    Buffalo Wings

One of our colleagues had won an award so a group of us wanted to celebrate it by going out to a restaurant for lunch to eat. Someone suggested Goat Hill Pizza as it was nearby and we made a reservation to come by during lunch. The place itself has that old Italian feel, a very traditional feel and when you walk in you can see the pizza makers working on the pizza through the glass, you know its fresh! We were seated quickly as we were the first people to come that day, we started off with some appetizers, a few orders of chicken wings and ordered 3 different XL pizzas. I forgot to take a photo of the last one as it was further down the table. The wings came out quickly and we all enjoyed them. I dipped mine in some ranch to give it that savory and sweet combo. The pizzas came out shortly after, and wow, were they huge! We had a group of about 12 and thought it wasn't going to be enough, but we ended up not finishing everything! The vegetarian one was just as good as the meat ones. Definitely a great place to enjoy with friends, and they mentioned that I believe that one of the days they have an AYCE menu, where you can come in and try all the pizzas, where they servce them in smaller portions so you can try them all. I'll be aiming to go to that next time!

Pizzas were pretty good. We tried them at one of our fur baby's friend's birthday party previously and then we later got some delivered. Also tried their wings and a caprese salad. All pretty delicious with their sourdough pizza crust. I heard about their very popular All-you-can-eat Monday pizza nights, but we have never been. Only tried them via delivery. Located on Connecticut and 18th Street.

No frills sourdough pizza joint in Potrero. The veggie combo slice was better than the cheese slice. After I started eating a staff member brought out some extra napkins and some water. If you're within walking distance you should give them a try.

I found this awesome place in Potrero Hill after asking my colleagues what the city has to offer for birthday deals, and I am glad that they mentioned this place! From the front of the restaurant, it looked small, but once you step inside, it goes way back deep with lots of tables and it had that classic Papa Gino's vibe that I loved from the East Coast. They also promote a Monday AYCE pizza and salad night, which looks like it could be a fun and chaotic evening for pizza lovers. What really attracted me to this restaurant was their awesome birthday reward of 19.75 off any pizza! I love sourdough, so this was a great excuse to try them out. Their dough is everything I wanted! Fluffy, crispy, and full of that deep sourdough flavor. I ordered a small Margherita pizza with pepperoni added, and it came out great. Crisp undercarriage, slices held up well, toppings were generous, and the pizza looked as good as it tasted. When I came in to pick up my order, I noticed the big slices they sell displayed near the front counter and I couldn't resist grabbing some too. Prices were very fair for the slices. There was a little mix-up where my reheated slices accidentally got handed off to another customer, so I waited about 20 extra minutes for a fresh one to be made. But honestly, it was worth the wait because the pizza was good. Definitely coming back for their Monday AYCE night!

The highlight for me is the crust. Their signature sourdough is what makes the pizza a total standout--it's tangy, crunchy, and sets up the whole pie perfectly. I always recommend going for one of their specialty options; the Hilda's Favorite (pesto and goat cheese) is one of my favorites, but I'm also a fan of the porky pie (with whole roasted garlic cloves and bacon).. My biggest tip? If you can handle the crowd, check out their legendary All-You-Can-Eat Monday night. Just be warned, you'll probably have to wait awhile to get seated, but it's a fun, chaotic tradition.

I love their pizzas (I've had several flavors), but their minestrone soup with garlic bread is even better in my opinion!! I swear it's the best in the city. It's full of chunky, juicy veggies and is oh so comforting. The garlic bread that comes with it is a huge sized portion and done just right (not too much garlic). I now order it every time I come here. Their weekend staff is always very friendly. All of this is turning me into a regular here. :) The little table outside is perfect for 2, as it's on a picturesque intersection. It's always calmer on this corner of the street compared to the crowded spot located catty corner from it. Terrific for enjoying a satisfying meal with some good people-watching.

I love the variety and the options at Goat Hill Pizza! They don't skimp on toppings and the sourdough crust has a nice crunch/texture paired with the cheese, sauce, and toppings! The pizza isn't too salty and overwhelming, so you can easily eat many slices! I highly recommend their chicken bbq or veggie combo. If you don't know what to pick, try going on Mondays for the AYCE period. You get to try various toppings in mini slices. The staff walks around with slices and you can signal that you'd like another slice, so it's completely up to you how much you eat. You definitely fill up, so I think it's worth the value and a fun experience with friends. Mondays can get pretty busy, but generally you don't have to wait. Personally, I wish the sizes were larger. You can always just get a large, but they advertise a medium pizza to feed 4-5 (which is subjective to how hungry/much you can eat). If the group has big eaters, size up the pizza!

A neighborhood pizza joint you can go to every week and be happy with. Sourdough crust offers a good tang and you can request how well cooked you want it if you really want more crisp! While I am normally a cheese guy, the saltimbocca is my go to here! Lemon, bacon, sage, I don't know what it is about that combo but I can't put it down. That also have gluten free and dairy free options available which my household appreciates.

This is one of those places that I consider old school San Francisco, a neighborhood gem and one I wish will never go away and stay just the way it is. I've been going to this place since the early 80's, in my college years, through working various jobs in the city and living in different neighborhoods, and now into the latter years. Its food is good in all regards, a reliable standard, the staff friendly and the facility remains in good order after all these years. So perhaps it isn't just the food, the staff and the restaurant, but in the aspect that it also holds a lot of good memories from the past with old friends and previous dates, it's precious in that way for me. Keep on rockin' Goat Hill Pizza, they don't make restaurants like you anymore.

Goat Hill Pizza has a super nice birthday deal as part of their rewards program. You get a $19.75 off coupon during your birthday month and can use it towards anything on their menu! We ordered a small special combo pizza to share and it was delicious and filling. They do not skimp out on toppings, our pizza was stacked with meats, bells peppers, mushrooms. The crust was also amazing, perfectly crunchy and not burnt - they make sourdough pizza which was so interesting because I didn't taste it while eating the pizza until I got to the crust which had a hint of sourness. The texture was amazing.

Great service! We were recommended the elote pizza and margaritas. We got a medium half and half which gave us a chance to try them together and I loved it! Such a crispy bottom and crust!! Will come by!

The How mushroom was recommended to me by a staff member and I thought was just a little plain; it was on the more bread side which I'm pretty sure is the standard for Detroit style pizza. In all honesty, I wish there was a bit more toppings to accommodate the amount of bread to topping ratio as this felt more of a cheesy bread sticks from Pizza My Heart. My favorite thing about this place is there were chilled glasses with taps for still water and sparkling water, which was free. In honesty, the sparkling water is an essential need to kill the grease in our meal. Overall, the staff were pretty friendly and helpful during the ordering process, the pizza itself wasn't for me.
