This place is always a favorite of mine. The chicken is the best, I go for the half and always have more to take home (or for lunch the next day). The Jasmin rice is always perfect, never over/undercooked. The ceviche mixto is heat for appetizer for a group or it's own entree. Staff always greets you at the door and can get seated right away. read more

Sometimes the rating is about how they fix mistakes. Naomi was our server and she misunderstood our order. We were waiting for what felt like forever for our second dish. When we finally realized that it wasn't ordered, she told the manager about the mistake. Rudy, the manager, took exceptionally good care of us. I can't tell you how impressed I am about the service. And the dish was absolutely worth the wait. Thank you Limon. The food was amazing and you took excellent care of us. read more

We had Naomi as a server and she was amazing. She was so sweet and brought my dog water without having me ask her! She took care of us and that made my experience at Limón 10/10. Shoutout to her, she deserves all the recognition for her hard work and effort to making her customers feel welcome and taken care of :)) read more

AMAZING food and Ambiance. Love going there on a Friday night. Make a reservation if possible since wait can be long during busy hours.

This was my second restaurant during COVID with outdoor dining. It was a nice day and they took up some parking spots for their outdoor seating. The tables were slightly distanced. They had a no-contact menu with a QR code you can scan and view the menu on your phone. They also had no-contact payment which was convenient. I was impressed! All the staff were wearing masks which made me feel at ease. We ordered the lomo, 1/4 chicken with yucca and rice/beans (I forget what it's called on the menu). We also tried their chicharrón which was just okay. It was just fried boneless chicken, I was expecting something slightly different. For dessert, we shared the panna cotta and melted chocolate cake. Both were delicious! Loved the fruit and extract on the panna cotta. Walnut Creek is also offering free parking in public garages which is always a bonus! The overall experience here was safe. Great outdoor ambiance. read more

Absolutely delicious! We ate outside and Wilfredo gave us amazing service and suggestions. We started with Ceviche Mixto Classico with a side of taro chips which we loved and followed that up with Saltado Mar & Tierra (surf & turf) which was amazing and so flavorful! We'll certainly be back!! read more

I was really excited to try this place out but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. This was my first time having Peruvian food so I was hoping to get a better experience than I did. Firstly, I made a reservation on a weekday and when we arrived they had placed us right next to the door which was an inconvenient spot considering we had made a reservation and there were plenty of open tables along the wall with pillows that are more comfortable. I asked to be moved and they said they would see if they can move us. So they ended up moving us but kept us with the same server which threw things off because I don't think we were in his section so we barely saw him. I needed a couple things throughout the dinner and wasn't able to flag him down in a timely manner and had to ask other servers. Second, I ordered the Lomo Saltado with high expectations but my beef was so tough! Literally had to chew so hard to eat it. I was really hoping for tender, fall apart meat. But it was really overcooked which made it unpleasant to eat. On another note, there were some positives. My wife ordered the Arroz con Mariscos which was pretty good but she wished the rice was cooked a little more. The ceviche mixto and the tres leche were both really good. I ordered two different sours - Pisco and Lychee which were both great. My wife's favorite thing here was the French fries which is pretty underwhelming for such an expensive meal. My guess is I got a bad batch of the Lomo Saltado and the service was just off when we went. The reason for the two stars is because the food and service didn't seem worth the price tag. Will maybe give this place another try, I wanted to love the Lomo Saltado so bad!! read more

Chill cool spot with great food options. Peruvian food tastes good. I really like the kale salad too.

One of the best places we ever tried. Their food is extremely delicious. If this is the Peruvian cuisine, it is our new favorite cuisine. Everything is cooked perfectly. Service is superb, from the waiters to the manager, they make sure to be around all the time. The look of the place is a luxurious fancy restaurant. It is a high end place. This is a place where no matter what the bill is, it is 100% worth it. read more

Service is good and food is amazing! Wish it was kind of bigger since they always full or have a lot of reservations.

