Kiin Imm Thai has lots of pluses. First, the interior is cute and cozy with a neighborhood bistro vibe. Second, the service was excellent. We tried the Ka Prow Chicken ("basil stir fry") at level 2 spiciness and Pad See-Ew beef at level 2 spiciness. Both were delicious with a side order of brown rice. However, if we could go back in time, I think we would have ordered a Level 1 mildly spicy version of Pad See-Ew instead. Overall, the highlight of the meal was dessert (Mango and Sticky Rice), which we both devoured and is . highly recommended if you're dining in. Finally, Metro garage parking was free on weekends!

Sounds delicious? That's because it is. The tastes of soft pastries were good, good good, good good. I enjoyed my Curry Puff without the vinegar sauce myself. However, if there were an option, I would dip it into a blue cheese sauce or ranch dressing sauce. This might be looked at as sacrilege to die hard culinary enthusiasts, yet as they say, "varieties of spice of life." Veggie Spring Rolls $7.65: These three little pigs are not made if Pork incase you are confused. The are stuffed with Glass Noodles, Cabbage, Carrot, Celery, Taro and served with a Sweet & Sour Pineapple Sauce. This tasty appetizer was good, but I felt a pork option would greatly impact my taste buds. Guess I am a carnivore at heart at times. Kanom Jeeb Dumpling $8.75: Five Pieces of Minced Shrimp , Chicken, Cilantro, Corn, Garlic, Scallion wrapped in a thin Wonton Skin and steamed or deep fried to perfection?! It is also served with a Honey Soy Sauce. However, I can not remember having this on the second day. Nevermind, I went back to Kiin Imm Thai Restaurant to try this dish. Unfortunately, did not find it very good. This dish had some taste; however, this item is in the big leagues, just trying to get up that hill. It failed in my opinion. Crispy Duck Rolls: $9.95 I had forgotten what Duck tasted like. Yet , prepared in the right hands, The Crispy Duck Rolls are sensational with flavor. Donald Duck, Daffy Duck and Darkwing Duck and Daisy Duck and even Scrooge McDuck would not be amused at the thought of eating duck...on second thought, most of them would most likely join in eating poultry. Some would be appalled, disgusted, repulsed, revolted, sickened, appalled, and nauseated...yes, Its so not nice I said it twice. I find this dish to be shocking, thrilling, spectacular, stunning, magnificent fantastic dramatic, superb and FABULOUS! The seasoning of the Crispy Duck Rolls is prodigious. The Duck sauce (if that's what it was) in one word to describe it..Kafkaesque. Personally, I thought about not getting my next order of it without sauce. I quickly abolished this idea, because the Duck Rolls need the small amount of sauce that goes on it. The Crispy Duck Roll melts in your mouth so to speak. It is the best appetizers I had on the second day of coming to this restaurant. I will be ordering The Crispy Duck Rolls again. Probably this coming Monday April 27th 2026. I look forward to trying out a few more items on the menu, or at the very least, some repeats items. 4/27/26 Okay, for the second time upon entering this business, I noticed the short haired lady who sits at service table is giving me the stink eye. I have come to think of her as Jabifa since I don't remember her name. If Jabifa's problem with me is the changing of a few items on the food menu, requesting no sauce on the food or not have the food spicy, then she is in the wrong business of food service. Speaking of food, I noticed the Nom Nom Pork Strips were different this time around. They did not look like the ones I had the last two times. They looked like the The Grilled Pork Skewers, but without the Skewers with less flavor than the last two times I had them. Ohh things have changed, but hopefully this is a fluke. We will see what happens within the next two times I revisit this business. Until that time, the overall experience for this place is a four star level. If Jabifa's stink eye continues, we might be at a 3 star for ambience and service. Nevertheless, the food itself is at a five star level.

