We were looking for an inexpensive place to eat on the way out of town, heading back home to SA. So I found this place on yelp. It wasn't bad food but the server wasn't very friendly. Her expression the entire time we were there was just kind of blah... the restaurant was definitely outdated..needs some new tables and chairs and repairs on the walls, etc. I had the Mexican plate which was yummy and my husband had the tejas plate and a side of beef tamales which he enjoyed as well. I would not recommend and will not be back. The mainstay of any TexMex restraunt in Texas is good cheese enchiladas. Enchiladas that came to the table was only barely warm, enchilada gravy or sauce was out of a can, refried beans were the same. Will never return. read more

I'm going to start with giving this place five stars even though it's my first time here. The taquitos are amazing, and the prices are cheap. It was packed by 1100 which is a good sign. The tortillas are bigger than Acapulco, El Sol, or Hacienda Vieja. They are definitely homemade and so fluffy, tender and yummy. The carne guisada is very tender and full of flavor, and finally a place that knows how to make potato, egg, and bacon taquitos right. You would think that is a no brainer but evidently not! I don't like the salsa though. It's not bad. It's just not flavorful enough for me. We will be back to try some of their plates and run through the menu. I ordered the #5 and it was delicious. The biggest and best fluffiest homemade flour tortillas I have had. The food had flavor and the salsa was on point. I gotto tell you all...I will give this place a 8 out of 10 food was excellent service was good and attentive good food portions. If your are very hungry eat a plate or just stick to tacos they pretty above normal size. In my opinion the squirt salsa they have is ok but I prefer chunkier salsa but that is my choice. For salsa I'll give them a 5-10 sorry good taste but not impressed. Overall good food good family ambient great service and food will be on your table pretty darn fast. A flight crew, we were in town for a couple of nights and hankering for some mexican. A quick Yelp search favored Linda's, so thats where we rolled. Those good reviews are completely deserved! My only problem with the experience is reorganizing my top 10 best Mexican food joints of all time...And I get around! Ignore the reviews complaining about the tight seating. True, the place isn't massive, nor trendy or fancy. But it was big enough (even for a Saturday brunch/lunch time crowd), remarkably clean, the service was great, and the food was insanely amazing. We usually talk through meals....this conversation, however, consisted pf a series of happy grunts, delirious moans, and an occasional, "oh man, wow". I love finding places like this....it's one of my favorite things about traveling for a living. So now, when in Corpus, Linda's will be a mandatory stop. read more

Amazing! First visit to CC, and got to this place 'by mistake', just because we wanted Mexican and something nearby our hotel. When we realized this was inside a neighborhood we were skeptical, we were even more when we opened the door. It is a very humble, pop & mom shop, very family oriented restaurant. The menu has 60+ options, and if I'm not mistaken, the most expensive plate is like $12. As soon as they sat us down, they served us chips and salsa. They do not have alcohol (beers nor hard liquor), so we got water. Ordered a burrito - $4.50 - size of the burrito? Plate lengthwise... huge! Ordered a tortilla soup - $6.95. Deep plate, and they bring it filled to the top with the chicken and chicken broth, and a on the side plate with pico de gallo, avocado, cheese, limes and fried tortilla so everything is fresh! You will also get a tortilla to dip in the soup. Someone was celebrating their bday and we got some cake slices as well, just because! ;) Ticket total was $12 something. We left a nice tip, because the food was so good and the server was really nice! If we go back to CC we will definitely visit this authentic mexican place again! read more

