We purchased a 30,000 car. The dealer ship never went over how to use the cars features. We have spent hours Goggle searching how to use the screens and buttons that should have been explained to us upon delivery of the car. Then there is the finance Department. Their goal is to get you to use their app and get out the front door. Again, zero customer service. Options were not explained in detail. We have been back 4 times to get 1 sentence answers. We are not dumb people. I am a healthcare administrator and my spouse is a business owner so we know a little something about customer service of which Brunswick Auto Mart has none. Tried to order a car part from them online. AFTER charging my card they emailed me in three separate threads marked urgent in less than 24 hours that I needed to confirm that I ordered the correct part. Over the weekend no less. Their email reads like a spam address so it also went to the junk mail. I just so happened to be looking for something else and ended up seeing the messages. They didn't ask what kind of car I had ordered the part for but continued to question wether or not I had gone to a dealership to confirm the validity of the need. Went in to test drive a car they had on web. Place was crazy busy. Young sales person (Liam) took copy of drivers license & proof of insurance and left it lay face up on his desk for anyone to see/take while we were out driving. Wasn't just him, sales person at desk next to his did same thing with another person's info. I verbally thanked him for leaving it out to be seen by all. Per the recommendation of my long-trusted mechanic (Ron Joyce; owner of Ron's Garage), I met with a salesman named Ravi at the Brunswick AutoMart's Volkswagan lot. Ravi was professional and Great to work with throughout the entire process! He listened to me regarding the type of car & features I was hoping to find, and the level of budget I had to work with, and he made it happen in short time. I ended up getting a 2019 VW Tiguan, which has been a better vehicle than I even expected to get, plus, the dealerships' financing department worked very well at staying within my budget. Since the day I drive that car off the lot, I've had to call Ravi about just a couple of minor things (including a missing port cover & a back-up key). We traveled from Florida, pulling our jeep with our RV. While on the way, our brand new hitch broke at the weld, causing our jeep to hit the back of our RV. The Jeep sustained some damage on the right fender bumper area. The check engine light was on, so we brought it to Jeep dealer to see if they could check why the check engine light was on. The manager appeared to be a 10-year-old manager came out and refused to even look at it or check why the check engine light was on until we got the body work fixed. I don't know what sense that makes. He said the sensors to the hood is probably what was causing the check engine light to come on, but the sensors weren't even on that side of the vehicle. This guy was absolutely determined to not help us in anyway, and did not appear to even know what he was talking about when it came to a Jeep. I took it to a private business who checked it and was able to do a minor fix in about five minutes. It had nothing to do with the bodywork And I was able to drive my car while on vacation. I would never recommend going to Jeep in Brunswick or Medina because they gave us the same issues. This company is snobby and have no intentions of helping you. They should be ashamed of themselves claiming to be one of the biggest dealerships. Maybe they should hire people with experience instead of what appears to be 10-year-olds. read more

