This is my 2nd review for Lindsey's Heating & Air (the last was 10/2011)...Cristi, the initial contact person, was very accommodating even though they were swamped & technician Steve serviced our HVAC today. He replaced a capacitor which had finally failed after many, many years...he was efficient, informative & also recommended checking out the large air filter in our attic unit (I replace the intake air filters but not the big one in the attic) & he showed me how dirty it had become. Again, a quick fix without any hassles & I think at a very reasonable price...pleased to be up & running cool again. THX to all at Linsdey's Heating & Air!!! read more

Had these guys come and check for leaks. They said they couldn't find any and so they just refilled 3+ some lbs of Freon. A week later, it's all gone. You would think that the leak would have to be pretty big for the Freon to leak out in a week, yet they weren't able to find it. I would have to say that the techs they sent out weren't quite competent. read more

OK, it was my fault. My heat stopped working at the coldest time of the year. I called them because of the last review. The female who fielded the call has a very good personalilty . I called just before Christmas and she was honest about the response time. She followed thru and called me when she promised. A+ I spent several cold nights with no heat coming from my central air/heat unit. I was told up-front the cost for the visit and the guy came on time and was truly a professional. He fixed my problem within minutes after arriving. (my circuit breaker had tripped) It took him about 2 minutes to figure this out and he had my heat back on.... I wish he stayed on my roof longer and told me he fixed something, but he was honest flipped a circuit breaker switch and I was warm again. The service was great, the price was $83 for a 10 minute visit. My fault. I knew the price for his visit up front. I only wish he wouldve given me a idiot discount for not checking my circuit breaker first. read more

Not cool when you charge full price and use a used part. Yeah air con break down within a few days and find out it's the part they put in and it's not a new part. Good thing my suspicions were correct and decided to call someone else and not Lindsey's. read more

