up. When I went to pick it up after the two days had passed I was told that they had just ordered the parts for it and would be waiting for those to get in before they started work on my vehicle. It took 5 days for me to get my car back even though I told them I needed it for an appointment which couldn't be rescheduled. Every time I would call to get an update on my vehicle I was told that I would get a call back within a half an hour to let me know how it was going and I never got callbacks I always ended up having to call just to get the same response. I had THE best experience Ive ever had with a dealership thanks to Mr. Howie Baker and his niece Lexi. I live in Detroit and had been looking at a Honda Pilot they had for sale. Howie was very quick with responding with any questions I had and very thorough and forthright about the vehicle. Because I live 3.5 hours away I wasnt able to come check the car out and test drive it before going through with the purchase and I have to admit I was a little nervous as Ive never done this before but saw that the dealership had good reviews. Howie told me everything about the car before hand and pretty much put any concern I had at ease. When I finally did come to check out the car it was precisely as he described. No surprises. I test drove it and was satisfied and took it home. His crew got me in and out in less than an hour including the car being fully detailed and sent me home with a full tank of gas. Bait and switch at its finest" After researching Ford F150 trucks for over a month, I found two trucks at two different dealerships. The trucks were very similar, although one truck had issues with smoke smells so I decided to pursue the more expensive truck at Liberty Ford Brunswick. After contacting the agency, I finally was given a young man named Bayley who was going to work with me. He was fairly new in the business but he was sincere and honest.. I liked Bayley. After a couple of days, of back and forth, I asked Bayley to give me a price I couldn't refuse. He texted me $31, 496...which was about $500 below the listed price. I then offered $31,000. He texted back that his manager...someone named Cruse....rejected my offer and that was it. No counter offer. So, I started pursuing the second truck. A day later I was in position to purchase the second truck, but thought I would Give Bayley and Liberty Ford one more chance. I texted Bayley a new price offer at $31,300...just $196.00 below the first offer to me by Liberty Ford. Bayley texted me back saying the offer was with his manager (Cruse). Then, about 1.5 hours later I received a text from Bayley saying his manager would not accept my offer because the manager had originally forgot to figure in a cpo charge of $650 so he couldn't accept my offer , but because he made the original offer, he would honor it (the original price they offered which was $31,497) even though they were going "to lose money " on the deal. What a bunch of !%&$""#*!!!!! This was classic bait and switch tactics in which the manager "forgets" to add something, but then ... all of a sudden, "remembers" a new charge he forget during the initial negotiations. And now, he (Cruse) attempts to project himself as this wonderful, nice guy who made a mistake but is now willing to "sacrifice" a vehicle at his expense for your business...which is still staying at his original offer! Then, to make matters laughable, he wants to call me to explain himself. I work as a Psychotherapist. I didn't need to be 2,000 miles from him on the phone to clearly see his scheme. His actions were deceitful and disingenuous, not to mention unprofessional and unethical. I have bought nine vehicles over the internet from agencies over the past 5 years for family and staff, and every time except one, I had a very good experience with an out-of-state dealership. Now, I have experienced a second, but most negative experience. While I very much enjoyed working with Bayley, once he was required to hand my offer off to his manager, Cruse, things went down hill very fast. In my opinion, Cruse is your typical, type A, smooth talking used car manager who knows how to manipulate the buying public out of their money, for his best interest, not the buying public. Bait and switch is just one of his slick marketing tools to maneuver the ignorant buying public by creating the image that the dealership is losing and the public is winning. If you find yourself interested in a car at this agency and are given over to Cruse, I suggest you walk out immediately before he starts his phony act by employing one of his maneuvering tactics. Your wallet is at risk. He cannot be trusted. My suggestion is, if you have to shop at this dealership, go see Bayley, but do not, I repeat, do not allow the deal to be handed over to Cruse. Not one single encounter with them has been pleasant...I was told that my salesman was "gone" the day after I leased my vehicle and so they would have to find someone