Living in Midtown it is so hard to find a breakfast place that isn't so crowded there is nowhere to sit so when I passed this place a few hundred times I was like how did I not see this? It literally is across from my favorite Jimmy Johns. I went in and what really impressed me was the coffee flavor, fast service and fast delivery on food, the huge menu (crepes!!!) and friendly people. I thought to myself I will go back on Sunday and see what happens.....well today is Sunday. It was full when I got there and the hostess put me in a room that probably was for private parties and overflows but it was not the same well lit and quieter atmosphere from my last visit. So I snuck out to see if I could move and lo and behold I found an old friend I hadn't seen in years at the counter!!!! I love it!!! Then Nicole (who was there on my first visit too) at the counter, was also more than happy to move me back into the main room and said to me it was no problem and wanted me to always be comfortable and never hesitate to ask. So I am back on track. Yes the coffee was amazing again and again they got me a to go cup for when I left :) Last time I had a Greek omelet that included some french toast and it was quite affordable. I even had enough for dinner. Today, I got my mascarpone filled crepes and decided to get corned beef hash as well. (that is why to receipt is a little high). Once again I have more than enough for dinner. EVERYTHING was delicious and yes they have hazelnut creamer! This right on Meridian street headed downtown. They have so many great sandwiches etc on the menu---I cannot say enough about this place and having been in the restaurant business for a long time its not easy to impress me. The staff really is what makes this place. I have been to the so-bro non-chain restaurants that are more expensive, make you wait, make you get your own coffee, give you seats next to poles and are just not very friendly and I say---drive down the road to Lincoln Square on Meridian Street where there's plenty of parking, smiles, plenty of room to walk around and one of the cleanest stops in town. read more

I totally dropped the ball on making Mother's Day reservations, but thankfully, pancakes never let me down! Of course, the place was busy, but the staff kept things running smoothly with such grace. Our food arrived quickly, hot, and absolutely delicious. Stopped by for breakfast yesterday on a road trip and my friends and I had a great experience here. The parking lot wasn't too full when we arrived and the restaurant was decently full when we walked in. We were seated right away by the hostess to our table and started looking at the menus. I settled on getting the German skillet while my friends ordered the Country lady, chimichanga breakfast burrito, & meat lover's scrambler. The food here came out in after abut 10 minutes and the portions were plentiful. I loved my german skillet and the hash browns were crispy while the eggs were flavorful and not dry and I loved the smoked sausage and the gravy on top. It was an overall tasty meal and I would order it again in a heartbeat. My side of pancakes was bigger than I thought it would be and they were some of the best I've had in a while. They weren't burnt and were pillowy and soft! My friends all loved their dishes as well and they said they would order them again. Our server helping us was kind and answered any questions we had regarding the menu and even separated our bills for us without even asking which I thought was quite nice. The inside of the restaurant feels homey and cozy and you can tell that people come here quite often for their delicious breakfast! French Toast with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas.The French toast was cold and very dry I normally don't use syrup, but I had to use it on this. Dave ordered The Alex Skillet-it had sausage, bacon, ham, pico to Gallo-spicy queso a spicy Spanish sauce with a chipotle sauce, two eggs, sliced avocado on top. We made our 2nd stop at Lincoln Square this morning. We live a few hours south so when visiting family this has been our go-to spot since its close by. I love the large variety food and they also offer lunch food for breakfast, so really they have a little bit of everything for everyone. Today I chose to go with a half order of biscuits and gravy and a side of pancakes, someone else chose the hammy Sammy, and someone els the pancakes. Everyone seemed pleasant with what they ordered since there wasn't much left afterwards Our was a very friendly young man, a little on the quiet side, but did a great job waiting on our table. Server was great. I came at the last hour of closing so i know he was probably over it and ready to go. Food: Mediocre at best. Sausage was salty as hell, the eggs was weeeeelll DONE. So hard and not that great, hash browns over cooked and dry as sand, the pancakes had so much damn butter on it I almost felt artery closing and it made them soggy. $20 was pretty wasted. I need to stop going out so much and cooking my own food! Lol! Under floor of my table was wet and food was all under there... Need to clean that. One of the best casual breakfast spots in Indianapolis! The food here is SO GOOD, tons of classic breakfast options and some of the restaurant's own creations. The cinnamon poppers are so so good, they are a perfect sweet addition, but there are quite a few of them so I wouldn't recommend getting them if you go solo. I ordered the TURKEY HAM BACON CLUB and was underwhelmed. The turkey and ham seemed to be of the public school cafeteria lunch meat variety and the bacon was such a small amount I couldn't tell if I enjoyed it or not. The bread seemed like it was older and not fresh and there was little to no mayonnaise, as if the cooks were told, go easy on the dressings guys, mayonnaise prices are going through the roof! Look, what does it take for an establishment of this size and historical note to cook a turkey and a ham every day, utilizing it several different ways, one of which would be on this sandwich. I can envision a nice chunk of freshly cooked turkey breast, a slice of just cooked out of the oven ham and some nice thick Oscar Mayer bacon with a generous dollop of mayonnaise, all held together with some fresh bread. But unfortunately that is not what I got. Maybe it was an off day for them, maybe they're just not focused on sandwiches and concentrate more on other menu items or maybe they're just resting on their laurels basking in the glory of yesteryears accomplishments that has allowed them to grow to fifteen locations. Whatever the reason, they definitely could have done much better on this sandwich. Next time I'll try a different item from the menu. I wish I could give 4.5. Since we moved to the area, we have been on the hunt for a reasonably priced everyday breakfast place and this is it. Sure there are places like Yolk, Cafe Patachou, Garden Table but sometimes you just want a regular ole breakfast. This is the perfect spot. It's not fancy but simple. Service is always great, especially when we have Payton! Their menu is vast with something for everyone and it won't break the bank. Those that have read my other reviews know I like music being played at restaurants, they play easy listening 80's which is a nice touch. Why didn't I give it a 5? Only because is the decor. It is very old furniture and drab colors. Otherwise a solid place for your everyday breakfast spots!
