    "Broken TVs, Zero Accountability - See the Proof for Yourself" If you're thinking about joining this Lifetime Fitness location, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This place charges premium membership fees but completely fails to deliver even basic maintenance -- and they clearly don't care. See the attached photos: These are just two of the many bike machines stuck in the same frozen screen for over two years. Messages like "Cleaning things up... prepare for a reboot in 1 second" have been on display nonstop. Spoiler alert: they never reboot. They never work. And they never get fixed. I've contacted management multiple times over this span -- through emails, in person, and through staff. Crickets. No replies, no updates, no accountability. Just complete silence. It's obvious what's going on: management is happily pocketing members' money while refusing to invest in even the most basic equipment upkeep. For a company that markets itself as a "luxury" fitness club, this is nothing short of disgraceful. At this point, the broken TVs are more consistent than the gym's customer service. If you want working equipment, transparency, or a management team that actually responds to concerns -- look somewhere else. This place is running on autopilot, and no one seems to be at the wheel.

I pay way too much monthly to come into a one life gym that still has this style of equipment. Maybe because my home gym is for totten but this is ridiculous. This equipment is all older than this gym itself. The gym smells like a sewage drain. I legitimately had to work out with a shirt over my nose and ended my workout early because I couldn't stand it anymore. The layout of the gym is always chaotic as hell. Yes there's a lot of machines, they are all old maybe 10% of what's in here is "new". Studio has no fans, neither does group studio. That makes no sense to me. First time at this location, I unfortunately moved to this area, but I won't be coming back, I'd rather make the 25 minute drive to the Manassas location where is actually clean, and new equipment Editing to add that there is in fact not a single fan in this gym, even the treadmills, don't have a built in fan. Everything was very professional and the staff was totally on point. I expressed gratitude to Wayne who was appreciative, but he quickly passed the credit to the entire team. I asked Wayne to text me the info so I could send a positive review. His text spoke volumes as he listed all responsible, starting with Shawn, who greeted and provided guest access to the Penthouse. He listed the Bar Tenders: John, Owen and Rosstin; Ryan an Assistant GM; Josh, the Head Chef; and Karen, Penthouse Director. When I first joined, the experience felt aligned with the "luxury" brand they promote. The classes are still a highlight because they're engaging, well-run, and one of the main reasons I've stayed. I also genuinely like the bar area, and most of the food I've had has been solid. That said, the biggest issue for me, and it's a major one... is cleanliness. It's honestly disturbing to see the same stains on the gym floors day after day. I understand the flooring is a neutral color, but that's not an excuse for it to look visibly dirty all the time. The areas near the windows and equipment are especially bad. At $200/month, I expect a consistently clean facility, and that standard is not being met. The bathrooms are no better. The floors often look stained and unclean, and there are almost never toilet seat covers available in the women's restroom. It feels like basic upkeep is being missed regularly. The cold plunge has also been an issue!! I've gone to use it before and noticed a visible film, which made it completely unusable. That shouldn't happen in a facility marketed as high-end. On top of that, the staff isn't particularly welcoming or attentive, which adds to the overall disconnect between the brand and the actual experience. To be fair, not all of this falls solely on the gym.. many members don't wipe down equipment after using it. But that's exactly why there needs to be stronger oversight and more consistent cleaning protocols in place. During the summer, the rooftop pool gets extremely crowded. The pool itself is nice, but it's clear they need more staffing during peak months. Service becomes very slow, which takes away from what could otherwise be a great amenity. As someone who works in facilities and understands operations, this feels like a management issue. There needs to be more attention to daily maintenance, cleaning standards, and overall quality control. Right now, it simply does not reflect the luxury experience being advertised. I'm willing to give it a little more time to improve, but based on my experience so far, I would rate it a 2.5 out of 5

The manager took my information to send via text information about pricing, contract terms and conditions, etc. that I asked about when I walked in. I received only pricing information the same day (Wednesday, 6 Sep). I replied via text same day with thanks and asked if Joel was available the following week for the initial assessment and was told that if anything opened up, I'd receive a text (and that another trainer might be available). I responded that I didn't mind waiting for Joel and said the waiting list is fine, but could I get on the schedule for his next available opening -- just to be sure there was something confirmed on the calendar at some point because what if I couldn't make it to a spontaneous opening. I did not hear back. So I followed up via text two days later, Friday, 8 Sep... I kindly reiterated that I'm happy to have my name on a waiting list, but could I also just secure a date for an available time in the future -- even if it's a couple weeks away -- for the peace of mind ... otherwise I'd just consistently have to hope that something might open up and that my schedule would align (a likely challenge!). The manager responded and thanked me for my patience, again saying she'd try to get me in next week and that Joel is booked. AGAIN, I said that I didn't mind waiting, but could I Please. Just. Schedule. A. Known. Open. Slot. (in addition to the waiting list, fine). Once more, the manager either missed or disregarded my point entirely, saying once again that she would try to get me in soon and to be patient. Two and a half weeks later, and I haven't heard back since... Patience wasn't the issue -- I said multiple times that I didn't mind at all to wait (I didn't expect him to be available the next day!); I just wanted to secure a future spot without relying on the hope of a random opening. That's not unreasonable for a person with a full-time job. I spoke with a friend whose experience reflected a similar challenge--said that every week, it was a struggle to get on the trainers' calendars. Seems they've got plenty of business to keep everyone busy, so that's great for them as a small business in a competitive industry, but boy am I disappointed at this approach to business operations and (prospective) customer service. The whole 45 minutes of intense exercise is very well designed class, aimed to push you to the limit (not easy to do while coordinating 8 people and limited space) . Personal training for a reasonable price is excellent as well. The workout usually target whole body which is great (no separate leg or upper body days) Fusion beats the pretentious and $$$ Lifetime, where the classes are not during convenient time and expensive. The cheaper version to be considered is N-Zone - thats smelly other people socks though and not overly clean. Another choice perhaps would be a private friend-of-a-friend-woman-owned gym - a very questionable quality and fitness knowledge. There is no doubt in Fusion's trainers expertise - Joel and Anthony are extremely fit. Joel, Anthony and Gloria rock! Great business value proposition and fitness done right. XO
