Baked potato
Tracey F.

An old school steakhouse on the outskirts of Orlando. Don't let the name fool you, it's definitely not a Mexican restaurant. This place was rocking dinner throughout the evening. The crowd never seemed to let up. We had a group of 12 and were taken care of well by our servers. Appetizers had a bar-type feel. Think blooming onions and mozzarella sticks. But the steak selections really wowed. It was actually recommended to get a chopped steak, which was kind of like a hamburger patty meets steak. I actually decided to.go with this, since "normal" steak usually isn't my jam. It was actually pretty darn good. Although, I got the mini version; I cannot imagine trying to eat the regular size. If you want to have an old school steakhouse experience, check out Linda's!

Great local steakhouse. Steaks were delicious but was especially blown away by the key lime pie - highly recommend. Portion sizes were big and service and ambiance was great.

The food is absolutely divine. Unfortunately for guests it's always booked and busy. I made my reservation for Father's Day on April 1st. But the bar is first come first serve. It was three of my family members first time. They enjoyed everything though my sister expressed that her snapper was a little salty. And my boyfriend could have used a 2nd pineapple slice on his chicken. I have been several times at this point and I have not had one item that I did not enjoy. Our server was great even though she didn't say her name. This visit was my first time having the sirloin and I was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant was a bit loud but it was a day of celebrating so I understood. I think the space is being used to its max capacity in an efficient way. I will continue to return and bring others when I can get a reservation. Also, the menu is very reasonably priced.

Small filet and loaded baked potato

We had reservations and were seated immediately. The service and staff was impeccable. The food was great. I recommend the filet with loaded baked potato. The pasta is good, but the baked potato is the best. The sweet potato fries appear to be frozen but were fine. The salads were great with lots of options for dressings. Try the coconut custard cake! You will love visiting Linda's! Very casual and laid back. No need to dress up.

I love the concept of a casual steakhouse. The service was great. I ordered the 4oz surf n turf. The steak was slightly overcooked but overall great flavor. The other steaks came out cooked correctly. Overall good experience. I would return. Had a drink in the lounge while we waited. Cute , old-school feel area

I visited Linda's La Cantina last night for a family dinner. I started my meal with the Baked French Onion Soup. The soup had a rich flavorful broth filled with soft juicy diced onions and soaked bread and topped with gooey mozzarella cheese. For my entrée I had the Surf and Turf which included a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon, Spicy Shrimp, a House Salad and Steak Fries. The steak was tender, juicy, cooked to a nice medium rare and wrapped in a meaty bacon. The shrimp was tender but not spicy (as indicated on the menu). The salad and fries were ok. I recommend skipping the fish dishes. My mom ordered the fish and it was very chewy like it had been frozen for a long period of time and had to send it back. Overall, this was a good steak at a really good price.

12oz Sirloin. perfectly cooked! it was meat candy. Never going anywhere else for steak!

I have heard about this place for years and finally had a chance to try it. The place has a classic vibe without feeling old timey. you can tell there is history there but still feels contemporary like a place you would bring a date or a business prospect. Not too loud though I would say a bit dim for my taste, I do like a bright restaurant, but it can be intimate witch in may ways its a plus. Our waiter was prompt and super nice even though he did seem a bit distracted and obviously very busy. (still wondering if he forgot the butter or the bread is meant to be eaten dry). We expected a long wait but they got us in 20 minutes before the projected time, that tells me they cared to get us seated and I appreciate that. The food was fantastic almost perfect! The steak was great 12Oz Sirloin Perfectly medium Juicy very flavorful! I have to also add, very reasonably priced. Wife had the egg plant parmesan and was surprised by how good it was, generous portion tasty and fresh. The onion soup I heard so much about lived up to the expectation, it was rich and tasty and the melted cheese had a great texture and saltiness. The previously mentioned dry bread met its end in the soup. The mozzarella sticks seemed to be made in house as well as the ranch and the baked potatoes were loved by all The one Item i would delete from the menu and make a big deal out of is the fries. Awful steak fries, tasteless and soggy, the only hint of flavor in them was the taste of the oil they soaked up, I recommend you get absolutely anything else. I love the idea of a side of spaghetti it made me smile. And the key lime pie... Oh the key lime pie I am grateful that I got to taste it during my time in this green earth. In general for sure we will be back, no interest in going to any other steak places ever again and the Key lime pie has my heart. I recommend reservations but it is worth the wait! Only took the star because of the dry bread and awful fries.

Absolutely love Linda's La Cantina and it never disappoints. I would recommend making a reservation as the doors are always busy and revolving. When does it known for their consistency, perfectly cooked steaks and amazing baked potatoes. For this trip, I tried something different and went with the manicotti and was super excited I did. The sauce was tasty. The cheese and the filling were delectable. I highly recommend Linda's if you're looking for a delicious steakhouse with quality food and wonderful service.

