    The Mafioso Sandwich
    Amber C.

Love limoncello. The mafioso is my go-to for sandwiches and the meat is always paper thin. I also love their stuffed peppers with prosciutto and cheese. One of the few places in the city that has them!

The Mafioso was excellent. Meaty and fresh with veggies. The bread was really soft. I think I'l have it toasted next time. The Mandarin Drink from Italy is refreshing. The sandwich was delicious and was generously made. The Good Looking Guy Minding the store was so nice and accommodating. He was very attentive and friendly. He made sure and asked me about how I wanted the Sandwich made. The place is well organized and clean. I really recommend this place. Come hungry. the food is great and the service is excellent .

One of the best sandwiches so far in san Francisco . Nothing but good things to say about this sandwich. Pricey but well worth it. The worker was very nice as well. I'm handicap and she came out to my car to bring my sandwich and payment. Sandwich so big I could only eat half. Take a look below for yourself

really delicious and packed sandwiches!! this is a gem in the heart of mission. i ordered the cuban and alpino sandwiches. you can choose to get it hot or cold, but i got both hot. the toasted bread with the fillings were super yummy! the cuban was delecadent, meaty, saucefest all in your mouth. i wouldn't have it any other way. the alpino had the perfect combination of fillings with savory and spice. with high quality ingredients, friendly service, and cute ambiance, i couldn't recommend limoncello more! i can't wait to come back and try other meats, sandwiches, or prepared goods!

    The Alpino Sandwich

The alpino was very well made with crunchy thin bacon and generous slices of meat. The vinegar gave it a refreshing tang while the fresh lettuce and tomato added to the texture of every bite. It is a bit on the pricy side but considering the quality of the ingredients and the skill with which it was prepared, a nice treat for a midday meal when working from home.

The best five star sandwich, service and atmosphere. Fernando was the best. Drove from LA just for this. Totally recommended.

Limoncello is a nice little Italian deli with great sandwiches. The interior is nice, walk past the counter and there is a little bar and lounge with a patio outside. Lots of different seating locations and a nice comfortable vibe to the place. My coworker and I ordered a couple sandwiches. She got the Alpino sandwich (turkey) and I ordered the Goodfella sandwich (italian style roast beef). The sandwiches were huge, so I ate half then and took the rest to go. What I liked most is the flavors in the sandwich like basil that gave it a nice flavor. I noticed that they sold good beer on tap, like Russian River's Pliney de Elder and a Pilsner. They also had lots of wine, sparkling and other drinks available. They have grab and go salads, sandwiches and sides if you are in a hurry. I was really tempted to grab a container of olives, but already full. Service was great and the place just feels like a nice little spot to hang out for a happy hour or with friends.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches to say the least. I wanted something quick and easy close to where I was staying. After a short brisk walk, I stumbled into this deli-like atmosphere, which also kind of doubles as a lounge. I got the El Especiale, and the flavors definitely popped. It was a nice savory bite eat time with the cheese and deli meat. The vinegar also complemented the sandwich well. Definitely a filling sandwich and really distinguishes it from franchise sandwich restaurants. Give this place a shot!

My bf and I love Italian food, especially Italian sandwhich shops. This one has sandwiches, and a grocery store! They also have a kind and friendly staff. We ended up buying 2 sandwhiches and 1 cannoli. Then, we ate our lunches at the stools. Nice indoor and outdoor window seating. We couldn't finish the sandwiches, so we packed up and took it with us.

Great little hidden gem filled with amazing Italian products, prepackaged salads, pre-made deli items, and freshly prepared sandwiches. The pistachio cake was incredible! They only serve beer and wine along with coffee and Italian sparkling sodas. There is bar seating and couches with coffee tables as well as a patio which I'm not sure is for customer use. They also sell coffee syrups and fresh pasta! Will definitely be back, the staff was so friendly too.

Came by here today at lunch and met Chris who made an amazing sandwich! Ambiance is cute and cozy, it's clean and overall really welcoming of a place. After living down the street for so long, I'm glad I came by to visit before moving, but luckily -- they also have a location in Lower Pac Heights! The sandwich was really tasty and spicy. The bread had a nice texture to it and the ingredients were good. In the back, there's group and bar seating near the wine. I really loved the place overall and will definitely be back. Super excited to tell friends about, too. I always love places that sell an assortment of goodies (pasta, etc.) and the displays are really eye catching. Check the place out if you're nearby! It's even great in the evening after work to have wine and unwind - they were open until 10pm on a friday!

I was dealing with a bike lock while they went in. We were not there for the event but rather as volunteers from the weekly cleanup refuse crew in the Mission. You get perks as a thank-you for doing your part in making the City a cleaner place. We had just had a lovely time at another participating business (Beehive) and planned on Arcana being our final stop. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team. While waiting in the restroom line, I told a staff member about all this, and the worker seemingly went up to the front to find out what's going on. The line took a few minutes, my friends also bumped into me, and I told them I'd likely wait for them outside the business post-restroom while they finished their wine. Already reported to the Mayor's Office. Maybe I'll add BBB. Should be honest and equitable! Four out of 200+ reviews by me have been one star, so I rarely share negativity. It's all rather unfortunate as other visits here went off without an issue. I warned a group of four about all this while I waited out front, and after talking to the front door folks, they left and thanked me for the advice. Please be careful if you visit here. . . .

We stopped in over Labor Day weekend and I was actually surprised by how quiet it was, which made it a nice place to sit and enjoy a glass without feeling crowded or rushed. Where they lost me was the wine pricing. The by-the-glass prices are pretty steep, with most around $16-$20 and Champagne at $25. I'm completely fine paying more at a wine bar for the atmosphere, service, and experience, but knowing what some of these bottles actually retail for, the markup felt excessive for what was being poured. They do offer a full food menu and some of it sounds interesting, but I wasn't impressed enough with the wine experience or value to want to stay and try the food, so I can't speak to that. I'm glad I finally checked Frenchie out after seeing it online so much. It's a cute space and I can see the appeal, but for me the value just isn't there at these prices

Plus, the people watching was pretty entertaining, which definitely added to the experience. The three of us only tried two different wines. My friend ordered a glass of Masha, while my other friend and I both ordered the Los Chuchaquis. The verdict: Masha was really good. Good enough that a second glass was ordered! As for the Los Chuchaquis, I personally didn't love it. I found it a little too tannic and bitter for my taste. If you have a low tolerance for bitterness, this might not be the wine for you. That said, my friend, who ordered the same wine, absolutely loved it and thought it was delicious. So maybe I just ordered the wrong wine for my palate? ‍ Either way, the wine is only part of the experience.
