Tried the AZ Sunset and the açaí bowls. Much like other reviews, overpriced!! Two bowls with no additions was $34. The bowls had a nice presentation and were tasty but did not live up to the price. They are a different twist on an açaí bowl as it doesn't come with traditional granola and not a lot of fresh fruit on top. Cute store! It was clean inside and the employees were very nice. We also waited a long time for our two bowls. I know they aren't fast food but 15 minutes is a little ridiculous. Probably wouldn't go back. read more

I'm from SoCal and we are vacationing in Anthem. I've been following Karma Apple on Instagram for about 6 months or more and have been dying to go check it out. I love the way the smoothies and bowls look. We drove all the way out to Gilbert to try it and I was thoroughly disappointed. I hate writing bad reviews on Yelp, but I mean voicing your opinion is the point of this app. As many of the reviews have said, this place is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. $11 for a smoothie and $7 for coffee? We ordered 2 mint smoothies, 1 cafe latte, 1 salted date slice, 3 cookie dough balls, a raw chocolate cake slice, a T-shirt, and a sticker. Our total was $85!!!! My family was stunned to see the price. I have never spent THIS much for smoothies ever before. I was so excited to come here but so let down by the price and the flavor of the food. My mint smoothie tasted like fucking toothpaste. The date slice was decent, the cookie dough balls were a little too flour-y, the coffee was bitter and flavorless, and the chocolate cake slice tasted like cheap fudge. Not worth the price at all. I thought the flavor and quality could make up for $85 smoothies and desserts, but I was wrong. This was a major let down. read more

I've been here a few time after yoga across the street. Juice is good, but pressed and bottled much earlier. Sweets and bites are good. Sushi is rather dry and average. Avocado toast is excellent. But I'm not coming back again. The prices are embarrassing. Yesterday I got a bottle of green juice (average to small size) and a 4-bite "pumpkin pie." $20.00! Crazy expensive for the amount of product. And a tip is expected for counter service. I finally got it! Duh. I'm done being ripped off in the name of vegan! read more

I'm gonna have to agree with a lot of people's complaints about the place. It's that it's overpriced!! Although presentation is nice it's a little ridiculous to have an açaí bowl for 15 dollars without any extra add ons. I got lured here by social media but I nearly dropped my card when the cashier said my total for one bowl (they don't have different size options) was 15 dollars. I got the AZ sunset and it was good, but didn't taste like anything special to be honest. It's Just a glorified smoothie. I LOVE Karma Apple! They have incredibly delicious açaí bowls and all kinds of other bowls, and they make them super pretty too. They have really tasty and very different lattes, AWESOME sweets and deserts, salads, chia puddings, and of course veggie and fruit juices, and more. AND...it's all raw, gluten-free and processed/cane sugar-free. On top of that, everybody working there are so sweet. We LOVE this place!! Everything is exceptionally delicious The chocolate donuts are super rich and moist, and the cacao nibs on top give it that extra crunch! We've had the banana tart, chocolate espresso tart, pistachio cookie sandwich, and peanut butter cup cheesecake. Today we tried their waffle and their vegan tuna sandwich. So let me begin with the waffle. The waffle tastes like a waffle, which is hard to come by being vegan and gluten-free. Before this vegan/gluten-free life I was a waffle connoisseur, and they surpassed any waffle I have ever tried. The toppings were phenomenal: bananas, strawberries, blueberries, cacao nibs, plus the COCONUT WHIPPED CREAM!! The maple syrup topped it off. The waffle overall was an 11 out of 10. Now for the "tuna" sandwich, I was shook!! My girlfriend and I shared, but we came to the realization that we should've just got our own because of how amazing it was. It was colorful and hearty. It tasted like potato/tuna salad, but it was made out of garbanzo beans!! The pickle on the side brought the flavors together. We will definitely be coming back to get this again, and next time we want to try their pumpkin pie smoothie if you were debating whether or not to try Karma Apple, this is a sign from the universe to drive there right now!! It is a little pricey, but the price doesn't matter when you're eating real, healthy ingredients. It's all organic, vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar free and it's the place to be!! read more