to help me with my questions...I'm still waiting on that call 3 years later. There was a recall on the vehicle and needed serviced - terrible customer service! I ended up taking my Edge to another Ford dealership and had amazing service. Now it's time for me to return my lease and now they want to be friendly. Sorry that ship has sailed! I am even having difficulty with them having someone available to return my lease. I bought a 50k Ford Explorer from Liberty Ford Brunswick in October 2017. They didn't have the model I wanted in stock so they got it from a dealership in Michigan. Liberty Ford wanted a deposit which I gladly gave them. When they finally got the vehicle to Ohio (2 days later than promised) they tried to charge me $2,000.00 more than the price we agreed on. I have an 800 credit score and have owned over 15 vehicles in my life. Never has this happened. I demanded the deposit be returned to me. Magically the sales manager was able to get the price back to what we agreed upon. I should have realized the shady practices and ran while I had the chance. A few days after bringing the vehicle home I discovered the window stickers applied at the factory had melted the factory window tint. I took the vehicle in for service and the service department ordered the glass right away. I was like wow...the service department is great. Boy was I wrong!!! They were worse than sales. To replace the windows, the door panels must be removed. Liberty Ford has since made 10 attempts to properly reinstall the door panels, and the issues still remain. This includes replacing 5 door panels (yes...some door panels have been replaced more than once). In doing all of these repairs, Liberty Ford has created new issues. These include making my power mirrors inoperable and damaging the keyless entry pad. They also damaged the smart key that starts the car. After picking the car up from service I was stranded because the car would not start back up. I contacted Ford corporate and they advised me to take the car to another Ford dealer for a second opinion. I did that and was told by the other dealer that Liberty Ford severely damaged door panels, plastic trim pieces and broke retaining clips. I was told Ford would not pay for the warranty work a second time since it was already done at Liberty. I had to take the vehicle back to Liberty where they tried to work on it again. Liberty Ford made another failed repair and actually made the issues worse. The last time I picked up my vehicle I was told by Service Director Tim Dockrill he didn't know what else to do. He then proceeded to yell at me and say he was done with me and done with my car. Now I cannot have any repairs made to my vehicle unless I want to pay for them. In 5 months since I have owned the Explorer it has been in the shop for 61 days for 10 different issues. It currently has less than 4,000 miles on it. I have hired an attorney, but Ford requires customers to use the BBB Autoline which I am advised is a 6-8 week process before a decision is made, and an additional 30 days before a buyback would actually take place. Very sad that a dealership could treat customers this way. Also sad because the Explorer is a really nice ride! The vehicle itself isn't a lemon...the techs working on it are clueless. After all, its door panels...how complicated can that be? I guess I just answered my own question. If you want a nice car, buy a Ford. Just don't buy it from the Liberty Auto Group...HMMMMMMM read more

Update: Rich Shagovac recently returned as GM of this dealership and is immediately making a positive impact. He called within a couple hours of seeing my initial review below. He went above and beyond to make things right. It's been a pleasure dealing with him the last two weeks since the service issue and I'm happy to continue giving him my business. Friendly, professional, fair, and consumer oriented. Looking forward to great service from his dealership in the future. I don't know how to articulate how disappointed I am with the service at this dealership. Everything from (extremely) low-balling a trade-in offer, the inability to diagnose my service issue on a CPO truck, to broken promises of follow up phone calls, I don't know where to begin. Hopefully this review will prompt some action and service. I went out of my way (literally, as I live 25 miles from this dealership and pass no less than 3 other competitive dealerships) to give my business to Brunswick and there is no feeling of appreciation whatsoever. Terrible place to buy a car!!! Sold me a $50k LEMON!! Then wouldn't do anything to help me fix it!! After MONTHS of trying to fix all the issues I took it to them & after 10 days they called & said it was fixed & ready to go. I took day off, drove 2hours to pick it up & it had same problem! Rode like a $500 old jeep! Told me to leave it with them again only to call me next day & want $1600 to fix it. I had bought the premium warranty! Shame on this dealership!!!