Dessert menu

This was genuinely a delightful dining experience. From the friendly host at the front, the food, the service, and of course; the dessert. It's one of those places where everything on this visit was great. I had tried to make a reservation, and you do that by sending them a text with your name, date and time and you wait for them to reply if there's a slot open. Honestly, I'd make my reservation at least a month in advance because I was unable to make a reservation, but you can arrive and wait for a table, and that will take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Yes, it's always busy, and super popular but definitely with good reason. We arrived at 5:30 and ended up only having to wait 45 minutes. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and surprisingly quick in getting our requests in. When I say everything was good, even the salad that's usually boring and a mild distraction until real food arrives was amazing. The dressings were delicious, the croutons, the crisp and fresh vegetables, honestly; terrific salad. I had the small surf n turf that comes with the 4 oz filet and 6 oz blackened snapper; delicious, and that baked potato with sour cream and chives was one of the best baked potatoes I've ever had honestly. Speaking of best I've ever had, their key lime pie and chocolate cake.... I'd honestly go back just for that alone; it was really great. Everything was stellar, I can't wait to go back.

Ribeye and green beans
Sankaya H.

I finally made it to Linda's for their ribeye steak! Was very impressed with the steak...juicy, well seasoned and hot/fresh! I was not as impressed with the green beans. Needed more seasoning. Very bland. The order took a bit long to come out as well, but my server was nice. I would've also preferred a more quiet atmosphere -- there were a few groups there and the table next to me was SO loud. Nonetheless, I would still come back for the steak alone :)

Service was great sequoa was super friendly and had great suggestions. Food was perfectly cooked and atmosphere is very comfortable. Not intimidating like other steak houses. Menus is very reasonably priced. Will come back!

Phenomenal place to dine! The wait is worth it! We were suppose to wait for an hour and a half for 3 people. But then we ended up bringing along my nephew so we had to change the amount and bump it up to 4 people instead of 3. After changing the number of people we were seated right away. I don't know if an odd number people makes it a bit more difficult to find seating or what but we were happy. After sitting the waiter took down our drink order. Then he came back to take our appetizer order. Everything moved fairly quick and little wait. As we got our appetizers we started taking pictures. The place is a bit dim so we had to put our flash on. As we got our food we took pics and tried eachothers food. Great way to try different dishes at a time without over spending. But it does give us a look into our future return. That way we have an idea of trying something new or stick to the same dish for the next time. Absolutely everything was phenomenal like i said. Nothing there disappointed, well except the fries. That is the only thing I would change. I believe that if they can make everything else phenomenal they can eventually make the fries amazing as well. Until next time! Looking forward to returning.

Popped my Linda's cherry after so much talk about it from my colleagues. This was a post birthday dinner and I really enjoyed my dinner. It's been hard to find a great steakhouse so I've been cooking it at home, but Linda's really did an outstanding job on keeping the flavor of the steak and not hiding it with a ton of seasoning. The 1.5lb Tbone was cooked to medium rare perfection. The sides were pretty basic but the made in-house croutons on the house salad were buttery & crunchy. I usually dislike croutons but these were SO good. I wish I had a side order of them. The mozzarella sticks were also just OK and more than likely wouldn't order them again. The tequila lemon drop martini, though, was balanced and tart.

Ask the Community - Linda's La Cantina

Are reservations for party of two REQUIRED? Thank you

Not necessarily required, but I highly recommend you making them. I've gone in on a Tuesday and was able to sit down right away at 4 PM but I've also gone on a Thursday and there was a three hour wait for the same timeframe and don't even bother…

Is there a dress code?

No. As long as you have a shirt and shoes, you will get service. Flip flops qualify as shoes.

Are the mozzarella sticks good or just frozen?

I don't think anything at Linda's is low-end. Our food was fresh and tasted great. Lovely atmosphere.

What is their corkage fee?

I have no idea because we always get the Original cold bottle of nondescript wine -starting too many years ago by Al - Karen Hart's father -- it is hilariously good with the steak…

What are their hours?

Tuesday-Saturday 4pm-9:30pm. Closed on Sunday and Monday.

Is there an option for take out?

Yes they are taking to go orders for pick up between 5pm and 8 pm.

The food was quite rich with all the butter and vegan butter everywhere and we had some stomach issues afterwards. The drinks seemed to have been incorrect or switched out and were sent it back. When we got newly made drinks, they tasted quite different so the drinks were made inconsistently. They do have the good hard chocolate mint candy at the front

Kind of place that you can wear any attire and would fit right in. The service was great, nothing in particular that stood out as over the top, but it didn't need anything like that. It was just good top to bottom. The menu was diverse enough for all tastes. There was a good variety of steaks, italian, etc. I ended going with the Alfredo, which was absolutely delicious, but I knew I should have went for a dish with more red sauce. The Alfredo sauce was incredible, albeit a little watery. The picture may not show it well, but there was a scoop of it right on top of the chicken, and it was really good. Next time that's what I'm having. The bread and butter were mind blowing though. Something about a garlic butter on a warm piece of bread is so incredibly hard to beat. I did have their "Delmonico's Margarita". Which is just their version of an italian marg. It was enjoyable, but for the price point of $17.95, I was expecting a little more in both taste and size. It was only a few dollars less than my meal. You live and learn with drinks though, can't knock it! Overall, great experience, and absolutely a recommended from me!