Okay first things first. The food is not bad but It's not the best vegan food I've had. I'd give the pastries a 4 out of 5. And food I'd rate 3 out of 5. What prompted me to write this review is the service and price. My hubby and I stopped by for a smaller snack and drink Sunday morning. We bought one sandwich, one pastry, one pressed juice, one smoothie and one immunity shot. It cost me $52. That's insane mark-up and frankly highway robbery. Honestly they could be way more successful if they lowered the prices and had repeat customers which in turn brings more business because referrals move best word of mouth. I get it's specialty type of food but it's by no means cuisine. Case in point, we went to another downtown restaurant that uses local farms for dinner and bought vegetarian pizza (big enough for 2) and an entree salad (also for 2) and paid $26. Had we added drinks at the same price as karma apple we still wouldn't have paid as much. The service was also an issue. The cashier who appeared to be the only one there with experience was having the "training" employees muddle their way thru. I say that because they were slowly reading the directions of ingredients making smoothies. Instead of jumping in there to get things done faster. It's just not a cohesive flow. I mean there's not really seating but 3 tiny metal tables outside. But it was too cold to enjoy that. I saw a family of 3 leave cause they didn't want to wait 15 minutes for drinks. Our one sandwich took them 17 minutes to make. And there was no one in front of us when we arrived. Sure there could have been to go orders but there was at least 4 employees. I've felt this way in the past and sadly I went back cause it's close to my house. But I'm done now. I don't know how they'll ever raise prices. They'll price themselves out of business. Better hope the economy doesn't fall they'll sink in no time. Sorry just NOT worth the price ! PS my smoothie wasn't blended well at all and banana kept getting stuck in the straw. read more

I love Karma Apple. My favorite is the Turmeric Ginger Latte. I see a lot of people are complaining about the prices. I honestly believe their quality reflects their prices. This place is really yummy! I am no stranger to organic vegan juicerys and cafes, I am also used to paying higher prices in Los Angeles and Orange County areas. Unfortunately I think this place is very overpriced... my smoothie bowl cost $15 and to add the cookie dough ball that you see in their instagram posts it was $3 extra. So $18 plus tax total for a bowl of fruit essentially (normally açaí bowls are $8-$12. I also noticed that their caramel apples are $16-$18 which is just insane to me. Love the menu but I would definitely eat here more often if they lowered their prices $2-$4. I know other açaí/pitaya bowl places offer different sizes as well which unfortunately they do not here. When I first came the wait time was also close to 20 minutes for my bowl and I was the only customer in the store. (Just a little update I would recommend training the staff better bc it seems like they don't all make the bowls the same... sometimes i'll have granola at the bottom which makes it way better and when I just visited they didn't give me any granola at all... I see that the prices have been raised even higher, sadly I don't think I will come back. It's easy to make your own smoothie/bowls at home and not spend as much. $16+ is just so crazy for one bowl) read more

Was very excited to try this place!! Love me some good bowls. I ordered the mermaid bowl and it was absolutely delicious!! One of the best bowls I've had around the valley!! Customer service was great!! However, it is so overpriced. I ordered a bowl, 2 strawberry smoothies, and one piece of cookie dough and my total came to just shy of $40!!!! The strawberry smoothies were nothing special and to be honest my kids didn't even like them. On top of being overpriced there is NO inside seating and only 5 seats outside. I can assure you that I don't want to eat a smoothie/bowl sitting in 115 degree weather I want to sit inside and enjoy it. Definitely don't want to take it in my car (no lids available to go - was handed a piece of Saran Wrap when I asked for a lid). Another downfall was there are no different sizes to order. Would have been nice to have a child's size smoothie and also different sizes of bowls. Take customer feedback and make some changes :) read more
