    Halo halo
    Yvonne V.

Great option at food court of mall. Cafeteria style setting. Ordered the 1 combo option which included choice of rice, pancit or half/half. Opted for the chicken adobo and everything tasted so authentic! Forgot to take a picture of the combo but got one of my halo halo which was also delish! Service was friendly and quick.

This place is very clean. Service is superb. They are all too friendly. The serving is decent for the price. And the food preparation is very authentic. Can't beat the price.

Love Lilian's Bread & Sweets and we are so happy that they opened up this location on Nordhoff & Sepulveda. Since they opened we frequent this place. They not only offer delicious drinks and traditional Filipino food, they also provide excellent customer service. The ladies that make our drinks and assist in prepping with our food orders are always pleasant and courteous. Always with a smile along with the, "Good afternoon po". The chicken and pork barbecue is a must try. Very flavorful and not too sweet just the right amount of seasoning. The lechon kawali always fresh and crispy and not all fat. As for their hopia mongo, it is the best hopia mongo in the SFV. Also if you haven't tried their chicken empanada and turon (filled with banana and jackfruit), you're missing out. Last but not the least their Mangonada, mango boba, taro boba, cookies & cream boba and Thai Iced Tea has the right amount of flavor. The drinks and boba are really good and not too sweet. Mangonada is filled with mangos on the top while the cookies & cream boba is just the right amount of Oreos. Thai Iced Tea you can taste the tea and not the cream nor sugar which is how I'm normally like my Thai Iced Tea not too sweet. Lilian's Bread & Sweets is our go to place to satisfy our Filipino food & desserts cravings.

    Molds

I went there today but food for dinner around 5-ish and the other food was ok but this desert is real bad... got molds on it and they have it out next to the cashier I guess they don't check if it's still ok or not. So costumer pay attention to what you buy/get...

I have to say I am a little torn about this review. Having not had much Filipino food I am not sure what to expect and the service was not what I had hoped it to be. When I walked in I asked what dishes were chicken since I'm not used to eating Filipino food. They looked at me and with such a long pause finally said, well the chicken adobo has it. He didn't bother to say anything else and I figured it was going to be a long day if I had to ask about each thing I looked at. None of the dishes had a label and the menu, I'm not sure where it even was. The screen behind him was off. After I tried my best to look at the other stuff and try to figure it out, I had the chicken adobo platter with have rice and noodles. The chicken pieces were primarily bones. I was a bit confused because I dont know if that's how it's supposed to be done. It was flavorful and the meat was tender but dang, those bones were such a let down. The rice and noodle side dishes were delicious and cooked perfectly. Now, I couldn't tell you for sure but the person who assisted me "thought" it was pork in the noodles, but it would have been nice to know for sure since he worked there. I also had a chicken empanada and lumpia, I hope I remember that right and some coconut mochi type bites. The coconut bites were also a let down because he described them as filled with coconut but it was a dense coconut dough glazed in carmelized sugar. It was not my favorite and I was let down at the first bite. The empanada was good. I was surprised as I have never had raisins in one before. It cuts the richness of the filling. The lumpia was ok, I guess I am not a plantain fan though. Overall, I would love to have had more explanations of dishes versus just having my pronunciation of a single word corrected. Service overshadowed the food in this case. Can't say that I will be back.

Food is good, but doesn't warrant the price. A three item combo is $17. Most likely my first and last.

The halo halo is the best I've ever had around the valley. The service is great and the ambiance is like a fast food joint.

The cafe is 2 floors with lots of seating, both upstairs and downstairs. Definitely a great spot to study, get some work done, or catch up with friends. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey Latte and the Popcorn Chicken. My drink came out pretty fast, while the popcorn chicken took around 10 minutes. I loved the latte! The earl grey flavor was strong, so it was definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken was definitely different from the Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken I was expecting. The texture was more like mini chicken tenders or nuggets than the usual crispy, popcorn chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and had less breading. Not bad at all, just different from what I expected. Pricing is also not bad, especially for the portions. I parked in the back lot, but there's also free street parking. Overall, I really liked the space and would definitely come back to try more of their drinks!

He ordered the K-style toast and I got the tteokbokki--both were absolutely delicious! Word of caution: I completely missed the warning on the menu stating that the tteokbokki is meant for two people. They were definitely not kidding, and I couldn't even finish it! The setup here is super student-friendly. They have free water available, plenty of tables, a bathroom, and even an upstairs area we didn't get to check out yet. We stayed for about two hours and got so much done. Just a heads-up that it does get a little busy, so if you need absolute silence to focus, it might not be for you. But for us, the background buzz was perfect. We will definitely be back for future study sessions!