All the steaks and chops around the room looked amazing with great aroma. The lighting is dim, but the large windows let in a lot of light to read menus. I recommend a table for two by the big windows overlooking the pool (and 9pm fireworks) or a comfy booth along the wall with the same view. We appreciated the perfect timing and temperature of our dishes. Our amuse bûche was a yummy ceviche packed with seafood. I would definitely order it if on the menu. The crudo appetizer was a standout dish - so fresh and flavorful, and beautifully presented. My smooth, delicious, piping hot sherry-infused lobster bisque was poured over a sizable slice of lobster, at the table. My dining partner was impressed with the delicious taste and temp of their Iberico Chop. I adored my perfectly seared and moist sea bass with fluffy gnocchi in a decadent, rich and creamy mushroom sauce (I substituted sea bass for escargot). The large, indulgent lobster mac side dish was an excellent compliment to both mains. It was flavorful with plenty of lobster; and the delicious crust on top would make amazing cheese crisps. Servers walked around with a variety of fresh, warm, yummy breads -- though 14 Prime breads in Jax taste better. The arrival of the crème brûlée flambée was reminiscent of a bananas foster presentation in NOLA. Unfortunately, the flames were the most interesting aspect of the crème brûlée. Flavor was not particularly special, and chocolate at the bottom tasted like pudding. Dessert was just 'ok' at Bull & Bear & Oscar's. Another small nitpick was the lack of black napkins for black outfits. Service was professional, yet approachable. Servers gave great recommendations without unnecessary upselling. They worked in teams, so there was always someone available to assist. Open 6-10pm daily, our reservation secured the table all night -- no rushing to turn tables over for the next guest. Some dishes include table side preparation, so prices reflect showmanship (e.g., lobster bisque poured at the table; table side César salad preparation; meat board & Dover sole table side deboning and plating; crème brûlée served in flames; strawberry ice cream created table side). We look forward to returning again and again.

It's clear the staff takes their work very seriously - hearing about the specials almost felt like a sales pitch - and the atmosphere is meant to be upscale and well executed. I recognize that as a vegetarian, I am nowhere near the target market for this menu. That being said, I found my entree and the bar's available ingredients lackluster, but the sides and dessert were delicious. The bread, glossed with butter and very fluffy, was divine. The waiter took my drink order, I asked for some options for a cocktail that were off menu that he'd have to check on, then the rest of my table got their drinks 15 minutes later, and I was told what I ordered wasn't possible. Not sure why drinks took so long or why I wasn't notified sooner, as this made our pacing a little odd. I ordered a blood orange heavy cocktail off the surprisingly short menu, and it was just ok - not a mix of flavors I'd normally go for, and very punchy. The greenery sprig was a visually appealing touch though, although it was a bit heavy handed on my neighbor's drink. My salad was yummy, with an interesting addition of potato chip like curls. The red wine that was ordered for the table was one of the best red wines I've ever had, very enjoyable, and I never normally like reds. The wine selection seems vast here - the menu is a true binder - and some options go over $2k for a bottle, so even the most extravagant tastes will find something they like here. My waiter gave me the tiniest bit of attitude upon finding out I was a vegetarian. Listen, sir, I didn't pick the restaurant, I know I don't belong here - yeesh. He did inform me that a cauliflower steak option was available, which I took him up on, but it was not listed on the menu anywhere. They should really add it to be more inclusive of all types of diets - it's 2026, you need to offer an entree that isn't meat, even if you're a steak and seafood restaurant. I'm never really that impressed with a cauliflower steak from anywhere, but this was one of the most bland I've ever had. It wasn't filling and the sauce had barely any salt or flavor to it - very lackluster. The desserts were amazing - I forget what we ordered other than the Creme Brulee topped with macarons and Butter Cake (OMG! WOW!), but everything I tried was yummy. It was a pretty busy spring Thursday night when I visited, but everything seemed to take quite a while to come out. A friend was dining separately at another table, and when we bumped into each other in the bathroom while waiting for apps, we both remarked on how long it was taking for food and drinks to come out. The atmosphere was also a bit chaotic - we had to wait in a cramped, awkward entry hallway for 10 minutes past our reservation time, which was a weird way to start the dining experience- they need a better waiting area. It was also very loud in here, which is not what I'd expect for such an upscale place - I could barely hear people across the table from me. It cheapened the overall feel. The price points are certainly impressive if you're wanting to come here to impress a date or business partner. Some bits were excellent, but the entree fell short for me. If you're getting what they specialize in, you'll probably have a better experience, but you'll also be waiting quite a while. I feel like the only person I know that isn't raving about this place, and although it puts on quite the show, there's some room for improvement. I WILL be dreaming about that bread and the salad's potato curls, though....
