A true treasure on the Bufadora street. When you get there ask for the location of this restaurant #1 or #2. There is no number on Yelp direction, it will take you all the way to the end of the street. After a long drive we got there when #2 were about to close. If you're in Mexico, you eat tacos, si? These are probably the best street tacos I've ever had. I can only speak to the Carne Asada, but I'm confident the others are just as good. They press the torilla's right there, and grill the meat in front of you. They're truly the best part of a trip to La Bufadora. The blow hole is cool. The gauntlet of high pressure vendors is not. Run past the vendors, see the blow hole, take a pic with the Ensenada sign, then return to Lidia's. Trust me. I asked the guy that took our order about this a couple times and he just dismissed me. They are disorganized, chaotic and do not provide any level of good customer service. I wish they were on the Disney cruise ship. One tip, their red spicy salsa is spicy. It's not for the timid. The best tacos in Ensenada. It's a bit of a drive from town but well worth it. Lobster, fish, shrimp, asada all taste great. The Chile relleno taco is a must. Amazing tacos!! We absolutely loved them. We tried tacos at another stand at La Bufadora first and they were good but we had to get Lidia's and they were absolutely the best tacos we have ever had. I had two shrimp tacos and my husband had a carne asada and an al pastor taco. They were all delicious. The handmade tortillas, both corn and flour were fresh and hot. The fried shrimp was crispy and flavorful. The meats were perfectly seasoned. The toppings including free guacamole were all fantastic and the white sauce is delicious with the shrimp tacos. I recently stumbled upon this restaurant on a cruise. It was highly recommend by our tour guide, so my wife and I gave it a shot. We both ordered two tacos chicken and shrimp. I ordered mine with cheese. To put it simply, they were probably the best tacos I've ever had. Fresh made tortillas along all the toppings make these tacos next level. Our tour guide brought us to this place since she said this was her go to place whenever she craved tacos. The line was out the door but moved quickly, and there was a lady who would greet you in line and take your order. You even got to pay for your food before stepping in the place, which was nice since the line moved even faster once you were inside. The tortillas were homemade, and they were actually making them right in front of you, which was really cool. I ordered three tacos (2 carne asada, 1 adobada), and there were all extremely delicious. Their guacamole was phenomenal! Best I've had in a long time. Not only is Lidia the best hostess by making you feel welcomed, her tacos are the best! The tortillas are fresh, the mulitas are big and loaded with nothing but deliciousness. ALL of their tacos are delicious (I tried one of each;)). Their jumbo quesadilla, delicious. Everything is delicious here, definitely recommend eating here if you going to the Blowhole. Drunk whores, endless alcohol, a bunch of foreigners.......that was all before even stepped on to Mexican soil, that was just on the trip there, yes it was a cruise. Not that I'm complaining, well not really. I didn't know what to expect heading into lawless Mexico, specifically Ensenada. I've been to Mexico before but not anywhere anyone wants to visit. I had not ever truly experienced Mexico and I was excited about the chance to have some real tacos for a change....no offense Taco Bell but I wanted to see the land from where Doritos Locos Tacos were born. Like they say on any good travel show, the best where to find the good food is to find the people that drive the cities for a living, taxi drivers. After haggling a bit I got taxi to La Bufadora....Meh, just water shooting up some rocks and a bunch of people hasseling you to buy garbage on your way to get there. Perhaps I was ruined since I had already had the best La Bufadora had to offer even before I really got started. The taxi driver mentioned Lidia Taco Grill. Well he never named it he just took us there and found out what it was called on Yelp. Lidia Taco Grill is the best Taco experience I've ever had. I've had other experiences after eating Tacos but those involved running and not to the border. If you have that problem here I hope you have some pesos handy because I think they charge by the square or something (the whole a La Bufadora area, I don't know about this place). Now that you're hungry, back to tacos. The line was short and there was plenty of seating, it's all out doors so flies may be an issue. I don't remember being overly annoyed or anything so it must not be that bad. You walk right up to the lady next to the people making the tacos. Everything seems made to order. If you like to see trays of mush, I mean meat just sitting there under a heat lamp this place is not for you. They are grilling the meat and chopping it up for you, the fish and shrimp are being fried right before your eyes. They have several different options for you to enjoy your tacos with, grilled green onions, salsas, chiles and I think even cheese and it's all just there for the taking, no extra charges. So I had to sample each taco of course, fish, shrimp, pastor and asada and two Esquirts all for about $10, that's it!!! In the US, that would be at least $15 and they don't even skimp on the meat here, they are pretty loaded. So after I sampled I had to go back for the real order where I was shamed for trying to use my "Ugly American" name, they knew what the deal was. Still I won't deduct for this. Another three tacos was about $5, that's fish, shrimp and asada. Again, I don't know the conversion rates but that would be at least $10 here. I should have just left La Bufadora after this because it was pretty much all downhill from here. At the same time I'm glad I went before since I probably would have lost my appetite after about the 10th ceramic penis coffee mugs, I could have used this drink my Esquirt out of maybe, I'm not sure what they are for or who buys them but they are everywhere so they must be in demand. I'm getting hungry again...lets go to Lidia Taco Grill!!! read more

Our amazing tour guide in Ensenada did not recommend that we go here, she basically told us that we had no choice because we all wanted tacos. I ordered a few shrimp tacos, a few vegetarian tacos, and a couple of cheese quesadillas. Let me tell you that I was so impressed by how authentic and flavorful everything was. Something as simple as cheese and a tortilla literally turned my life around and I can't wait to go back. The staff was friendly, the shrimp was perfectly breaded and juicy, and the cheese is to die for. We were warned that even a drop of hot sauce will cause your mouth to fire up. Yes! Just came back from a carnival cruise to Ensenada and on our tour to the local market we were told about this gem. Let me just say...BEST SHRIMP and FISH TACO I've ever had. Fresh handmade corn tortillas, hot flavorful battered shrimp and let's not even get started on the delicious slaw or whatever was garnished inside of the taco! The fish was melt in your melt good.