I've eaten at Limon Walnut Creek 3-4 times before, always great food quality and a lively atmosphere. This weekend's meal took an odd twist with the server and support crew - in total they must have stopped by the table 12+ times to ask "ready to order?" "are you done with that?" "Can I take that away?" "Here's the check, no rush" (and then hover past 2-3 times) While I appreciate attentive service, this felt very rushed and that the expectation was we eat and leave quickly so the restaurant could seat another party. Not exactly a welcoming experience where we are encouraged to enjoy the food and beverages with friends! So my recommendation to the team at Limon - please coach your staff on how to interact with guests in a way that balances our enjoyment of the restaurant with the business side of table turns and revenue per hour. Thanks read more

Wonderful visit to Limón for late lunch on a Wednesday, so it wasn't very busy and we got seated immediately. Food was so good! We had the Ceviche Limon as an appetizer and Pisco Sours to drink, and then I had the Arroz con Mariscos, and my partner had the Pollo A La Brasa. Our server was Wilfredo and he and the rest of the staff provided excellent service. We would definitely come back, but heard it can get quite busy -- though the wait would be worth it! read more

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner last night. It was both of our first times. The Pica Rico Ceviche was AMAZING. And we also got the pollo and Lomo Saltado- everything tasted cooked to perfection. La Chicha Morada sour was delicious and very well balanced! Wilfredo, our server, was extremely hospitable to us and you can tell he's been in the restaurant industry for a long time. As a server, I always notice the small things and I really appreciated the extra mile Wilfredo took to not only explain and go over the menu, but the kindness he showed us- despite how busy it was. Thank you for an amazing experience and we will definitely be back :) read more

Omg where has this place been? Why oh why isn't there one in every town? The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing and actually tasted like a well done libation should, not watered down or tons of ice with a pinch of liquor. Our server Chris was so nice and hospitable, our food came so fast... and so tasty we had almost one of everything (no lie) and had a tough time choosing favorites. Inside decor is rustic and modern and chic, the servers were so nice cuz here everyone was helpful just a well rounded establishment! Parking best at one of the lots, they're always busy so maybe make a reservation! Will def return! read more

Overtime seems like this place gone down in food quality, their chicken use to be very good, now it's fine. Always loud and little pricey just for chicken read more

One of our favourite spots in Walnut Creek. Everything we've had here has been good. The ceviche is fresh and the leche de tigre is on point. With the big pieces of hominy and those crispy, thin taro chips. We got the sampler platter this time and it came with arguably the two best things here. Those empanadas were perfect. The filling was flavourful. The wrapping wasn't doughy. It was crispy and light. The best time of the night we're this chicharrones. Wow. Crispy but still tender. With the yellow aji sauce. I can eat a pound of these. The Mac n cheese was ok but nothing special. For the entrees, the lomo saltado was good. Beef cooked well, crispy fries, flavourful sauce with the rice. The lengua was tender, cooked to perfection. The octopus was cooked really really well. It was so tender but charred enough on the outside. With the sauce and the mash potatoes, really nice dish. The service at limon was subpar. The waiter made my husband and I feel rushed when ordering but it was probably only the one specific waiter. The food was very tasty however it was cold for both the lengua and the octopus. I was under the impression The portions would be larger for the price which was disappointing. The beef empanadas paired with the yellow sauce was the perfection combination. read more

Limón - Ceviche mixto ricotto - Peruvian Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

