My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

Burgers are a great option but that French Dip Is amazing!! Loaded with meat, SOFT BREAD, side of horseradish. and dipping in tasty au jus... perfect!! They have some fry options like seasoned, garlic parm, and spicy. The spicy fries have a great kick! And PLUS they are beef tallow fries. There's plenty of parking as well- street or lot. Specializing in whiskey, they also feature local brews from solid brewers like Paperback Brewing from Glendale. I tried the Bunny With a Chainsaw from Paperback - very smooth and easy drinking despite it being a double hazy IPA. If you're not into hoppy beers, this is the one for you. There were nine of us, so we used the outside patio area. Each table comes with its own QR code and you can have your own tab which makes it easy to order when you're in a large group. Lit up with outdoor patio lights with a cork oak tree in the middle, it's scenic enough with a casual, yet lively atmosphere. I ordered the fish tacos ($11) which came with two tacos, the fish itself was a frozen deep fried fillet, a bit on the tough side, however the rest of the taco fillings were fresh. Also tried the Brussels sprouts with balsamic reduction ($12) - these were done right! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Would come back to try out their other drinks and food!

They did my potatoes well done (which I requested) and my ice tea was refilled twice. Bread was served with the eggs which I used as a giant cracker for them. The pancake was ok. I asked them to make it chocolate chip and they very lightly sprinkled some in, despite me getting charged. It's not about the money. It's brunch. The very financial equation for brunch is horribly off from the customer side hahaha It's that when a big guy like me wants chocolate on his breakfast cake circle, load that thing up! No one is ordering pancakes to "kinda be bad." Lol It's cake. Syrup was awesome and butter was non-existent. Tiny little plastic butter lids. Hard as a rock. Get a ramekin of butter next time! You are doing your fancy glass bottle of syrup a disservice by its butter equivalent looking like the kid who didn't get picked for dodge ball. The ambiance was 10/10. I actually just changed it from 4 to 5 stars. Looked like a cool east coast breakfast diner. Smelled like coffee and sun. The manager or owner came in (fit skinny super tan guy) and knew several tables. Even started helping out with bussing and stuff because it was slammed. You love to see that.

Pros: free parking in the back, bartender is friendly, food is offered, space is large. Cons: food and drinks were bad, games were minimal, damaged, with pieces everywhere, staff was off putting Examples: - my friend ordered a hot chocolate and said it was the worst she's ever had. The water to powder ratio made it more like tea. She asked for more powder. They brought out a Swiss Miss packet, and made passive aggressive comments about how they were going above and beyond for her and they should charge her double (she's not a picky person so for her to complain you know it's bad) - we only found three games in the place but they were small plastic things like flick the ball into the hoop with all pieces out of the boxes and laying randomly under a tv tray behind a bar table - the food wasn't very good - the waiter didn't remember he needed my payment for the two hours I was there - the menu was basically non existent because their fryer was down and so they couldn't offer most items - it was dark and hard to see anything - the owner and her relative took over our hangout for around 30-40 min, asking us to bring in our "actor friends" and help them get more business.

For dessert, I recommend the split-- talk about decadent layers of flavors and textures! I need to learn how bruleéd bananas are made now, because that was a whole revelation. We also tried the flourless chocolate cake, which wasn't sweet and had a salty crust. It was a bit too grown-up of a set if flavors for the kid who ordered it. I loved the port soaked cherries that came with it, though. The berry shortcake was lovely, but didn't hold a candle to the split. Our server, Jenna, was lovely and took great care of us. It's a hell of a good time. I really enjoyed the chicken taco and carne asada taco. The meats were juicy and very flavorful. I also ordered their nachos, chili cheese fries and bread pudding. The nachos were made perfectly with the chips being thin and crispy. They used a couple different cheeses and the jalapeños were a nice touch. Definitely ordering it again, I can do without the chili cheese fries. It was good but it wasn't amazing. Their bread pudding was HUGE and I can see why it's one of the popular items here. I'll definitely recommend it to visitors and may even book a staycation for myself. Norm the bartender was friendly and attentive - engaging us with lively banter. I had the Bouquet of Roses - a refreshing combination of Kettle One Peach & Orange Blossom vodka, Lillet Rosé, Rosé wine, & peach purée. It was perfect for the summer evening. Te-See had the Spicy Passionfruit Paloma - minus the spicy. It was also very tasty. Anton also had the Paloma but spicy. I compared the two and liked the spicy version better.
