Ok, it's pricey but good. :) This place is a fusion of both Hawaiian food and Filipino food. Was greeted by the cashier. She was friendly. Ordered a loco moco and a breezy special with 3 meats. The choices I have picked out was chicken, longonisa, and Korean short ribs. Waited a good 15 mins to receive our food. We actually had a good view at the cook that was preparing our order. I hardly see my food being prepared, felt weird but intimate. They serve you a good amount. Not to much not too little, just right. The quality of food is superb. Great presentation! The food itself is delicious. I recommend this place to eat filipino food. There are alot of Asian eats in the surrounding food court. This has got to be a choice to try out. Located inside rodeo. Smash burger and tallow fries for 9.99 caught my eye. Fries were great. Burger was ok for the price can't beat it The combo plate breezy does it. Was just ok to me. Tried lil breezy for the first time because a friend recommended it. It's located inside Rodeo39. You order and then they'll text you when your order is ready. I came on a Sunday around 11:30 am and there were plenty of seats inside Rodeo39. I tried the smashed burger and fries. The burger was pretty good. It def tastes better than how it looks haha. It was almost closing time and we needed to get some food to go. Hubby was eyeing this spot and I ordered the pork adobo burrito and he got the loco moco. Food was VERY TASTY and flavorful! Very different . Now the service was ok...it took some time for someone to come to the cashier area, it would have been nice to have a "I will be right with you", but I knew eventually I would get served lol. Not much of an ambiance since it's located in a shared location, so can't comment on just that location. Of course overall ambiance at Rodeo 39 market place is amazing ! So you can just take your food to go and sit somewhere else (they did have some seating areas right by their location though). Didn't take photos cause we ate it all when we got home ;) read more

OMG what a delicious find!!!! I had the Pork Adobo and my friend had the steak. We both had garlic fried rice and the Mac salad. It was all delicious. I do have to say that I took some leftovers home and my adobo and rice was even better the next day. I can't wait to go back. I just wish they had lumpia on their menu.....maybe one day read more

The soy garlic wings were probably my favorite thing here. We also got the loco moco and a 3-item combo. It wasn't bad, but it definitely feels like the food is catered toward a white demographic. The potato salad lacked flavor, and the chicken adobo was just okay. The Filipino chicken was good, but the longanisa tasted store-bought. Even the garlic rice tasted like it was seasoned with garlic powder instead of actual garlic. The loco moco had the same issue, it just lacked flavor. The gravy tasted more like a penne pasta sauce than an actual gravy, and while the patty was a substantial size, it was dry and unseasoned. Overall, the menu is just catered to a very American palate. read more

Ordered The Breezy duo with Honey Basil Ribeye, Grilled Garlic Lemon Prawns and garlic rice. The rice was heavy on the pepper and a mild taste of garlic. Still really good. Ribeye was dry and a bit rough. It had bits of gristle. Heavy soy sauce taste; it doesn't feel like honey and basil. Bit into a sugar crystal. The prawns are grilled with garlic butter and a lemon on the side. Cooked nicely. Also got the Smash burger. Its good but nothing spectacular. Don't really taste the house sauce. The side of fries are crispy and soft on the inside. Its a good price for burger and fries; $10. Decent experience, however, there's some room for improvement. Staff was super friendly and attentive. This place was inside rodeo 39 so there was plenty of parking. The wait time was not bad, maybe 10 minutes or less! The cashier was very friendly & helpful. We got the breezy duo & for our meats had bbq chicken and the Longanisa. We also had the hula salad and the garlic rice. The vinegar sauce they gave us also was delicious on everything. My wife brought me here, and we absolutely loved the food! We also visited their other location, the San Juan Capistrano Breezy, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful tasting food there as well. The hospitality here is absolutely grade A, and we were continually impressed by their highly attentive service throughout our meal. This is a new filo-hawaiian spot in Rodeo 39, located in the left corner by the bathroom. They have rice bowls with longanisa, ribeye, and even shrimp. But the one that caught my attention was the loco moco which comes with rice and egg. This was actually surprisingly good, and I highly recommend it for anyone trying this spot for the first time. They also have this ube french toast which I'll have to try next time. I ordered the Breezy Does it, which lets you choose three proteins. I went with the garlic prawns, short ribs, and longanisa, and each one was outstanding. Hidden gem alert! I stumbled upon Lil' Breezy after driving by Beach Blvd and spotting Rodeo 39. A quick Yelp search told me it was a public market, so we decided to check it out -- and tucked away in the back corner was Lil' Breezy, a Filipino-Hawaiian fusion spot and it happened to be opening day! I hadn't been to their main restaurant, Breezy, but after this experience, I definitely will. I ordered their Jax Loco Moco, and let me just say -- I've been to Maui and Oahu and have tried many, many, many loco mocos across the islands... and this was hands-down the best I've ever had. The flavors, the texture, the balance of the gravy and the perfectly cooked egg -- everything was spot on. The gravy was definitely the MVP of the dish. So happy to have discovered this place. The food was very good. The service was more than amazing and what's not to like about the relaxed casual comfort of Rodeo 39. I had this white garlic wings, which were very good but certainly not in a caliber with the best that I've had, but again they were very well prepared, but they didn't seem to have as much soy or garlic as we normally meet my taste, but maybe that's just me. As far as the beef Hella fries I'm not really sure what the big deal is about the beef tallow fries. They were certainly fine but in my mind nothing super special but certainly fresh and well prepared. All the food was served hot and that was a plus. read more

