This is a beautiful clean and spacious park with ton's of things to explore. It's got two area's one for smaller kids and one for older but I think and feel it has a feel of the magical bridge playground, only smaller. We go often on play dates to this park and the kids have a blast. The place also has some shaded areas as well. Parking can be tricky, as it is only street parking, so you may have to park where your able to get a spot, and then walk. This is my go to park with my son and his bestie.

This park is amazing!! There is an awesome tot area with a play structure (that is shaded!! Mostly) under a canopy. The entire playground has the rubbery ground which is infinitely better (safer in my opinion-- I remember getting splinters on wood chip playgrounds growing up and that was NOT fun). There's a gate to enter the park and another gate to enter the tot area which is great/extra safety. There's a big parking lot next to the park with shaded spots. There are public restrooms. There's a shaded picnic table area. All the good things!

They have a small lawn where you can play ball or frisbee. There is also a small picnic area with a covered area. There is a cool playground for kids. If you an adult you are pretty much SOL.

Benches, grass, and paved walk spaces.

This review is for the toddler park. I yelped "toddler playgrounds" and Lincoln Glen was the closest park near us. It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood, and attached to a community center. We went on a Saturday around 12pm. The toddler park is gated with two entrances. It's cute and free from garbage. There is plenty of shading for parents and sitters to stand in while the kids plays. Near the seesaw there bushes that birds like to fly to and sing. My toddler finds this to be her prime time entertainment as she LOVES birds but doesn't get to see them as closely in our regular park. This park doesn't seem to be very popular as there was only two other toddlers the entire time we were there. There is a sand box that we did not use as our toddler was more interested in the wooden riders. She couldn't get enough of them! We enjoyed the toddler slides and swing set. She also enjoyed the grass and kept walking on it and touching it. Do keep in mind there is also tan bark around the toddler structure. Some of the wooden riders show wear and may unexpectedly cause splinters. Our regular park is meant for all ages, but is over populated due to all the apartment buildings around it. Lincoln Glen is a breath of fresh air, and a slight call back to my child hood. I feel we can come here and not worry about her getting stepped on or pushed by kids and preteens playing tag on the play structures. The big kid section is on the other end of the park. We did not go to that side. There is a bathroom on-site.

I love this park. Clean and just the right size for the kids to play in and be able to see them while playing. The parking lots is really big so you don't have to worry about finding parking. Nice grass area to play on or have a picnic. I also had a birthday party here for my son. Nice shade area. This place for perfect for my 5 yr old.

Phenomenal park and one of the best in the city embedded in the community. Lots of parking with many obstacles and activities for the kids to play with, vast open space and benches to relax and eat. Park has sections for different ages and accommodates play for all ages.

    Great sensory slide!

What kind of park has a zipline?!? THIS ONE. Two seating options, one with a harness for toddlers,…read morethe other for older kids (I even saw adults using this). The park also offers a fun and inclusive space for children, with climbing structures, sturdy cement slides, swings for both toddlers and older youth, a see-saw, merry-go-round, trampoline, and spongy material making up the ground's surface. The occasional squirrel, lizard, and butterfly too. As an adult simply looking for a place to relax while waiting for my car at an auto shop nearby, I was pleasantly surprised to find this park accommodating. Dirt and concrete trails weaving through the garden, lovely vegetation in spring, and a good amount of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout. Also, a shady area with fake grass and seats made out of smoothed-out logs and tree trunks, as well as adirondack chairs where I was able to hang out and nap while I was there. It wasn't too crowded or crazy on a Friday morning, though it got busier as it neared noon time. In addition, the place offers a parking lot and clean restrooms for convenience.

Located inside Balboa Park, you can tour the museums in the area, but don't forget to stop and take a moment to smell the flowers at the Japanese Friendship Garden... There were so many beautiful birds, butterflies, koi, and plants I've never seen before. The grounds were very clean and well manicured. Pricing to get in was about $60 for a family of 4 (including student pricing for our children) which may be a bit steep if you have young children with thin patience.. however, if you are able to come in and find your Zen for a couple hours, this is the spot to do so. They offer free crafts for visitors- when we were there they were doing an origami workshop, which seemed very fun. However, our kids weren't up For it- so we did not participate. It's not a park to have a hardcore hike but one could definitely get a good 'walk' in as the trails are easy and the crowd is generally comprised of locals from the neighborhood. I have successfully completed a 5 mile "hike" multiple times here -- just had to keep walking up and down, and all around. The park also has workout stations -- although, many of them are closed right now due to COVID19 but an average person could get a good cardio workout and get in some strength based exercises here (pull-up bars, etc.). Parking is easy as this park is aligned with a huge residential area. P.S. there are no public restrooms with the exception of seasonal porta potties so you should probably go before you plan on visiting. P.S.S. this park is popular for youngsters to "be youngsters" after hours so be cognizant if you're trying to plan a romantic date.