This entire group is unethical and will do whatever they can to take your money, but are unwilling to help and make you jump through hoops. They expect you to just give up instead of resolving the issues. They don't return calls and belittle your concerns. I have a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The AM part of the radio was not working. The service advisor Stephanie had a service technician look the issue and said I needed a new radio. It was out of warranty and I would be stuck with the bill. When I arrived next to have the new radio installed, I mentioned about the radio warranty, which led to Stephanie calling into our conversation the service manager Robert J. Moore. He did some interrogating of the radio system and ended up resetting the system which fixed the issue!!! Had it not been for Robert, I would have had an unnecessary radio replacement and be out $500. Robert J Moore was beyond helpful. Honest and straightforward. He said before the position he now holds, he is a Chrysler Master Tech. I highly endorse Robert and his customer service abilities. Unfortunately. I cannot say the same for the Service advisor named Stephanie...not very friendly and certainly didn't take any interest in finding a solution short of a total radio replacement. LESS CAR for SAME MONEY Buying a car ... picking brand, model, color, packages ... is stressful because there's so much money involved in all the choices. Brunswick Toyota Auto Mart is our closest Toyota dealer. For our last two cars purchased from them, we have also been subjected to a shell game of final numbers. Two different Sales Mangers treated my wife and I with disrespect and insulted us throughout the process. In our most recent experience, we ordered and paid a deposit on a vehicle made in Japan. At delivery time, the dealer had substituted a similar vehicle made in Canada. $315 worth of accessories were substituted for those totaling $1,308 on the original order. Yet, the final sales price was the same on both orders. I requested a refund for the difference in the lower-cost Canadian vehicle. What ensued was an argument to maintain the unchanged final figure. At this point, Sales Manager Mike got angry, shouted at me and terminated discussion. Salesman Ron said he could refund part of the money on the credit card used for the deposit, but the rest would come in a mailed check. I requested the dealer to issue a check or cash before I left, because I could no longer trust the dealer. Instead, the salesman drove me to a bank to deposit the original cashiers check and issue a new one for the adjusted amount. The entire transaction took over three hours. I felt angry and demeaned by the attempt to give me less vehicle for my money. We will erase Brunswick Toyota from any further purchase or service on our vehicles. read more

I would say this dealership can be best described as snobs. They brag about being the largest dealership in the Eastern United States but can't even compete with other local smaller dealerships on pricing or trade-ins. They told me my trade-in had no value and offered $0 even though they are selling my identical vehicle with almost identical mileage on their site for more than $7,500 over what my buyout was. But my car has no value? Other dealerships made generous offers on my car and not one came close to offering me $0 like Brunswick Auto Mart. I reached out to look at a vehicle and set up an appointment. The vehicle is listed as pre certified. I asked about tires and brakes. All of a sudden they "realized" that the car needed new tires and rear brakes and is not a certified vehicle because that was "missed" in the precert process. I was told that they cannot replace tires and brakes to keep it as certified because at the price the car is listed it would be a loss. My sales person told me on the phone that they dropped the price of the vehicle so much to "get" foot traffic into the dealership. I even offered to purchase the vehicle if they would drop the price to cover the cost of the tires and brakes. I was told the price is the price and that they would not sell the vehicle but rather send it out to wholesale. And of course, the car is still listed. I purchased my 2020 jeep renegade new then started having problems. the vehicle would not shut off. long story short, had my vehicle towed, was told it was an engineering problem. had my vehicle in shop for months. last week went to turn off car and would not turn off. finally got it turned off, had it towed and then shop said it was the ignition switch and changed battery. I went in there to possible trade this car in and said they could help me get into a compass that I liked. tried to get ahold of my salesman Dean. and the finance guy. finance guy called me back, let VM to call him. I called him left VM, never got a callback from him or salesman. Purchased a JEEP here in 2018, which I love. Car buying experience is what it is...but they were fair and found the JEEP I wanted. Since then I have been dealing with a service department that is just awful. Unresponsive online scheduling, rude reception, difficult to schedule. They want you to drop your car for the day for a simple oil change, and they are 10+ days out to schedule that. I guess they are unfamiliar with the options everywhere. Of course this makes this promised "free oil changes" that are part of the sales pitch worthless. I love the JEEP, but the service department here is a zero. Went for oil change on 10/10/2019 Was charged for a multi point inspection, oil change, lug nuts and new wheel stud. Received all checks that Jeep was OK. Was also told no warranty on vehicle it expired. Today on 10/19/2019 car went dead. After opening the hood no oil change done! No coolant added! I paid for Mopar service when purchased the vehicle. My oil change was supposed to be free! I can't finish this review. I'm so mad! I probably didn't even need a new stud or lug nut I'll finish this later. I was told by the service manager that "there is nothing I can do for you" to fix what is causing the ABS Brake and traction control light to illuminate on my Chrysler minivan. The only reason I'm giving them a two is because car buying experience was relatively painless. My salesman was very patient and updated me regularly on the truck that I purchased. I had damage to a rim when it was delivered and they were very quick to replace that. Car buying experience four stars. Service department is a bit of a joke. I had a few issues with my brand new tundra and they brush all of them off saying there's no repair bulletin so they make a note of it and ignore it. When I left my front tires had 10 more pounds of pressure than my rear tires and I turned around to ask them to even them up, they proceeded to kind of make a mockery of that. One of the issues in particular were the window seals on the rear windows. They were basically falling off and I asked to have them replaced he said he would have to order the parts and he would make a note on my account. On my 10,000 mile warranty visit came around I called to make sure that the parts were ordered and they put me through to the Service manager where I left a message asking him to give me a ring regarding the window seals. I waited two weeks and did not receive a call back. I called to cancel my appointment and I scheduled a new appointment at metro Toyota. If you're looking to have a Toyota serviced it is a night and day experience. Did the service many more appointments available and had the window seals in two days where I am now scheduled to go back and have them installed. If you want professionalism take the extra drive and head up to Metro Toyota they were awesome. read more