Only great things to say about Mark and his gang. The first job they did for us was on an emergency basis to fix a faulty leaking installation of a forced air furnace that had been installed by a different contractor (not them). They got the system running and plumbed properly and were reliable and pleasant to deal with. Since then I've had them back to do a from-scratch installation of a ductless system. Even when I slightly changed the game plan during the process Mark was super patient and willing to accommodate our wishes. The whole crew was very considerate and well informed. I came in to my business over the weekend to find it freezing cold(summertime) and the AC running full blast, went to the controller to find it dead. In a panic i called Marks cell phone for him to ask me if i changed the batteries in the controller, of course not. Changed the batteries good to go, back to normal. I had Lindsey's install new heating and air into my home (my prev. heater was original gravity) after shopping around quite a bit a few years ago. They were professional, quick, clean and fair in pricing. Following installation they have followed up and come out to check the system annually. Their guys are easy to work with and they adhere to the appointment windows they set up. I have had no problems with my equipment and have ignored the last couple courtesy calls to come out (for free) to check the equipment. Called this week and they were able to come out the next day!!!! Service call was great! - cleaned the outside unit for me, changed the filter in my attic and replaced the filter i use inside with a thinner cheaper one (to help regulate the air flow inside he recommended the better filter upstairs that i don't change often and a cheapy inside that is changed regularly); Nathan is polite, knowledgeable and helpful. I'm moving soon and happily Lindsey's will service the area that I'm moving to. Love these guys! Thanks Mark, Cheryl & Nathan - service providers you can trust to give you a fair deal and take care of you after they install the system for year to come! PS - I've seen a few negative remarks about them here and I guess you can't please everybody, but I recommend that you look at the consistent good remarks that they have and remember that often people don't even bother talking about good experiences - it's expected - so think of all the other people who are also content and didn't say anything; thanks Lindseys! read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would.....I called as our a/c had been out for 2 days and even though the temps were mild it was still hot. With a diabetic husband and 3 small children in the house I needed to get it fixed and fast. We had waited 2 days for another service tech who could not commit to a time to come and check it out so I called Lindseys and spoke with Christy who had a tech at my home within 30 minutes.....the problem was diagnosed in less than 10 minutes and fixed within 5. So after waiting for 2 days my a/c was up and running within a hour. The service tech was professional and honest. Called Lindsey's with an SOS at 9:30 on a hot (and getting hotter) SGV morning with a dead air conditioning system. At 11:30 Sevag called to let me know he was on the way. Our heater broke down 2 weeks before Christmas and kept blowing out cold air. Called Lindsey's, Nathan came out and inspected the furnace in the attic. He told us that the furnace was on an ongoing recall. We would be able to get a new replacement, and would only need to pay labor for installation. A few days later, Mark, Wayne and Danny came and installed the new furnace. They were very friendly, honest and professional. Thanks to them, we had a warm Christmas! Good job, guys! We have done two very big home HVAC projects with Mark and his staff at Lindsey's over the last three years: a complete overhaul of all our ancient ducting and heating systems and the installation of air conditioning throughout the house. This was a very intricate process, as the house is a small mid-century modern which required real ingenuity to shoehorn a two-compressor modern system into place without compromising the architecture. We are very happy indeed with the result and found Mark and his staff to be exceptionally professional and competent at all times. The work was by its nature disruptive, radical and expensive but due to the high quality of both the parts and labor and in no small measure thanks to Mark's expertise, we felt it was worth every penny. So much could have gone wrong, but it didn't. Mark also dealt expertly with all the state bureaucracy that governs all aspects of HVAC installation in emissions-conscious southern California. Lindsey's has serviced my air conditioning system for a few years and I have been pleased. Recently, we decided to add a new system in order to take the load off an undersized system downstairs. Lindsey's came out and spent a lot of time figuring out exactly what the best approach would be and installed a new system for our upstairs. Their guys are great - smart, clean and trustworthy. At the same time, we had some trouble with our downstairs unit and the team spent a lot of time trying to diagnose exactly what was wrong with it. Lindsey's figured out the problem and repaired it at the same time. I felt like a got a fair price and I was grateful that they could fit me into their schedule during the heat of the summer. I called Lindsey's after having three quite expensive estimates from other companies. The three other companies kept telling me what they thought I needed. I just wanted to add A/C to an existing furnace system. All three told me to tear it all out and start from scratch. Mark Lindsey showed up and told me, 1) what would be best for the house if I wanted to spend a lot, 2) what was already ok with the existing system, 3) what would work for the house spending as little as possible. Then Mark did something none of the other companies did. He said, "What do you want?". WOW. None of the other companies even listened to my wants. Mark let me know he could do what I wanted done and never tried pressuring me to spend more on things I wasn't ready to. His crew of guys are awesome, neat, cleaned up great, and were responsible in every aspect of a well run business. They even swung by and did a li'l check up a few months later on the system to make sure I was happy. I would hire Mark in a heart beat! I will highly recommend Mark to do the work! He is honest, and his office is efficient. My AC/Heating duct got chew up by rats few years ago. I needed to redo the whole duct works. It was during the major heat wave in 2004. I called every AC/heating companies that are in the greater LA area (in the yellow page) for free estimate. No one was willing to come over to provide me a "real" free eatime. They only willing to give me a rough estimate over the phone basing on square footage of my home and how many opening that it would need to make. The estimate price were range from $3000 - $5000. No one were willing to give me an exact price. They also were not come over to re-do the duct work during the heat wave. Everyone told me that I need to wait 1-2 months to get my duct work done. I have a newborn at home. It would be extremely tough. When I reached Mark, he has not just came over to check on it in person - right away. He also gave me a very reasonable rate to re-do my whole duct work less than 50% of the lowest rate quoted. Everything was done in a week. When everyone is trying to take advantageous of me during the heat wave, Mark didn't. This tells you about his good characters and honesty! read more

When our central air unit stopped blowing cold air Bill from Lindsey's Heating and A/C came out to figure out the issue. It turned out we needed a new compressor and would take up to a week to get the part. It was the beginning of a heat wave and I have a one year old son. We were not sure how we would get by with no A/C for a week! The next day I got a phone call that somehow they were able to get the part for us and immediately came over to fix it. Bill worked tirelessly in 98 degree heat and fixed the issue. I cannot tell you how grateful I was to get such great customer service. This company knows what they are doing and delivers! read more

I've dealt with Lindsey's Heating and Air cond. since 2004 when another company wanted $600 to replace the compressor fan motor - Lindsey's identified the problem as low Freon and charged about $60 to repair. Since then I have become acquainted with Mark Lindsey, the proprietor and use his company for servicing my rental units and to replace the complete FAU in my house. My entire family now uses his company as do many of my friends. I am a retired General Contractor and know a good Air Conditioner contractor/service co. when I encounter one. Mark is as honest as the day is long and I trust him implicitly. He's the only one I use for my home and rental properties. read more
