Since my review on Meridian Auto Sales, Gwyn reached back out to us and offered a full refund on the vehicle. I do not know the male owners name but he is unpleasant on almost every level; Very aggressive, pushy, and believes he is right in all cases. He literally told me, he knows all the laws and told me to do whatever I had to, he said I would never get that money back. This person will leave a bad taste in your mouth. (He is why this review will not get a higher rating.) This guy gets 0-stars. Gwyn has been the more personable and the more helpful owner in this process. She is communicative, friendly, and seems genuine. If she were the only person we had to deal with in this process, I believe we could have resolved this more quickly without escalation and with a 5-star satisfaction rating. Be cautious with any vehicle you decide to purchase, we had a few unpleasant moments and a few moments that went pretty well. I went in to Liberty cold, not knowing anything about them. I went to look at a specific car that they had advertised. They greeted me promptly, they showed me the car, let me drive it, showed me the Carfax, and answered my questions. They were not pushy, and were very easy to deal with. I did purchase the car, and it has been very good. I did have a few questions the next week and they either answered or called right back. I also asked for one minor repair on a seat, and they promptly scheduled me for it. Overall it has been a positive experience. read more

Avoid at all costs! Recently bought a used truck here. 20 miles later, check engine light comes on. I clear it, 100 miles later, it comes back on. Catalytic converter failure, essentially does not meet air quality standards for our county I live in and must be fixed before it can pass an emissions test. $1200. I generously offer to split the cost with Liberty, so that I can have a reputable mechanic work on it (that probably charges more than one they would arrange). They refused any refund, suggesting "it was not a issue" when they had it. Apparently implying that I wore out the catalytic converter in the 20 miles. Yes, the vehicle was sold as is, but I would not have paid that price if I had known. Highly unscrupulous business practices bordering on criminal. Avoid these guys! read more

This company is a complete rip off. This company is owned by the same people that owned Meridian Auto Sales. Please look at those reviews before you go to Liberty Motors. They have changed their name due to so many bad reviews and costumer complaints. They need to be shut down. I purchased a vehicle here on 7\25 I was involved in an accident and was currently unable to walk during the time of my purchase, after driving it off the lot I had immediate issues with the vehicle. The check engine light came on 40 miles after leaving the dealership. I was in their mechanic for over 4 hours the next day. Then the truck completely dies on me and would not run. The vehicle almost killed me going up a hill. We have tried to explain that this issue with the truck falls under the Consumer Protection laws of Idaho. Gwen and Alex will tell you about how they have a 7-day guarantee of the vehicle I called 5 days later (7/30) asking for my money back... They will tell you how they have mechanics that will fix any issue at wholesale prices for parts. Do not believe a word. They towed my vehicle to their mechanic and their mechanic. Then the dealership refused to pay for the work that was done. None of the work the mechanic did was in my consent and nothing was signed on my end for them to do the work on the truck. This was all coordinated by the dealership. I called 2-3 times a day to the mechanic and they would not let me know what they were doing to the truck I purchased. I told them I wanted my money back with in the seven days. This was not honored. I have been without a vehicle for almost 3 months now because of this dealership. I spent over 10,000$ on a vehicle that they knew had many issues with it after telling them I want my money back and going to the owner Arsim Maliqi. Arsim will take your money and run then yell at you afterwards and claim no fault. He claims he doesn't have to do anything because the truck was bought "as is". There is no reason for the dealership to tow my truck then rack up a bill and expect me to pay with out any consent or notification of what is being done to my truck. That is acting in bad faith and is illegal. The truck currently sits in a field at their mechanics shop... A complaint has been placed with the Attorney General and they refuse to respond back to them. This business is not accredited with the BBB. I advise everyone to stay away from this dealership. If you have been affected by this dealership, please submit a complaint to the Attorney General. This business needs to be shut down. read more

Liberty motors used to be Meridian Auto Sales, DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!! They are absolute frauds and crooks, the owner is very rude and yells at you, instead of solving problems. My son bought a truck here after he was in a fatal car accident, excited to put his life back together, came to a halt when he purchased a LEMON from GWEN!! The truck he purchased had died on him within a hour of taking it off the lot, Gwen told him to take it to their mechanic, who said it was 2 sensors that he replaced. After getting truck back he proceeded home, the truck lost all power going up our steep mountain road, no steering no brakes he started to roll backward down the mountain towards a cliff. He was able to stand on the brake and pull emergency brake to get it to stop. Very upset and not having the use of both legs due to accident, he finally got it started and made it home, with more emotional trauma. Liberty motors towed truck from our house because it was too dangerous to drive, took it to their mechanic and had mechanic fix it, without our knowledge as to the problems. They would not keep us updated, avoided us, didn't return calls, finally when all was said and done the bill came in and now liberty motors refused to pay for the work they approved, without our knowledge. The owner screamed and yelled at us when we made it clear it was his bill. My son still has no vehicle, the money he received to buy a replacement vehicle they took from him and refuse any refund. We filed complaint with Attorney General, who has sent the owner 2 letters to resolve this, he has not responded. I went in and talked to Gwen, who acted like she cared, but did not, as she had no problem blowing us off. Not returning my calls, I called and the owner got on phone and proceeded to yell at me! THIS HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! Their crookedness has hindered my sons healing, they have erased his reviews, and still get to be crooks and frauds in our wonderful city of Boise! If you have this problem please report to AG office, they now have a file on them. Time to shut these THIEVES down! Look for our story in the news, should be released soon! read more

I'm really happy about the service I got from this place. I bought my first car from here and it's been about 3 months now. I absolutely love my car. I got a 2002 Subaru Outback with 90,000 miles, they pulled up the carfax and showed me all the paper work. My car also comes with warranty, and they have an in house mechanic who is sooo nice (his name is Tom) in case the warranty doesn't cover it and he's honest and fair. before i bought the car they said they were looking for new tires for it. before i bought it the salesman said they would pay for half the price of new tires if i found them because they didn't have the time to get them before i purchased it. i got new tires for it and called them to see if they would still honor the deal. the lady i talked to denied that the salesman would make that deal. so basically they'll say anything to get you to buy the car. i will not be taking my business to meridian auto sales again. buyer beware!!! read more