Ricardo is probably the worst salesmen I've ever met. Went in to lease a vehicle & he was rude from the beginning. He said he would sell cars either way - wether I bought one or not. Then he added it seemed like I never bought a car on my own before and proceeded to leave VERY important details out of our agreement. More seems like he's never sold a car before. He was aggravated I kept asking for clarification and asking necessary questions. I luckily got out of there without purchasing anything, decided to go with a dealer out in North Olmsted and got. Brunswick Auto Mart, #Toyota, is lucky to get even one star. On Saturday, July 24, 2021, my husband thought he'd text our salesman to see if a previous lease offer that was made was still available. Our salesman replied that it was but would need the first months payment to secure the vehicle which would be delivered to our new residence which was 3 1/2 hours south in 3-4 weeks. They emailed the e-documents for which my husband decided to hold off on until he spoke to a local Toyota dealership to see if the offer could be beat. The local dealer was able to beat the price and get the vehicle to us faster. We called Brunswick Toyota Monday (they were closed Sunday) to cancel and get our money back. At this time, the sales Manager was incredibly rude and condemned my husband and the local dealership we decided to go with. He told us our recourse for reimbursement was to file a dispute with our bank (45-90 day process). We were astounded. After a few days of not receiving our money back, my husband left several voicemails for which none were returned. It was then we called Corporate and filed a complaint. We have spoken to Corporate four times now with no resolution. Essentially, a theft has taken place. I hope the manager doesn't have the nerve to respond to this review as he's done others as if to apologize and try to resolve because multiple calls were put into him without response. They will not even take or return the calls from our financial institution for which we filed a dispute on 7/27/21. They are procrastinating on purpose. Still no reimbursement. We definitely recommend not using this dealership. 08/16/21 UPDATE: Called the bank to see if there was an update for our dispute and was told the reason we haven't received the funds is because Brunswick Auto Mart (Toyota) has not released the funds. They legally have 90 days to release those funds. I fully expect they'll go the full 90 days. Infuriating! read more

This company is an absolute joke, it is as if it were run by children. I ordered a cargo net from their BAM wholesale parts company, which, according to their website, was a direct fit for my car. I received a cargo net that did not fit. It turns out their website had incorrect information on the part. When I emailed them about it, I receive a smartass reply saying that the part did not fit because I had the wrong car for it. After some unproductive back-and-forth with them, I finally got a return shipping label, and a week after the product was delivered back to them, I still had no refund. I emailed them threatening to file a dispute against them with my credit card, upon which they promptly informed me that they had refunded me for the purchase less shipping. I informed them that I expect nothing less than a full refund of what I paid, because their website contained incorrect information, and I am still waiting for a response. This company is sketchy as all get-out, they don't answer emails promptly, and they don't answer their phones at all, even during normal business hours. They are arrogant, snotty, and unhelpful. read more

