It was amazing and served with the sun, sweet jelly looking sauce, which was delicious. The fried mushrooms were delicious. They were fried so they were a little greasy. One of us had a fried shrimp dinner again, fried slightly greasy, but still cooked very well and delicious The other one of us had the little T-bone steak cooked well done he loved it who would've ate the bone if he could I had the little New York strip medium well it was delicious. I ate small bites and every little bite it was tender and juicy. We also had the blueberry cheesecake which was so delicious with a fresh blueberries Also had the coconut cream filled cake also, very delicious. I ordered the ribeye steak and had very high expectations, but the entire experience was disappointing from start to finish. To begin with, we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. Instead, we ended up waiting well over an hour and a half to be seated. That alone was frustrating. When the steak finally arrived, it looked burnt or heavily charred on top. At first, I wondered where the actual grill marks were. After taking a bite, I was even more disappointed. The ribeye seemed drenched in oil rather than finished with butter, and all I could taste was grease. There was very little flavor, and it seemed like no effort had been made to season it with even basic salt and pepper. The minestrone soup was also a letdown. Instead of a traditional Italian minestrone, it seemed to be mostly corn and peas with very little resemblance to what I expected. The pasta dish wasn't much better--it was oddly spicy, yet somehow still bland and lacking any real flavor. After waiting that long, I can honestly say it was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. I would rather eat at Ruth's Chris, Texas Roadhouse, or LongHorn Steakhouse than return here. The service was just as disappointing. During our entire visit, we saw our waiter fewer than four times--once to take our order, once to bring bread and soup, once to deliver our meals, and then a quick "Is everything okay?" before disappearing again. I genuinely cannot fathom the hype surrounding this restaurant. Between the hour-and-a-half wait, inattentive service, flavorless food, and disappointing steak, the experience fell far short of expectations. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

An old school steakhouse on the outskirts of Orlando. Don't let the name fool you, it's definitely not a Mexican restaurant. This place was rocking dinner throughout the evening. The crowd never seemed to let up. We had a group of 12 and were taken care of well by our servers. Appetizers had a bar-type feel. Think blooming onions and mozzarella sticks. But the steak selections really wowed. It was actually recommended to get a chopped steak, which was kind of like a hamburger patty meets steak. The food is absolutely divine. Unfortunately for guests it's always booked and busy. I made my reservation for Father's Day on April 1st. But the bar is first come first serve. It was three of my family members first time. They enjoyed everything though my sister expressed that her snapper was a little salty. And my boyfriend could have used a 2nd pineapple slice on his chicken. I have been several times at this point and I have not had one item that I did not enjoy. Our server was great even though she didn't say her name. This visit was my first time having the sirloin and I was thoroughly impressed. I have heard about this place for years and finally had a chance to try it. The steak was great 12Oz Sirloin Perfectly medium Juicy very flavorful! I have to also add, very reasonably priced. Wife had the egg plant parmesan and was surprised by how good it was, generous portion tasty and fresh. The onion soup I heard so much about lived up to the expectation, it was rich and tasty and the melted cheese had a great texture and saltiness. The previously mentioned dry bread met its end in the soup. The mozzarella sticks seemed to be made in house as well as the ranch and the baked potatoes were loved by all The one Item i would delete from the menu and make a big deal out of is the fries. Awful steak fries, tasteless and soggy, the only hint of flavor in them was the taste of the oil they soaked up, I recommend you get absolutely anything else. I love the idea of a side of spaghetti it made me smile. And the key lime pie... Oh the key lime pie I am grateful that I got to taste it during my time in this green earth. I visited Linda's La Cantina last night for a family dinner. I started my meal with the Baked French Onion Soup. The soup had a rich flavorful broth filled with soft juicy diced onions and soaked bread and topped with gooey mozzarella cheese. For my entrée I had the Surf and Turf which included a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon, Spicy Shrimp, a House Salad and Steak Fries. The steak was tender, juicy, cooked to a nice medium rare and wrapped in a meaty bacon. The shrimp was tender but not spicy (as indicated on the menu). The salad and fries were ok. I recommend skipping the fish dishes. My mom ordered the fish and it was very chewy like it had been frozen for a long period of time and had to send it back. This was genuinely a delightful dining experience. From the friendly host at the front, the food, the service, and of course; the dessert. It's one of those places where everything on this visit was great. I had tried to make a reservation, and you do that by sending them a text with your name, date and time and you wait for them to reply if there's a slot open. Honestly, I'd make my reservation at least a month in advance because I was unable to make a reservation, but you can arrive and wait for a table, and that will take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Yes, it's always busy, and super popular but definitely with good reason. We arrived at 5:30 and ended up only having to wait 45 minutes. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and surprisingly quick in getting our requests in. When I say everything was good, even the salad that's usually boring and a mild distraction until real food arrives was amazing. The dressings were delicious, the croutons, the crisp and fresh vegetables, honestly; terrific salad. I had the small surf n turf that comes with the 4 oz filet and 6 oz blackened snapper; delicious, and that baked potato with sour cream and chives was one of the best baked potatoes I've ever had honestly. Phenomenal place to dine! The wait is worth it! We were suppose to wait for an hour and a half for 3 people. But then we ended up bringing along my nephew so we had to change the amount and bump it up to 4 people instead of 3. After changing the number of people we were seated right away. I don't know if an odd number people makes it a bit more difficult to find seating or what but we were happy. After sitting the waiter took down our drink order. Then he came back to take our appetizer order. Everything moved fairly quick and little wait. As we got our appetizers we started taking pictures. The place is a bit dim so we had to put our flash on. As we got our food we took pics and tried eachothers food. Great way to try different dishes at a time without over spending. But it does give us a look into our future return. That way we have an idea of trying something new or stick to the same dish for the next time. Absolutely everything was phenomenal like i said. Nothing there disappointed, well except the fries. That is the only thing I would change. It's been hard to find a great steakhouse so I've been cooking it at home, but Linda's really did an outstanding job on keeping the flavor of the steak and not hiding it with a ton of seasoning. The 1.5lb Tbone was cooked to medium rare perfection. The sides were pretty basic but the made in-house croutons on the house salad were buttery & crunchy. I usually get the Ribeye, baked potato or fries and side salad. The house made dressings taste fresh and I prefer to order the house viniagrette and ranch mixed on the salad. I get the the ribeye super mid rare. Bread service is fresh and warm. This steak has been the best one I ever had. The baked potatoes can be ordered with all the toppings, which is delicious. There are so many options! They hand cut the steaks at the restaurant and they even sell ground beef if you so desire to purchase after dinner to take home. The reservations are made by texting them, which was new to me. But it works and they respond quickly. They open at 4pm and the parking fills fast. I have had steak dinners all over Orlando that cost me three or four times as much, and we're just as good. The service was amazing, the inside is not the most modern place you will find. This establishment isn't a white glove and British Waiter fine dining, this is nostalgic classic American fine dining with checkered tablecloths and amazing food! I went to celebrate my anniversary and we ate like royalty, Blackened Snapper and Manicotti, Bourbon Marinated Steak Tips and a delectable French Onion Soup, but the Filet Minion was easily the best steak I've ever had. I mean it was so delicious and tender, I ate beyond discomfort. It was INCREDIBLE! This place is incredibly nostalgic, the walls have a faded cream color and the lighting is just right between dim and comfortable and bright and lively. Their bread is always on point and those sides are legit. I'm usually a T-Bone guy but this time I went with a Large filet bacon wrapped. Probably one of the best filets I've ever had from a restaurant. Cooked perfect for my liking. Medium never even needed a knife, my fork cut it with no issue. All in all it's a really good place to go that all the locals apparently know about. It isn't touristy and I think that's just because it's on the east side of Orlando. Finally tried this Iconic Orlando Restaurant after many years of looking at it (it is not near us) and it did not disappoint! The server Chris was great, but the food stole the show. We couldn't decide on an appetizer or a soup so we split both. The French Onion Soup was one of the best I've ever had and the Mozzarella was clearly made in house. I love the layout because you can choose to be in a family dining room at the bar or somewhere more intimate. I came to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I had attempted the same a year prior, but they take a week of in July, and it happens to be on my birthday. The reservations are made by texting a number on their site with the date and time you would like for your reservation, and party size, and they text you back confirming if it's available. It was a Thursday evening, and they were busy, so we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. They're able to do large parties, as there was a table behind us with 15-20 people. The interior is an open space full of tables, so you can hear the crowd. So it's not an intimate place. Once we were seated, our waitress brought a complimentary bread with butter, and that was a good way to get started. The steaks comes with a house salad which has homemade croutons and the dressing of your choosing. The salad was good and crisp. The steaks came out shortly after. The steak fries tasted like Lay's version of fries. The steak was juicy, well seasoned, and cooked to order (medium). We had ordered fried mushrooms, and I personally didn't like it. But the dessert was so good! They had various desserts that sounded really good, but I went with the coconut custard cake, which was delicious and hit the spot!
