Solid place to stop if you're walking down Siesta Key. Service is friendly. The strawberry daiquiris were delicious on a hot day! Food is normal, nothing to rave about. We tried the sampler app and all three options were bland, but the chips were seasoned and tasty. Mahi tacos were great! Birria tacos tasted like cinnamon which was odd... not a fan. You can switch the rice and bean side for a salad which was a good choice to avoid bloating by the beach lol! Overall 7/10

The Hub Baja Grill in the Siesta Key Village has some very good Birria Tacos on the menu! Very tender beef and served up with rice and beans. Added a side of the Mexican Street Corn and that was a good idea too! The tacos were very good, as I said they were very tender and the spice/flavor was just right! The rice was okay..the pico sweet, the beans were a little different. Not the refried version that I'm more familiar with...these were a more firm version. I mixed all the beans, rice, and pico together and found that the way to go. Service was outstanding and the live music sound level was just perfect. Love the Mexican street graffiti decor and overall friendliness of the place! My only down thought is that "back home" these "Street" Tacos come as a trio...but as they say..."when in Rome" so we just enjoyed them...they are delicious!

Funky Grill in Siesta Key. Amazing staff with fantastic service and a menu that is sure to have something for everyone. Prices are reasonable, seating is plentiful , inside, outside under cover and outside in full sun if that's what you want. I had been highly recommended to try the Bangin Baja shrimp and I wasn't let down, they were amazing, I had them in the tacos Parking in the area can be challenging at times today was not bad, just inputs not free.

The food was really good. We got 3 different types of tacos and they were all good. The only reason it's not a 5 star is because of the service. Our waiter disappeared for a while and wasn't very good. The band was great and nice place to relax.

This place is always happening! Seating inside and out with ever changing music. Sometimes the local plumbing stinks but didn't notice today. The cocktails are fun and tasty! The food is only fair to me sandwiches American Mexican food. But when you're starving... Tried the nachos and i liked them had chili on them and maybe thats off putting for some but i enjoyed. Tried fish tacos and fish sandwich and the fish was fishy! We had mahi and grouper and they tasted the same. Not horrible just fishy. For me it was a fun time tasty drinks meh food. Service was great for as busy as it was--- good time!

Its too bad the service was the worst I have experienced and witnessed w others because the food was good. Our waiter was a young guy that could of cared less. Had to ask for everything. Literally took our order never saw him again until collecting the bill. Overall this was the most unfriendly place we went to. We all kept saying how do they do business?

Amazing food! Waitress was awesome! The Cajun pasta was so good! The burrito was good too! Our waitress Andy was awesome!

Walked past this place dozens of times this week and it was packed every night. So we finally tried it tonight. It looks like it's a Mexican restaurant, but it's not. Not really. It's decorated that way and there's enough on the menu that would lead you to think that, but it's not. Too much standard beach/bar food to be a Mexican place. Our server was fine. She was great actually. The music was good. The ambiance was fine. The food was good. But for tacos, the meal included two TINY tacos. Hardly worth $18 for that and some weird beans and some rice. Honestly think it's just packed because no one wants to drive anywhere. I really wanted to like it, but $100 for barely average food for four people (and not nearly enough of it) is not worth it.

Wow we went to this place 3 times in our one week trip. Twice because thy have a wonderful patio with great musicians everyday. So we sat and had margaritas and listened to the music. It was cold in florida so they had the heaters out on the patio yo keep everyone warm. We also went for lunch and i got the fajitas which were great. My husband liked his burrito. Beautifully lit at night too. Loved it

Even though the outdoor area was super popular, we opted to sit inside to escape the August Sarasota heat, and the atmosphere inside was cozy and relaxed. Service was fantastic from start to finish--our waitress was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving seamlessly. We kicked off the meal with the smoked fish dip, which was so good, fresh, and refreshing with the saltines. But the real star of the table might have been their house hot sauce collection--specifically the Serrano sauce! It has such a unique, amazing depth of flavor and isn't your typical hot sauce. For the main event, the soft shell crabs were fried to absolute perfection: crispy on the outside while staying super soft and tender on the inside. The sides completely blew us away, too. The green beans were awesome, and the potato wedges drizzled with that Serrano hot sauce were incredible. Even the unique creamy dipping sauce that came with the basket was delicious. If you're looking for top-tier seafood in a fun, relaxed spot, don't miss Walt's!

My parents raved about Walt's and how wonderfully fresh it is, and we were excited to try. We were brought some smoked white fish spread to start out. I am not huge on smoked fish spreads but I did really enjoy it. We got the ceviche and hush puppies to start. I wouldn't get the ceviche again (shrimp and some white fish I don't remember), but the hush puppies were very interesting and we did enjoy them. For my entree I got the snow crab legs with the recommended seasoning. This was a great move. I loved the crab and with the seasoning it came with I didn't feel like I needed to use a ton of butter. My husband got the triple tail, being one of the day's featured fish. We weren't in love with it, but it was our first time trying triple tail so maybe we could've gotten something else. The atmosphere is great, with the fish market right there in the restaurant. There's a nice waiting area with bar access where you can even get some appetizers. The staff was cool and attentive. Would definitely come back to dine or shop!

Thanks to the recommendation of a total stranger, my husband and I finally checked it out earlier this week. Naturally, I had already done my due diligence by reading approximately 22 million Yelp reviews and looking at pics before walking in. I'd narrowed down my choices, but after chatting with our server, I went with the lobster burger. First of all- who decided to put the words lobster and burger together? It sounded confusing. And possibly unappetizing. Turns out, I owe whoever invented it an apology. The sweet server swiftly delivered a buttery brioche bun stuffed with big chunks of lobster, crisp lettuce, and a juicy tomato. I also requested a side of melted butter because...obviously. I feel like if there's lobster involved, melted butter is non-negotiable. Crispy fries rounded out the meal, and it was so ridiculously good that I pretty much unintentionally halted all dinner conversation to enjoy the party in my mouth. My husband ordered the ahi tacos with a side of duck fat fries. He inhaled every last bite of the tacos. They were piled high with fresh ahi and all the fixings, and the duck fat fries were rich and savory perfection- crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, exactly as fries should be. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with just a handful of tables inside plus some outdoor seating. I can definitely see this place being packed during peak hours and high season, so plan accordingly. We'll absolutely be back sooner than later.

The duck fries were amazing and the Steakhouse burger was tasty. My lady had one of their island bowls with shrimp and she enjoyed it. I can't say anything negative about this place. If I want to nitpick the establishment is located inside a strip mall and wedged in the corner between Birkenstock and a cafe. It is very small with inside seating for approximately 20 people and has some outdoor space as well. All in all a great place and worth going to.