This weekend was mine and my brother's birthdays so we decided to eat at a Peruvian restaurant with the family. We had never come to Limón before so we decided to try it out since it had good reviews. There was 12 of us so I made sure to make reservations through the Yelp page and also called the restaurant 5 hours before the reservation to make sure they could accommodate us for our 8pm reservation. When we got to the restaurant at 8:05pm I told the hostess my name, the number of people and the time of our reservation to make it easier for her to find. The first thing she asked was if I made it for the right location because she could not find the reservation. I double checked the address and phone number and showed her and her coworker the text and email confirmation for the reservation. After a few minutes they said the reservation was there and that it had been overlooked and that they would be putting tables together for us. Not a big deal at all to wait a few extra minutes but usually for reservations tables have already been set up with chairs, napkins and utensils but I let it slide. At some point my mom and aunt let them know that we were celebrating birthdays for this dinner. After we were all seated, our waiter came over to introduce himself. He seemed very nice and asked us if we were ready to order any drinks or appetizers. He went around in order to make sure he got everyone's drink orders correctly and after we received our drinks he did the same for everyone's meal orders. Once we had all received our meals we continued to chat amongst ourselves and enjoy our food because it was pretty good. We saw a couple tables with employees gathered around for the people who were also celebrating birthdays which reminded my mom and aunt about their birthday mentioning for my brother and I. Towards the end of our meal we were finishing up and asking for boxes so when the waiter came back my mom asked about any desserts for the birthdays being celebrated and waiter informed her that the kitchen had closed and offered to have workers come over to sing... So my mom said never mind and asked for the bill. When the bill came she noticed that on the receipt we had been charged for 3 plates of Lomo Saltado which is beef stir fry. We had only ordered 2 plates of Lomo Saltado and 1 plate of Pollo Saltado (chicken stir fry). So when my mom brought this up with the waiter he told her that it was okay because the dishes were the same price and that it didn't matter. Now at any restaurant any could tell you that chicken dishes are cheaper than beef dishes. So when I heard him tell my mom that they were the same price I immediately pulled up the menu to double check the prices. I quickly saw that the difference was $4/$5 which is not a super big deal but I did not like the way the waiter completely lied to my mom. After I showed her the menu pricing difference for both dishes my mom asked the waiter again and showed him that on the menu the prices for the 2 dishes were not the same. His answer was "Well okay yeah if you want I can change it." So my mom replied "Yes I do want that." Honestly the food was pretty good, but the service just kept getting worse throughout the night so we will not be going back. read more

The service was really good I loved my server. Super sweet and friendly. It had quite a few spaces open for seating so we didn't have to wait! We went to Limon to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we walked in, we were met with an incredible round of noise coming from all directions. The hostess offered us a table outside on the patio, which was quieter, and we grabbed it. Our waiter was extremely nice and was flabbergasted when we told him what anniversary we were celebrating. We ordered a ceviche - which was amazing - and a couple of drinks. We also ordered our main courses, but told the waiter that we didn't want them to come out until after we had finished our appetizer. We were in the midst of enjoying our appetizer when a server showed up with our main courses. I told her that we weren't ready for them yet and sent them back. A while later our waiter came back and we told him what happened and he apologized. After we finished our ceviche, the server again brought our mains. It was obvious that they had just been kept warm in the kitchen. My wife's paella-type course was very hot, but my whole fried fish was lukewarm at best, which, while it was tasty, it was soggy. We expected a better meal - and we should have had one. Maybe next time. read more

This place is fantastic! You'll have to find either street parking or pay to park in the near by parking structure. There is outdoor seating or indoor seating and I think even seating upstairs. Beware of a wait because this place gets busy! The vibe inside is very trendy. This would be a great date night spot but it can get kinda loud because there's a lot of tables. The waiter was very nice and checked on us often. Offered flat or sparking water. I ordered the La Valentina cocktail, it's sweet, refreshing and almost tasted like juice. For an appetizer, I had the ceviche mixto. This was really good, the seafood( shrimp, squid and fish) was fresh and the lime juice was flavorful. Pay the extra for the taro chips because it went so well with ceviche! For my main, I had the Arroz de Mariscos. I've never had Peruvian food before but man was this delicious! It's a Peruvian paella and it was so flavorful and the seafood was fantastic. I would come back for this dish. Also the portion size was pretty decent, I even got to take home leftovers! Overall, this place was amazing! 100% recommend! read more

Great ambiance. Good service too. The Bistec a lo Probre' was SO delicious!! I also tried the empanada trio with their sauces. Compared to other empanadas I've had from Nicaragua or Puerto Rico, they just weren't as good; but not bad. I also enjoyed the white rice with the corn. Definitely worth coming to and checking out the Happy Hour too as it's in a great location. read more