This truly was 'as good as it gets' according to Yelp ratings. My family (8 + toddler) came here while on vacation from east coast and Portland, OR. This was an amazing and comfortable dining experience that felt very home-like. Everyone helped contribute to the overall excellence of the restaurant in our experience and we had AMPLE food! Found Linda's on here and seemed like a great place. Busy Sunday Afternoon. Walked in to a full house but a waiter flagged me down to a table he just cleaned. Free chips and salsa! Perfect amount of spice. I ordered a small bowl of menudo and 3 tacos. 1 pastor on their homemade corn tortilla and 2 Barbacoa tacos on homemade flour (Recommended by our waitress) My gf ordered the carne Asada plate. All big servings. She enjoyed the carne asada with rice and charro beans (some of the best I've had). The menudo was okay, not the best I've had. Now the tacos, i was thinking they were street taco sizes, i was wrong. These tacos were hugeeee i only finished the pastor and 1 barbacoa. This place in a nondescript part of town and as we pulled in we were worried. It looked like they were closed and there were only few people around. Nobody in there spoke any English and when they bought in Salsa and chips for dinner I got even more worried. We asked for guacamole and we got a small plate of mashed avocado (no salt, no onion, no lime). But then dinner was served. Oh Boy! That was a real treat. They had by far the best damn tortillas I've ever had in my life. It tasted flaky and light and incredible. It was so delicious that my wife packed up a few to take! Please please try these. Both corn and flour tortillas were fresh and delicious. We had the beef fajitas which were incredible. Tasty, juicy and melt in your mouth! My wife had the enchiladas which were smoky and tomatoey and oh so good. Put plenty of the salsa verde on for a real surprise. Undoubtedly one of my favorite spots for breakfast. This unassuming little place, with pretty tight seating, serves up comfort food at its finest. For breakfast tacos, my favorite is their bean, bacon and cheese - just WOW!! Everything about it is good. The pastor tacos are complete with little chunks of pineapple, fresh onion and cilantro. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Been here a few times now, tried a few different things to get a real feel for the menu. We're fans. Linda's doesn't go overboard on spices, doesn't have someone trying to surprise you with sneaky heat in the salsas and simply really good food. The service is on the spot, the restaurant has plenty of seating (we had to wait a LITTLE bit on one morning) and the prices are well worth the quality of food and service you receive. This was the first time i stopped to visit Linda's restaurant and was very excited about the rave of homemade tortillas. However when i ordered my meal the flour tortillas were not "homemade" it was very obvious that they were reheated. Nothing good about paying for leftovers. Their menudo was diced almost to the size of the pozole. The salsa was watery and well that left it with no flavor. My accompanying guest ordered an egg plate and the eggs were perfectly cooked, the ranchero salsa was on the side but it was warm and tasty. However the cubed potatoes were not fully cooked and the refried beans well they had been refried one too may times. My only conclusion is that perhaps all the good reviews are old or perhaps Linda's restaurant has changed cooks or maybe they stopped taking pride. Whatever their reasons are the food we were served was not up to par which was a huge disappointment after reading all the great reviews. read more

Parking spaces were wide. There was a line 8 cars deep at a steady flow for the drive through. The staff were friendly and my coffee cup was never empty. My husband ordered the horchata and he really liked it along with the pancakes, eggs and bacon breakfast. I ordered huevos con papas, refried beans and bacon. We're from out of town and looked up breakfast on Yelp. One of the best breakfasts we've had. Husband got the Barbacoa plate and I got migas a la Mexicana. (Don't have pictures because we were so hungry and ate it all) the service was fast and friendly. Husband had his coffee refilled 3 times. All the sauces tasted good and weren't too spicy. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because negative stars are not an option. I was joining 2 others who had already ordered, I arrived later. The waitress completely ignored me, never asked if I wanted anything to drink or brought a menu. I finally had to say something after her 2nd visit to the table...after I arrived. When I received my food (Enchiladas verdes) I took one bite and it was super acidic, just disgusting. I couldn't eat it so I asked for the manager and simply told her I couldn't eat because of the acidity, that I didn't like it. Most common sense restaurants just simply apologize and remove it from the ticket... nope, not this place. She had the audacity to say "I'll taste it to see if it's acidic or not." The point is the customer found it acidic (I can't eat heavily acidic foods). She took it and still proceeded to charge us half the plate price because she thought the food was fine. Who the hell charges a customer for something they didn't eat but the manager thought it was fine. The food here is below average Mexican food, if you want decent Mexican food you can literally go to any other place than Linda's. Terrible food, terrible service, terrible treatment, and terrible management. read more