Came in here on a Sunday, and surprised that a lot of shops at Rodeo 39 have closed down. I got the Kainoa Smash Burger! It was absolutely incredible, it had caramelized onions, pickles, and cheddar. It came with a side of tallow fries, which if you don't know are french fries cooked in beef tallow! It was only $9.99 which is super cheap in this economy. Everything is made fresh to order. The workers put our food away in very nice tupperware and napkins and the appropriate utensils and condiments. My boyfriend got the Island Chicken Bowl and he really enjoyed his food and it came with a side salad that had an orange vinagrette which was incredibly tasty!!! read more

Siopao was a new featured item and apparently they're known for their bibingka, so I added those as well because at this point, why not right? We have held a baby shower party for our daughter here and she and her husband were happy with the turnout and the outcome then. With such wonderful experience here, we decided to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday with a buffet lunch here last Saturday, July 25. I really appreciate the great collaboration through easy communication and coordination with Jenny, their manager here. She helped me ensure all went well from preparation to execution of the celebration. Almost all our guests raved about how good and delicious the foods were, even their lemongrass iced tea, which a lot of them loved. The costs were fair and reasonable as well as some special accommodations and a couple of complimentary food items by the owner for us for hosting our party here at their Mekeni Restaurant. Thank You and Kudos to the staff for their friendly, consistent, reliable and great overall service their crew and staff rendered to us that day. The team was headed by Jenny, Vanessa and Robert! Aside from the fact that they could have had more electric fans there that day to regulate the uncomfortable warm temperature inside the restaurant that day, everything else went very well and wonderful. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork belly is on the drier end, but it's small enough that it's not hard to eat. Nilaga - Good. Probably my favorite bite. It's seasoned well, the beef is soft, and there's a good amount of vegetables. Champorado - Decent. Shame that I didn't see the milk when I was getting it. Maybe they ran out, maybe they were refilling it as I was getting. Buko Pandan - Very good. Is it store bought? Maybe. It doesn't matter, still good. Service: You pay first before you're assigned a table. There are a lot of staff who are there to keep the tables clean and to mix the food every now and then to prevent the tray from drying out. Ambiance: Bright, spacious, and inviting. A very good place to have Sunday breakfast / brunch.

Other than the combo options, they do not have any posted prices of aka carte items or the prices of the individual small, medium and large containers. I asked how much a small is and the guy said it depends on the item. They should just have a set price on the S,M,L containers. Anyway I got the two item combo with Lechon Kawali and the tofu & Pork ears along with the small sinigang. When I went to pay it was $29.70. I should have questioned it, but instead I asked for a receipt. That didn't do any good because all they gave me was the charge receipt and not itemized. Later when the line dwindled down I asked again how much the small sinigang was and why did my $15.49 combo become almost $30.00? She said the small sinigang was $10.79. If I knew how much they were charging me I could have just ordered two of the two item combos or a single item combo and for about the same price I paid, I would have gotten more. That's Filipino service for you. If they cared about their customers, the lady could have suggested to just order a combo instead of the individual entree and I would get more value for the similar price. If there's a next time, I know what to do. If they aren't going to advice customers of the price because they don't show it posted for us to see, then I'll ask them for the price of each item and see if they get annoyed with me. The other annoying thing that happened is she asked if we were eating it there or to go and I said we would eat it there so she gave us one plastic fork and one spoon. The annoying thing is you have to go back to the counter and the line was so long and the two people there were both serving the customers ordering food, so I hate to be rude but I had to cut them off and say you only gave me one set of silverware, I need another. Also the other reason we don't eat here too often is they are only open six days a week and only from 7:00am to 2:00 pm each day.

I first tried Lil Breezy at their flagship spot in San Juan Capistrano and have been hooked ever since, so when I heard they opened here at Rodeo 39, I had to pull up. They're currently in their soft opening, but you'd never know it -- everything was on point. The best part? They're also the kitchen for Capo Craft, so you can pair next-level food with amazing craft beer. My personal favorite is the Jax Loco Moco -- unreal flavor, perfect comfort food vibes. But honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. The Smashburgers, fried pork belly, and tallow fries are out of this world. The food hits hard, the service is top-notch, and the energy matches exactly what Rodeo 39 is all about -- community, flavor, and good times. Trust me -- go once, go twice, go three times.
