I tried this place based on a friend's suggestion. It looks like a total dive on the outside but one thing I have learned from my 56 years is that sometimes these places have the best food! I got "the Dagwood" breakfast sandwich and homemade French fries and I can honestly say it was probably THE most delicious sandwich and fries I've ever had in my entire life! The sandwich has tons of meat! A nicely cooked burger patty and piled shaved ham, it was cheesy and had fresh lettuce and tomato, my taste buds were dancing in my mouth they were so happy! This place is super cute inside and definitely feels very country. It's hard to find because it's very hidden and looks unassuming, but once inside it's nice and cozy. The menu is not very big and is full of simpler breakfast options, but the prices are outstanding! The portion sizes are great, not huge like some breakfast spots, and the food was pretty good. When we arrived, it didn't look like they were even open due to the closed shades and old pub tavern look to the exterior but the neon open sign said different. We walked in and it was quiet with 1 other patron there and we were told to sit anywhere. The place could use an update, even for Kuntry. The menu is simple and the spelling on it was kitschy. AFFORDABLE! Nothing crazy but they do charge an extra 3% for using a credit card. I ordered an agg with biskits and gravy and I thought it was pretty good. If you didn't know it was here you would miss it! Off the beaten path this little breakfast/lunch spot was chosen for the breakfast spot on this chilly Sunday. I always judge a breakfast joint by their biscuits and gravy, and they were pretty darn good. Served with an egg for $6.99, hard to beat the price. Our server kept up with our table of 12, so that's not an easy task! Food was served hot and quickly, and everyone at the table seemed quite pleased with their selections. Great little gem in the heart of Pinellas County. We were looking for a place to have breakfast in the area. As I had to drop off my car for maintenance. We didn't want a chain restaurant. So we were driving and found this place. It's not much to look at on the outside, but don't let that fool you. Inside, we were greeted and seated right away. Good thing we got there early!!! Not your typical diner! The flapjacks are lip smackin yummy. Coffee is good too! The staff are always friendly and price is spot on if not underpriced for the food and service. The inside is a bit dated, but it works just fine. Kids are very welcome and patiently waited on. Great place and we will be back. read more

I have a very average feeling about this place. I don't wanna say anything negative but I also don't have anything overly positive to say. It's a hole in the wall small Diner which I am a fan of. They seem to be a bit understaffed, the service wasn't great but it wasn't the worst I've ever had which is about the same as the food in my opinion. It was very inexpensive. I am a little disappointed when I go into any restaurants and the staff is not wearing masks. they'll regret not wearing a mask if they wind up sick or losing a loved one because of Covid. But I'm certainly not going to tell somebody what to do and get into an argument over it. read more

The menu is so cute...kind of written in country dialect. First time I have seen a menu item of a grilled baloney omelette!! Hard to find location. Very cheap prices and nice portions. The two aggs and chopsteak ---full breakfast is less than 6 dollars!! I normally prefer lunch to breakfast and the staff is very accommodating no matter what time it is to bring out the dinner items!! The decor is right out of the backwoods of Kentucky or Dixie state. I'll drive many miles past any chain restaurant for a good, privately owned one. This one met my criteria and then some. It's just off Park Blvd and you'd never assume that it is even there. I had the Stake and Aggs, their spelling, as it is throughout the menu. Between the pancakes, eggs, breakfast sandwich, steak, biscuits and gravy shared with my family, there was nothing left to take home. Sausage gravy was great and the prices are as well. With tip, under $30 for a family of 3. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish it continued success. Despite all of my efforts to NOT giggle like an immature high school freshman at the spelling of the word "Kuntry", I have failed miserably. I just did it again...even typing it now brings back the smile... This place is a solid 3.5-star dining establishment, but gets carried to a 4-star for the rustic ambience and solidly yummy Kuntry™ Kooking. First, this place is the very definition of "hole in the wall". Hidden a couple blocks off 49th there's this restaurant with signage that appears to be naturally aged from 1974. Seeing the word Kuntry™ in such large lettering really takes you by surprise. I mean, let's be honest - it's VERY close to the 'C' word...closer than probably ANY other sign in the entire Tampa Bay region. We had to actually pause in the parking lot before going in as I could NOT stop laughing at the awesomeness of the sign. The interior seems to be from the same decade as the exterior signage. Also, all of the coffee cups are different - perhaps from thrift stores, a nice idea I've seen done at other places. The menu is an obsessive-compulsive speller's living nightmare. The Kuntry™ mythos carries through and literally EVERY food item is spelled "oddly". Sausage is spelled "sawsage", and so on. Almost every item has been Kuntrified™ in this manner. After I forced myself to accept it as quaint, I managed to be able to read it without my eye twitching. I ordered pancakes and bacon - both were quite good. The pancakes were very light and fluffy, with a dusting of powdered sugar. The bacon was cooked just right...not too crisp, and not a limp pork-rag either. I ordered a half-side of the biscuits and gravy and found it NOT edible at all (I had one bite)...it had ZERO flavor other than flour (but the biscuit itself was good, and appeared home baked). My girlfriend had eggs and potatoes (the hashbrown casserole she had was AWESOME and highly recommended) The service was 'Kuntry™ nice' and attentive...the place was packed on a Sunday morning with a wide variety of different folks. I was surprised that they accepted credit cards here...it looks like the kinda place that didn't cotton to that newfangled technology stuff. Worth a visit just to experience it...trippy! read more

While on vacation my wife and I found this place by doing a search on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. It's a pretty cool down home style restaurant with mismatched cups and silverware and old seating which we don't mind at all. It gives it that at home feeling. The food was just ok nothing really to write home about. It was your typical breakfast fare with food service pre made frozen stuff such as the chicken fried steak and biscuits. The only things home made that we could tell was the sausage gravy and the home fries. If your looking for a cool little hole in the wall place then this is it, but if your looking for home made from scratch look elsewhere. read more

It's definitely a place for the neighborhood older crowd.. The food wasn't bad, well most of it anyhow.. My son got an omelette, not good at all. I got country fried steak and eggs with a biscuit.. That was good. I ordered hash brown casserole. It came on my plate literally ice cold. That's really not an issue, things happen. We had two waitresses, one was friendly but the other one was not.. If I'd had been in a bad mood it could have been ugly..
