Excellent neighborhood deli! Cute little spot on the corner, usually quiet with hushed music playing. They have seating available inside and outside. Expect longer wait times during the lunch rush on a weekday, but it's worth it! You can also call ahead to place an order, then pick it up - which has become my preferred method. I always get the Reuben with cheddar and my other half, the Jeff Special. They are always generous with the deli meat on them. I usually eat half and save the rest for later. Besides sandwiches, they also have a variety of other lunch sides, snacks, refrigerated drinks, household items, etc. It's very convenient if you just need a couple things and don't want to drive over to a full grocery store. The sandwiches were really good!! They were packed with meat and toppings that we selected. There was good bread to meat ratio and the sandwich was not soggy. The two stars is because, while we were ordering, the gentleman behind the counter was very rude. In the middle of my husband deciding, he proceed to the next customer. The next customer was very courteous and told the gentleman we were not done ordering. After ordering our sandwiches, we continued to shop around the store to bring stuff back to our hotel room. In the midst of shopping, we look over to the sandwich counter...Brace yourself...the gentleman was sitting on top of the microwave with his dirty a*s shoes on the counter!!!!! We kid you not!! Everything here is on point! I'll start with the owner...or the man at the counter. He just has a fantastic energy. Incredibly friendly, and great intuition and suggestions. Every time I've been in, it's been this same level of service. The store is also fantastic for a little corner bodega. Great variety. Been here a few times now and it's consistently good. We usually get a couple sandwiches and maybe a side. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. The chipotle chicken sandwich has a nice kick and is probably my favorite. The one criticism is that they aren't always consistent with what bread they use. You can order the same sandwich on different days and you may get it on different bread. If you know what kind of bread you like more, make sure to request that. read more

The most underrated sandwich shop in Seattle! They make incredible, huge sandwiches that are way too inexpensive. I used to come here all the time when I worked nearby, and the "Italiano" sandwich is my favorite! I get the impression that it's family-owned, and the staff are warm and very welcoming. I hadn't got in over a year, but the clerk still remembered me and wanted to make sure I had their punch card! He's always pretty exuberant and you can tell he loves his job. Other than that, they have a huge selection of wine from cheap to luxury and in between. They have a myriad of snacks, drinks, etc. Pretty much everything you'd want in a sandwich shop/convenience store. The full-size Italiano sandwich is just about $8.50 after tax - what a steal! Delicious! Exactly what I want in a sandwich. The young man making the food was so delightful. He knew I was stressing about my dog alone outside and said I could bring him in. They have the items that I need and the cost is really good. This is a such a wonderful sandwich shop/convenience store combo! This is the 2nd time coming here after moving to Seattle a month ago. I love that you can really taste that tartness from their Dijon mustard. I definitely recommend the Yamaha as it has a nice extra kick for those who like hot and spicy food. Unlike CA, the scene for Mexican street food is non-existent here so these tamales are the closest thing. BUT, they do NOT disappoint! The sandwiches are good Boars Head sandwiches you often see at other Seattle local deli markets (although the types of sandwiches seem different here, plus you can always "make your own" custom sandwich) - and it's nice to be able to pick up quick items you may need without going to a major supermarket. That all said, the people are why there are 5 stars. They are so friendly! I ordered a sandwich and decided to sit and work for a bit in the deli (they have some tables for customers). The guys working there went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable - even providing their business WiFi to me so I could be online (even though I didn't ask for it - they saw I was searching for networks). When people are genuinely caring about your experience in their business - it really means a lot. Love this deli! They are a cute little store in a friendly neighborhood. They are always open when needed and the staff is extremely nice. They even have gluten free bread! Which is what drew me to them to begin with. I live in the apartment complex that this store is attached too, and they even deliver to my apartment.