I took my 2021 Prius in for routine maintenance and installation of a part that had previously been ordered. In the first year I owned this Prius, the weather stripping on the drivers side rear door failed. The car was new enough that the stripping was replaced at no charge. Arriving home, I looked at the repair and realized that the part was defective. If you look at the first photo, this is an image of the stripping which was installed. Although it appears to be broken, it is not, but it is clearly deficient. I photographed it in the event that it should also fail. It did and the next time I went in for service I showed the photo to the agent who ordered the part. No mention was made of my having to pay for a defective component. I received a call that the part was in and made an appointment for service and the repair. When it came time to check out, they charged me $200+ to which I objected. The agent told me that it appeared that the stripping had been scratched and chewed by a dog. I asked to speak to the manager and showed him the photo (I found out later he was not the manager, that the manager was in fact out of the building). After a very long wait he removed the charges. Here is the part that is too unbelievable to be true. When I got home I again checked the stripping. The reason I waited so long was that they had taken the car back into the shop and REMOVED THE NEW PIECE and replaced it with the old one. Unreal! I have included a photo of the piece they put back in so that you can see clearly that there are neither scratches or bite marks on the part in question and that the break looks remarkably similar to the defect in the original photo. My dogs live in the house. I don't leave them in the garage with the rear door of the car open and even if I did, I doubt they would chew on rubber stripping. That rear door is opened twice a day about 5 days a week when I retrieve and replace the leashes (which I store behind the driver's seat) when I take the dogs to the park. The dogs enter and exit via the rear door. I would not think that the stripping should fail as a result of routine opening and closing of a car door. While I was waiting for the repairs, the agent came out and told me I needed new tires. One was brand new as I'd had a flat. I agreed to four new tires and was told that the new tire would be placed in the back so that I could use it for a spare. The new tire had a nail in it but could easily have been repaired. I was told that the best of the tires would be left in the back. After leaving the dealership I noticed that the tire was not there. I returned to the dealership, but they did not give me the tire. After their questionable conduct, I, quite frankly, wonder if I even needed new tires. Apologies, no option to include photos. read more

If you reach the operator, she will speak to you rudely enough to hang up on her. I have purchased 3 Ram Trucks and 2 Chrysler 300's and this dealer makes me want to never purchase another Chrysler product, especially NEVER from them. A mechanic friend helped me do a scan check with his scanner when the check engine light came on and traction light with cruise light . The scanner read cam sensor was bad . The lights would come on for a couple of days then would go off for a day .the cam sensor was more than I wanted to do. So we took the car to Brunswick Subaru. Of course the lights had gone off. So we explain what we thought was wrong. He called us back and said there was no oil in the car . I had checked the oil the day before it was a half quart low I didn't add oil because the oil change was due in about two weeks. They told me it needed an oil flush for $500 plus the diagnostic test for $160 we paid for the test which took about 5 minutes for me to do the day before. And took the car home . The car has about 71000 miles on it and gets regular oil changes . read more

I received by email spec sheets with MSRP pricing on the vehicles I was interested in. When I went to the dealership I was told there would be a $2K dealer mark-up on the vehicle I wanted. I left and when I questioned their very deceptive sales process I was told that 350 families still must be fed during this historic low inventory times to justify the dealer mark up. Was there today. Looked at a cargo van. Power door locks yes, but only one key, and no key fabs. Van was great,a little more than I wanted to spend, but figured I'd meet in the middle with at least a key fab. What's the f ing point of spending 15k for a vehicle in OHIO, with no keyless entry. As much as I'd love to spend my winters, which are loooooong, pouring hot water over my key hole just to get in my van that I use for for my job, no forking thanks. I'm a little bias, I tear things apart and rebuild them for a living. Some people dress up and act like their job matters! Two worlds collide. Useful vs. usefulness...... What poor customer service! I was simply getting parts for my MX-5, which I race. I was out of town; this is not my regular dealer, which is in Boardman, OH. I was greeted rudely and treated as an inconvenience or an imposition on their time! Additinally, they were unaware of any discount for military or the MazdaSpeed discount program. Because I race my Miata from Indiana to Kentucky to Georgia, I deal with many dealers; I've had such a poor experience.