For entrees, everyone needs to try the coconut curry risotto. The creamy rice seems like there's a gallon of cream. So full of flavor, this was the hands down winner. Short rib pappardelle is good and solid but you can get similar at other good restaurants. My drink was excellent as well. There is a mandatory 20% fee added for service that is split amongst the service staff. Anything above goes to the server. This was well explained when paying. Bar area looks inviting inside. Bathrooms had air dryers (boo)

Favs and must try -- seafood cha gao is delicious with the combination of lettuce wrap, basil, mint. It's a perfect bite flavor wise. The green papaya seafood salad is also good but not as Caesar-ey as I wish. But again, still yummy! Coconut curry risotto is a delicious new take on risotto. This has a lot of flavor and is cooked perfectly. Lobster garlic noodles-- no complaints here, it's delicious! Meh dishes-- chili wontons are nothing special, and the short rib paparadelle wasn't good IMO. Parking isn't the best but I usually find a spot in the garage and the restaurant has a discount code so don't pay for the parking until you get into the restaurant and use the discount code at the host stand. The restaurant is very pretty, good for date night or girls night too!

I came here getting the kogi steak and cheese. For around $8, you get a decent sized sandwich that taste really good! The kogi steak was pretty tender and Sandwich bread with it was toasty. It's definitely a must try for steak and cheese fans who want to try a bit of kbbq mix. The sandwich also came with kettle chips which was pretty nice. I would say one of the biggest downside is that the restaurants building just started to charge for parking. So the best place to park is the parking garage that offers free 30 min parking. Though they prepare the food fast, I highly recommend coming either early or after lunch rush since the line can build up.

Banban is another one of those sushi "bowl" places. However, unlike all the other poke places,…read moreBanban has been open for years, and is much less trendy and more straightforward. Personally, I like that much more because there are no crowds of teenagers and the no frills vibe suits its surrounding environment better. It's tucked away in an office park. In and out is easy. Just place your order at the cashier first, then wait until they call your number and pick up your food at the counter where they assemble the food, underneath the menus. Next to that counter are additional condiments like Sriracha. There are some chairs and tables to eat at, but it's more of a takeout place than a sit-down restaurant. While they're open for breakfast, I have only eaten here after 11:00am, so my review is for their lunch, and specifically their sushi bowls. I've posted pictures of 3 different kinds, the Sushi-ko, Hawaiian, and Chirasi bowls. Each bowl has your choice of fish, grain, and then has a particular set of vegetables. In all honesty, I'm not too particular, so the three are not very different, aside from the assortment of vegetables you get with them, and the sauce. It's a pretty simple concept, but gives you enough variety. I like them, and am more concerned about getting a healthy mix of foods packed into the same meal. Banban certainly succeeds in this department. The quality of the ingredients, at least recently, is pretty standard. I'm not a sushi expert, so I can't comment on the fish quality, but it seems fine, and the veggies have consistently been fresh while I've visited over the last few years. If you work in the Tysons area, this is a great healthy lunch spot. While I only get the sushi bowls, you can also get: salads, wraps, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, and noodle bowls. Plus you can customize entire bowls. That's about 30 different options! While their selections favor omnivores, vegetarians have a few options, too. One important thing to note is that the word "sushi" might imply that it's Japanese, but it's actually a Korean place. This separates it from the other similar places because they offer bulgogi, kimchi, etc. Everything is under $12, and most items are under $10, and the portion size is comparable to other fast-casual spots. It's great for one serving, and if you're a healthy eater who adheres to advised portion sizes, then you'll be more than satisfied. If you're someone who is used to super-sized portions, then you might find it less filling (compared to a Chipotle burrito or Cava bowl). All in all, I come here because it beats all the unhealthy options, and because it has always been consistently satisfying. Service is also straightforward and pleasant. As a side-note, parking is sparse, so please keep that in mind. You'll either have to circle around, or walk there. This parking situation, plus the fact that they're not particularly remarkable prevents me from giving it 5 stars, but the consistency of quality, straightforward businesslike experience, and health factor are pluses in my book. I hope this helps!
