We ordered catering from here for a huge family reunion and everything was good. If I remember correctly we got the piccadillo, the baked chicken, the yellow rice, and chicken empanadas and beef empanadas. The chicken empanadas were a little dry but everything else was on point.

I love Liborios! They have a wonderful selection to choose from and it's always fresh! Their plate servings are massive and enough to feed you for two or three meals (maybe even four!). Their prices are great. I've been coming here years and anytime I'm in Tampa I always try to stop in and grab a large plate. Their yuca and roasted pork is so delicious! Their tables are always clean and so is the soda fountain area. The ladies who are behind the counter are always friendly and polite. They don't rush you through ordering either.

    Awesome meal for $12.49

A group of us stopped in to Liborios for a quick dinner before seeing a show at the Tampa Amphitheater last night. Liberios serves a variety of Puerto Rican, Cuban, and American food cafeteria style. Additionally, they have a full breakfast menu, a decent selection of hot/cold sandwiches, and offer catering. Don't let cafeteria style process chase you away; the food is fresh, delicious and the staff load you up, so there is no way to leave this place hungry. Nancy and I went with the two large combos ($12.49 each), which comes with one choice of meat and three sides. I went with the pulled pork, rice with vegetables, sweet plantains, and vegetable soup. Nancy chose the pork ribs, green beans, sweet plantains, and chicken noodle soup. All of the food was awesome, my only complaint is that my rice was a little salty for my taste, other than that, everything else was great. Our friends let us try their Picadillo and Papas Rellenas which were full of flavor and delicious. The Papas Rellenas were huge, I would have been happy to order two of these bad boys for dinner and call it a day. The soups were very good as well, they sell the soup in larger quart options too. I love the big chunks of vegetables and chicken chunks with bone still attached; definitely provides that traditional-real-deal feel. Something to take into consideration when ordering, is you get a 10% discount when you pay with cash. I've been told that Liborios is a local favorite and at lunchtime the line can go outside the door and around the building. We must have been lucky because we got here right around 4:30pm and there were only a few customers in line and several more came in behind us. There is not a lot of seating here; however, fortunately for us, most customers must have been regulars because they were taking their orders Togo. Something else I should mention is there is a bar directly to the right when you walk in. I like how management decided to keep the bar separate from the dining area, it allows families to bring their children in for dinner without mingling with the bar crowd. However, if you need to use the restroom, it is located in the bar section. The bar is quite popular and has a pool table if you are looking fit in a game or two with a friend. All-in-all, Liborios Latin Café has a great thing going and I look forward to coming back to try some more of their food in the future. If you happen to be in the area or live in Tampa and have never been here before, I highly recommend giving them a try.

Stopped here recently for lunch. It looked good and got good reviews here on Yelp. Let me say we were not disappointed. The restaurant is set up cafeteria style. You start out with picking a rice and then your sides and then a protein. I decided on spainish rice with sweet plantains and a garbanzo bean soup with the fried fish. Everything I got was good. Next time I would probably switch out the garbanzo bean soup. There were so many options certainly something for everyone. I also added a tamale. It was good but I would probably hold off on getting that again. The wife got a Cuban Sandwich. That was very good. The dining room is spacious and they had additional seating outside. I also saw a bar area which I would assume is open on the weekends. The service was good and prompt but limited if you don't know Spanish. We will totally be back.

We stopped by for lunch and were impressed with how many options were available to us at this cafe. They have cafeteria style service where you can choose your dish with sides or get a sandwich. I decided to get a Cuban sandwich. It was one of the best ones I've ever had. I got a large one, so I would have leftovers. The bread was pressed how I prefer with it not toasted too much. I don't want the roof of my mouth to be injured from eating a sandwich. This one was perfect. The outside of the bread was lightly toasted, but the inside was still soft. The meats were plentiful and I can't wait to go back again soon.

Great cafeteria style set up. Price point is good and the selection is big. Service is easy since it's just counter service. The food is very good too. This is a great spot for a grab and go.

As a Tampa Native, what is this? Because it definitely isn't a Cuban. The most mediocre and overpriced Latin restaurant I've been to in a while. Never again.

First they don't finish the sandwich before sending it and when I sent it back to be fixed how I ORDERED it this is what came back $10-$12ok

I really hope that the same junkie service ya give on Causeway doesn't come to Riverview your staff is the worst have nasty and rude for no reason and the food is not good at all specially if you can't get the concept of a simple BLT (Bacon, Lettuce and tomatoes) sandwich you shouldn't be in a kitchen. Riverview can do way better than this so I really hope is a different owner different staff and different "Chef" or just don't open at all.

There's plenty of options at this place, the food is good but the Flavor just needs a little more sazón like us Cubans do. The amount of food they serve can probably feed two people. Great price for all the food you get. Went back twice to eat here because it's just that good and affordable.

Best Cuban sandwiches around! Pretty fast too. They have breakfast sandwiches also. The plantains are sweet and delicious.

