We ran into a tourist trap without realizing. First of all, I appreciate everyone in the service industry who's working on Christmas for the travelers who are looking for a safe haven on the day for dinner. However, this doesn't justify the bad service, mid food and shifty establishment. The prices were significantly higher than the menu on their website. They had a limited menu because of Christmas but there was no mention of it on their social media. The service was bad, the waiter kept pushing for the most expensive bottles of wine in the menu aggressively. They forgot to bring the complimentary focaccia and to one more table next to us. Sorry--I don't get the high reviews for this place. It is located in a boutique hotel, and we sat inside on a rainy night. There was weirdly no ceiling panels so it felt like we were in some industrial warehouse. The tablescapes were fine, albeit a little kitschy with fake lemons and plants. The food was also fine, but nothing to write home about. However, what turned us off most was the service. It felt pushy and very upsell-focused, like we were in a tourist trap straight from Italy. If a customer asks your opinion between two $50-60 bottles of wine, don't say "neither" and try to upsell them on the most expensive bottle on the menu. read more

I started with a Caesar salad. I didn't have much of an appetite but this was one of the BEST Caesar salads I've EVER had. Their cacio e pepe was AMAZING! I couldn't eat much of it and took it back to my hotel. I found out the next day that I had the flu (which was why I didn't have much appetite). Since my getting sick ruined the experience, I'm considering flying back to Miami just to come here and try my hand at the cacio e pepe and Caesar salad again I sat at one of the tables outside. When you enter Limencello, everything is decorated to the T. There are beautiful yellow lemons everywhere, including the waitstaff's shirt! The waitstaff was so friendly and welcoming, it felt just like home. They start you off with some delicious pieces of bread with olive oil and cracked black pepper. We shared the walnut, green apple, and gorgonzola salad as well as the Bolognese and rigatoni carbonara. Everything was pretty tasty. Definitely not the best Italian food i've ever had, but it wasnt bad. We also had iced lattes and they were yummy. We wanted to order the pizza, but they had run out of the materials to make a pizza. This is such a cute, authentic spot! I came with my friend who just moved back from Italy, so while the area could hint at it being a tourist trap, it's def not. Everything was delicious and she said since she'd been back, it was the most authentic Aperol Spritz she had found! The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is super casual but can still be somewhere to dress up for. Definitely not rigid in terms of that and expectations. The space is very small and there's a good amount of rowdy foot traffic outside between just being on Washington and people going in to the boutique hotel it is attached to, but for the most part it was not disruptive. We ate there twice in late 2022 and it was excellent, fresh and flavorful, earning a 5 star review. We ate there again tonight, Valentine's Day and had a much less impressive experience. The bolognese was much less flavorful and served warm rather than hot. Being Valentine's Day, the menu was very restricted. The food was served so quickly and only warm, suggesting they may have batch prepared, which could also explain the lack of flavor. We were seated, served and out in 40 minutes. They have also greatly expanded their outdoor seating capacity. I hope that experience was just related to their effort to accommodate so many for Valentines rather than their new normal. read more

I don't know why the reviews are so high here. It's just another mediocre Ocean Drive restaurant, and I was embarrassed I recommended it. They sat us outside despite being totally empty and almost 100 degrees. Food was just ok - meatball didn't seem homemade and cacio y pepe had way too much pepper. I should have known better based on the fact they had the workers on the sidewalk trying to talk you into eating there - never a good sign. read more

Authentic Italian food and atmosphere - and great service. Feels like you've been transported to Napoli for a few hours! Vodka Passione was wonderful- vodka passion fruit juice cocktail, calamari perfectly done, but best of all was the whole snapper baked in a salt crust. They set the crust on fire - no idea why - other than a theatrical flourish - and then crack the crust and serve, all by your table - and the salt baked fish is amazing. Tiramisu and sorbet to were perfect too. A memorable meal! Not cheap though - unless you are sharing a pizza, or just a couple of fresh pasta dishes - a whole dinner with drinks, apps, mains and dessert, plus tax and service will set you back around $100 + per person. Well worth it though. And if you are staying at the Casa Boutique hotel you get a 10% discount. We gave it back as an extra tip to Vincenzo, our waiter. read more

Summary: Cute little restaurant, service was good at times, slow at others. Food was a little better than average. But in short? I felt ripped off. So you understand our mood, we were supposed to land in Miami at around 4:00 p.m. Flight delays and mechanical issues made it closer to 8:00. But we finally made it. Meatball appetizers were above average. So far, so good. We both ordered the lobster stuffed ravioli. Tough to describe, but here it goes. I like salmon croquettes. In the south, we call them salmon patties. The "lobster" was a bit like this. Mixed with a filler like bread crumbs. It was good, but lacking that pure lobster chunk flavor. So now for the rip off part. Be wary of a server who is overly friendly. Hands on my shoulders multiple times. Gregarious. Flamboyant, expressive. Not in a sexual way. Just overly friendly. It was time to pay the bill. Internet down. Can I come to register to pay the bill? No problem. I'm tired, and I just want to go to my room. He took my card, rapidly clicked thru all the screens for me, and somehow, my $181 bill jumped to well over $230. Maybe he did deserve that much of a tip. But that was for me to decide. Stupid me, I even asked if he got a tip. He said yes I should've raised cane. But I was very tired. So this is a PSA. Miami is great. Florida is great. But people will rip you off. The food was very good at Lemoncello, however , the service was terrible. Our waiter had to be summoned on numerous occasions just to get a water refill. He paid very little attention to our table of five and luckily the nice lady who was seating people was there to help us. This was supposed to be a special occasion prior to a cruise however it was embarrassing to me because I selected the Restaurant for our party of five.
