The noodles had a great texture to it as well. The service was fast and my noodles came out quickly. They offer noodles, dumplings, soups, and boba here. I also liked the bowl that my noodles came in. However, this place can get very crowded, especially after 6pm. Thats when the dinner rush starts to come in and it can be hard to grab a seat here. Was walking around the West Village and started to get a serious craving for dumplings and I'm so glad I found this place just walking around! We walked in and they were making dumplings by hand right in front of us which was really cool. We ordered at the counter and took a spot at the "bar". (Seating is limited with just a few bar stools and maybe 3-4 tables), but we got lucky as there was only two others eating when we walked in. Since it was cold out I got the wonton soup to start. It was delicious and the wontons inside were so fresh and light. We also got an order of the pork and chive dumplings to split. These were absolutely delicious! The shrimp dumplings (boiled) with lime chili sauce looked bright and refreshing. The lime chili sauce looked like salsa verde but smelled and tasted like a Southeast Asian dressing. The dumplings' wrappers were pretty thin and mostly silky smooth. The shrimp meat was roughly chopped and similar to har gow. The service is awesome bc you are sitting right at the bar, everything is served quickly. The soups, salads, dumplings, and boba teas. For us three, it was under $100 which is affordable for 3 folks for the West Village. Street parking can be found, but that's a roll of the dice since we were right off of Bleecker Street. Ordered a few dishes and the overall experience was ok, food wise. Peanut Butter Noodles - sauce was really watery. Flavor wasn't really there. It was very mild. Honestly, it was giving me elevated instant noodle vibes, which I was sad about because I was hoping for a rich peanut butter experience. Shoudl've got the dan dan noodles. Why is this even priced in the double digits when it's PEANUT BUTTER? Like, is there a peanut inflation? There's no meat in here, so it's crazy that this place gives you the smallest of portion for $10.99, so I had to order their Wonton soup for $8.49. My total cost of work lunch was $21.21 and it didn't leave me satiated until dinner. If I had no other choice, I would come back here, because the food is not bad. As soon as I came back to NYC (sorry, Winter) all I could think about was my favorite boba ever-- the Chocolate Lava. Have also been meaning to try their shrimp dumplings. Stopped in today for both and was blown away. Boba was as fantastic as it's always been but the SHRIMP DUMPLINGS, THOUGH. I added a little sriracha over top. They were easily some of the best I've ever had with that cilantro-heavy chili lime sauce.. I drank it from the platter. I could have eaten 20 more. Wish they had just oooone more pescatarian-only option (but am hella excited to try the vegetarian stuff: veg. dumplings and peanut noodles). Every dish, even as a pescatarian, looks outstanding and I wish I could try them all! The place is so cute, with pictures of their dishes hung up on their wall so you know exactly what you're getting. They really pack as much seating as possible into their little space, so don't expect to be too comfortable but at least you have somewhere to perch while you chow down on their handmade dumplings. The pan fried curry chicken dumplings I got were quite good, full of flavor and nice chewy dumpling skins. I liked their cheesy scallion pancakes but most of all their chicken noodle soup, which was just what I needed on this cold evening. I wanted so much to like this! It wasn't possible, though. It's basically a take-out place with a few small tables. You order at the counter like fast food. That part is fine. Some of the best places are little holes in the wall. They can have delicious food at great prices. Sadly, this had neither. We got the Garlic Noodles (which actually was delicious) and Dan Dan Noodles which was just ok. The portions were shockingly small. I forgot to take a picture because I was stunned into confusion. I have somewhat limited vision and I thought that I was just confused as to what I was seeing (or not seeing). But the plate was less than half full. $30+ and we left hungry. Not only was it $13.99 (plus tax) for the tiniest portion I've ever seen in a restaurant, but neither dish came with any protein. I know that 2 stars sounds awful (the fault of Yelp's 5-star system) but if you start with 5 and take off 1 for the tiny portion, 1 for the price and 1 for the food not being top notch, here we are. My order for Brother Lin's Beef Noodle Soup was perfect. The soup was in a large bowl and the silky noodles topped with a bed of chlorophyll green bok choy was in another bowl on top of it. I am not sure if it is because I got it for takeout but here is my review: -Shrimp Dumplings (3.5/5): The shrimp was very tasty, but the wrapper was rather thick and stiff. Disclaimer: I've only ever ordered delivery I'm half Taiwanese and I'm always craving beef noodle soup. My partner found Lin & Daughters on DoorDash and decided to give it a try! What we tried- Beef noodle soup: I feel like this a non-traditional version but it was still good. I wouldn't go out of my way for it tho. Dan Dan noodles: Good flavor but this is probably better in person and fresh since it can congeal pretty quickly if you don't mix the noodles as soon as you get it. A tad under seasoned. Pork & Chive dumplings: Good but sometimes get a weird texture bite. The sauce it comes with is good. Wonton Soup: Has a sour/vinegar taste that I'm not used to in wonton soups but I actually enjoyed it! Chicken Noodle Soup: NO. NOTES. Simply comforting and delicious soup. Literally liquid gold. I feel like this could cure anything. Good chunks of seasoned chicken, lots of veggies. Maybe a tad salty but I loved it.