SERENDIPITY…read more Serendipity is defined as good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries. This was certainly the case as a crack caused me toI have the windshield replaced. "There will be a two hour wait." said the technician." A friend who had accompanied me and I set out to find a coffee shop to grab coffee and a snack as it was noon. We spotted what appeared to be a restaurant within walking distance. The sign outside "Tropical Cuisine" did not prepare us for what awaited inside. The restaurant is located at 9005 E Adamo Dr, Tampa, Florida As we entered and the door closed behind us we were amazed at the size of the restaurant and we found ourselves on a food line that stretched the full length of the restaurant. As we sat sipping a coffee and enjoying a doughnut Federal Express, postal workers, police, contractors, business workers and families with children provided a steady flow of customers to the unending line. We both decided to jump on the food line. The trip through the line presented two problems. With so many culinary choices we were selecting more than we could eat. When we got to the table we both realized we had more food than was possible to consume. The quality and taste of the food explained the unending arrival of customers. My friend begins to load his Takeout Box which will provide two additional meals. We will be returning in the near future. What a great find.

So after I ordered the meal I can tell that 2 things went wrong. The side of bbq sauce I requested was missing and my partner asked for brown rice and instead got white rice. So we ordered the empanada and that was deliciously good. Full of flavor. I got the toston with pork and the disappointing part about this was the fact that the toston was not fully fried was disappointing. There's parts that were in the middle of the stone that weren't crispy and I can tell just by the fact that I was cutting into it too easily. Even worse than the rice bowl. When you first start eating it it's pretty good because it's warm. For whatever odd reason it is, it tends to lose its temperature very very fast. It was way too soon and then it started to taste very bland in flavor. I couldn't even eat the rest we ended up throwing it out. I wouldn't come back because it's definitely not in the area that I live in. But even worse than that I've definitely been to other Latin bowl like restaurants that ha

After being packed it was delivered within 20 mins so the temperature it arrived it doesn't make sense. That complaint aside, the food was very tasty and all of the flavors complimented each other. Shredded Beef Rice Bowl- including small pieces of sweet plantains along with the cilantro lime sauce elevates this dish. I also included corn, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. 5/5 Chicken Rice Bowl- the chicken was hard even after reheating. I included spinach, sweet plantains, tomatoes, corn, and cheese . The Jalapeño sauce added a very small kick to it and they were generous with the sauce. 4/5 Beef Empanada- after reheating it lost its crispiness. The beef was well seasoned and included olives and a yellow something (not sure what it was) . 4/5 Free Chips and Salsa- Chips were crispy but salt less and the salsa had the consistency of marinara sauce. My husband and I were not fans of these. 2/5 I would like to come in and try new items in person. I would also like to note for anyone that orders on Door Dash, you are limited with how you can customize the bowls. For example, you can choose your sauce but there isn't an option to let you put it on the side instead of on top.

Instead of explaining why they tasted different, two bartenders argued with us and told us we were wrong. They even remade one. The second one tasted exactly the same. Only then were we told that they don't actually use tequila--they use an infused wine product instead. Looking at the menu, it's easy to see why we were confused. The drinks are listed with ingredients like tequila, vodka, whiskey, rum, and gin. The only indication otherwise is a tiny line at the bottom that says they serve "Premium Blend Spirits." That doesn't clearly communicate that these cocktails aren't made with actual liquor. What really ruined the experience was the attitude. Rather than simply explaining the difference, the two bartenders argued with us, told us we were wrong, and we could clearly hear them making negative comments about us afterward. We ended up canceling our food order and leaving. Our server was kind, and we still left them a tip because this wasn't their fault. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled means we won't be back.

It's in a stand alone building, right next to a large apartment complex. The turn is very easy to miss on your first visit, even with GPS. But once you've been there, you'll never miss it again. Your tastebuds will lead you home. When I got there, early on a Thursday morning, the place was humming. There are no tables or booths-it's take out only... and people were whizzing in-then whizzing out with big boxes or bags. That was a very good sign. But soon, I didn't notice the other people (cue the music montage)... I was mesmerized-transfixed, even... by all the goodies. Everything from delicate coconut pastries to corn casserole to fruit tarts/tortes, to chicken empanadas, to fancy cakes to big, puffy/fluffy cheese loaves... all beautifully displayed and labeled. It was a feast for the senses. I couldn't stop taking photos! I also couldn't decide what to get, but finally blurted out something about the corn casserole and quickly added the coconut cocada and pan bolo (guava). I am happy to report that everything tasted as good as it looked. As the 80s ballad declared: "the search is over"... I have found my favorite bakery, I love that it has both sweet and savory items. I will be back again and again. But not just for the food. It's the service! The woman helping me was absolutely delightful. She was warm and friendly and helpful and full of good suggestions. She was sunshine. That's something you can't put in a display case or add to a recipe.. Ricopan, you're a star! I'll be back!
