Came here for a much needed manicure aka polish change. Cute little salon that's nice and clean. The lady who did my nails was wearing a mask so I felt more comfortable. The color she picked looks terrible on my nails and she didn't file them very well either but she was sweet. By far, the WORST manicure of the month!!! Went in for a pedicure with a friend. We both paid extra and got the one that includes a 15 minute massage. I started the timer on my phone when the technician started the massage and she was finished in less than 5 minutes. I called her on it, and she insisted it was 15 minutes and that I just wasn't paying attention. I told her again that it was not 15 minutes, but she insisted that it was. I decided I didn't want to embarrass my friend who was with me and let it go, but I won't be going back. If you decide to try their services, use a timer. read more

My nails looks alright but my fingers had cuts and sores from the drummel tool the man used when applying my acrylic nails. I had scabs around my nail beds for over 7 days. I wouldn't have paid to have my nails done if my hands wouldn't end up all cut up looking like this. Not pretty. I paid $50 to get a full set. There is an extra charge of $5 if you want nails longer then pic below. An extra $3. to pay with a credit card. Tip is also expected. In this economy it's a real luxury to get nails done. It pains me to leave a bad review for a company after they provided good service. I was ripped off by this shop. I asked for a normal pedicure, looked at the little menu board and specifically picked out pedicure only. As I was leaving, they charged me $5 more for some type of a scrub. A service I did not request. It made me feel very uncomfortable not to pay them the $5. Then the lady that worked taking money had the audacity , to take the $5 that I overpaid and give it to the nail person as a tip???? The customer service is okay, they're very nice and sweet. But my nails came out horrible. I had a gel mani and pedi. My cuticles weren't done and the polish was horrible and uneven. I really hesitated to leave a review because they're so sweet, but it's been a week and my nails are chipping and looks like if I did this on my own. Also paying $70 for this is ridiculous. I was in San Juan for a meeting and I noticed this place was open. I'm not from the area, I drove down from Costa Mesa. Without looking at the reviews I decided to try it out. The women who were doing my nails were nice, but the woman who did my manicure did a terrible job. She rushed through a gel manicure and told me the only reason why my nails looked so bad was because they were so short and that I need acrylics.. my nails were bumpy and uneven. I had to ask her to put one more coat on to cover up the streaks she left which she tried to act like she didn't even see. Once it was time to pay, I gave them my card and they told me they weren't accepting cards at the moment. I panicked. I thought I missed a sign or something. Nope! No sign indicating this. They told me to go to Rite Aid to get money from the ATM, but I only had my credit card. They told me I could come back the next day to give them money which, fine, but it's the fact that I'm from Costa Mesa, and I had to take the time to drive back down all because they couldn't take the time to put up a sign stating that they would not be taking cards as a form of payment. When I went back the next day, still no sign. I was going to let all this go and just never go back, but not even two days go by and my manicure is chipping. I feel so ripped off by this place. I was so excited because It's been months since Ive been able to get manicure/pedicure, but this whole experience was a huge waste of money. read more

I'm not sure how to review Lily Nails. I think they are better than the other nail places in the center but it's been hit or miss so far. If they are too busy, they turn you away which has happened twice so far. The last time I had my nails done, I got gels and she used the regular polish by accident. After sitting through the whole process of the LED light after each coat the polish rubbed right off. She had to start again so the job was terrible and took twice as long. The time before, everything was great and I loved my nails. The girls are definitely nicer than Club Nails and the décor is more upscale. read more

I came here for a manicure and within two days 2 of my nails had horribly infected cuticles. They were red, inflamed, oozing pus and extremely painful. I immediately started soaking my nails in warm water with epsom salt and applying antibiotic ointment. Within another couple of days, all 10 of my nails were painful, inflamed and red. After seeing my medical provider I was told in addition to what I was already doing, to also apply an anti fungal ointment. The pus has gone away, but my cuticles are still extremely, red and swollen. This has been going on for almost 10 days. I have made another doctors appointment to see if oral antibiotics are necessary. Most of the people who work here speak poor English or they feign the knowledge of basic English. This is their way of not having to deal with the situation. I called the health department and not only does the establishment need to be licensed, but each operator needs a cosmetology license. I doubt this is the case and I don't think they are following proper procedures for sterilizing their equipment. STAY AWAY!!! read more

The girl glued nails on crooked when I pointed it out she said she'll fix during filing (you can't fix during filing) she was pissed when I asked her to remove them and put the two back on straight. I get started on 15 minutes before my friend and she stops before painting them to go do someones pedicure telling me I have to wait for my friends nails to be finished and the person doing hers will finish mine. So now I am here waiting 20 minutes for her to be finished and I can't even get my pedicure. UNPROFESSIONAL. Finish what you start. Definitely wasn't handled correctly Update: 1 day later and 1 nail has already popped off. This is the first time this has ever happened to Update: 4 days later 3 nails have popped off 4 more are lifting from the bottoms and my pinky nails hurt I've never had this many nails fall off in such a short span of time from getting them down ever. Will be going on Monday to have them just remove them all. They're obviously either using cheap product or don't know how to do nails or both.. Been going here for over 15 years. Sometimes they are in a rush and I've gotten several burns on my cuticles from the dremmel. In the last few months, I started using a credit card to pay the bill. Tom insisted on charging me $1.00 extra because he wants me to pay what the credit card company charges him. I said that's the cost of doing business, but they insist on cash or check. I believe it's because they don't want to declare the income. When I gave them checks, they never wanted me to put Lily Nails on the payee line. Probably one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. They weren't very warm or friendly, they didn't spend but 15 minutes on both me and my sister. Very short, very weak message. I mean it was like, the least amount of effort I've ever seen anyone put on a pedicure. I got callous removal and you would've thought she was scrubbing an egg she did it so soft. It was just bad. The "sea salt" scrub was more like gel and again the weakest effort ever.
