This burger was awesome and so were the fries!! I was visiting Seattle over New Year's weekend and I had my 15 yro daughter with me and my Son and his gf showed up to sight see with us. this was the first place I ate during my stay and by far was one of the best burgers I have had in awhile. The only reason, I'm giving it 4 stars is because we did have to bus our own tables..... but definitely ck this place out, staff is warm and friendly and the food is quite tasty and worth paying the little extra. :) read more

A great place to grab a substantial bite to eat on the way up the hill. Sometimes the wait for food is long and they used to be out of things on the regular menu from time to time, but seem to have grown out of that the past couple times I've been. Let me just say that I'm a huge fan of the midnight burger rendezvous, and Lil Woody's was no exception. Although it was pretty crowded at 12:30 on a Saturday night. Let me also preface this review with saying that I had barely eaten any dinner, in anticipation of this burger. And damn was it worth it. I got the Fig and the Pig burger, and start to finish it was delish. I was also a fan of their large variety of bottled soda. The fries were also good, but in my not so humble opinion you can get fries just as good, if not better, and half the price at Dicks. In terms of pricing this joint is neither too pricey or nice and cheap, but all in all the burgers are well worth the price, and I will definitely be coming back for more. read more

Way overrated! I could overlook the fact that this hole in the wall was filthy and I could overlook the fact that the guy behind the counter was rude when I asked for salt. But I couldn't overlook the fact that the fries were greasy and soggy and that the burger was tiny and just your average backyard burger off the barbecue. What a disappointment! read more

My shake (salty caramel) was way to salty, the home made queso and fries was way to much queso all over the fries, I foolishly assumed it would be on the side. The burger was ok, I didn't really taste the bqq sauce on it or the onion ring, but the fries were SALTY! Fries need some salt but when the amount is burning the mucus membranes of your mouth, that is too much. I think they were going for upscale Dicks feel but it falls short in delivery and is overpriced. For almost 15 bucks i can go to cleaner sit down place and have a better burger cooked to order. Or actually go to Dicks and get better fries, burger, and shake for $7. After weeks of searching for the best burger in Seattle, I think I found it here at Lil' Woodys!! I had the 1/3 burger with Swiss and caramelized onions. It was beyond tasty! This is my go to burger place, but only when I have the money. It IS on the pricey side, but you pretty much get what you pay for. Lots of good fries, a juicy burger with a variety of toppings (including peanut butter), and great milkshakes. I'd stay away from the lavender and the salted caramel shakes unless you like air freshener or salt shakes. read more

Great food! I went on a Thursday evening and had to wait a little in line but it went fairly quick (5-7 minutes). Worth the wait! I had a Pendleton burger, side of handcut fries, and Sub-Pop shake - all fabulous and would order again! (In all honesty, I would probably need to wait a few weeks because I am stuffed and didn't even finish it all! Definitely plenty to eat too!) My husband, sons and I were in the mood for burgers one night while visiting Seattle. This one had good reviews on Yelp so we stopped in. So glad we did - nice little hole in the wall burger restaurant - walked right up to the counter and ordered 3 Big Woodys and a Fig N Pig with French fries and onion rings. Burgers were freshly prepared with lettuce and big slices of juicy tomato on a soft full hamburger bun - fantastic! Fries were a little thin for our taste but there were plenty of them - onion rings were tasty with plenty of onion. Very satisfying meal - 4 big thumbs up! read more

My first time in Seattle I came here. Coming to the west coast I was hoping to eat an In N Out Burger one time because I always do out here but they aren't this far North. Lil Woody's burgers reminded me of In N Outs' but better quality and in an awesome little restaurant. If you order a basket of fries prepare for a challenge. This place is delicious. The burgers are not super expensive (all under $10) and definitely better than red mill, dick's, etc. Here's the thing: they sell delicious burgers at a reasonable price, and it doesn't take that long to get one. They're not trying to do more than that because they don't need to. I usually get it to go. If it bugs you that it's kind of dirty sometimes, then go somewhere with servers where you sit down, drink water, order and get the same thing for $14. Ambiance is factored into the price. Also: if you get your burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, don't get all butthurt when it's not "wrapped well." Buns are made for burgers, lettuce is made for rabbits. read more

This would be given a 4 1/2 stars but that doesn't exist. You walk in the shop and the atmosphere is awesome. The burgers are so delicious and juicy. The fries were crispy and salty the way I like them. The milkshakes were truly made from good milk and real dairy ice cream. My only complaint is the amount of profanity in the music playing. The music playing threw out the f-bomb and so on throughout the entire time. The music style is fine but cleaner music would allow a more comfortable atmosphere for some customers. The price isn't cheap but it is still very affordable around $10-$15 per person if you choose to drink water or if you want a shake or fries. Overall very happy with the food! read more

I've never had a *bad* burger at Lil Woody's. Even an hour old and out of a friend's backpack, they're amazing. I try the specials every time I go and some are more successful than others (PBJ burger? Good. Manchego and Romanesco burger GODSEND.) I'd love it if they got an AC though and maybe expanded the seating to at least be as accommodating as Ballard. read more
