We have continued to try them and they are getting better and better. Try their version of Happy Family with the shrimp, beef and chicken and vegetables. It is really good. My husband loves their hot and sour soup! Why? I have no idea because I hate hot and sour soup!!! Their sesame chicken has big chunks of chicken and plenty of sauce! My favorite is their combo rice. Best Asian food in Georgetown!!! All the food was delicious!!! Mongolian Chicken was great and had the right amount of spicy to it. My daughter tore up the lo mein. It's hard to just get her the right thing but they had on the kids menu lo mein with chicken!! That's her favorite!! My nephews and mom also enjoyed their meals too. You have to try it out!! This place just opened and was busy for dinner. We had to wait for a table - which we shouldn't have had to, as there were plenty of empty tables. Our waiter barely spoke English and had a hard time communicating with us. We ordered egg rolls and 2 dinners. He forgot the egg rolls and needed a reminder, Which we received after our entrees. I had the cashew chicken. It tasted good , but had lots of fatty and grizzly pieces - not the best quality chicken. First time here. High expectations, as we definitely have a shortage of good Asian food in Georgetown. Ordered Kung Pao Beef. Beef marginal quality, even though said spicy on menu, pretty bland. Service below par, maybe four tables including me, but server was way too busy talking at the cash register to another employee. I stood there and had to interrupt her so I could pay. Hot and sour soup was very good, and I will certainly give them another try. Go to JaiWai Thai on the Square for Thai food - very good! The General Tao's Chicken is really good. They use big chunks of white meat and the sauce is very tasty.

We tried Lin's for the first time after reading the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. Egg rolls were good and the egg drop soup was tasty. We shared a shrimp with snow peas that was quite good and ample enough for both of us. The service was quick and attentive. Definitely a keeper. read more

Always delicious food! Very fresh ingredients and very big portions for the price. They get your takeout order right every time without having to check through their very well organized and sturdy takeout bag. Service is great with very friendly and kind people. We tried Lin's today for the first time. We ordered off the lunch menu. Service was excellent and prompt even though they were quite busy. The food was very good traditional Chinese. You have a choice of egg roll or soup; not both. My experience has been that you get both at most Chinese restaurants on the lunch menu but there was plenty. We did not go hungry. We will go back. Stopped for dinner at Lin's Cafe. The food was delicious, but very hot with peppers. We ordered Chicken with Curry and General Tao's Chicken. We tried to communicate when ordering, but had trouble being understood and understanding with our waitress. My husband is gluten free so we ordered what we knew was safe. This is a restaurant which will make the food gluten free when possible, and haven't had a problem in the past. The food is very well prepared and delicious, though. read more

Lin's is consistently good. We love their entrees, their soup, the appetizers. Their chicken entrees come as big chunks of chicken. They are very safe in how they have arranged their to-go orders. We order from them frequently and are always please. read more

Food is average to below. Service is worse. There was a long wait for my order and my wife received hers 12 min later. The wait staff never returned except to bring the check. They didn't refill tea or coffee and didn't even clear the empty soup bowls. We won't go back. read more

Finally gave in even after hearing the very so-so opinions of others for the last few years, and then reading some comments by Yelpers'. Well for us, it was just O-K. Better than not having an option, and better than saying we will never order out from there again. So we are somewhere in the middle. Moo Shu Pork was basically vegetables with a few sprigs of pork, no real flavor, the pancakes were dry and thick. Had they given us the Plum Sauce that ALWAYS comes with a Moo Shu pork it might have contributed to at least the flavor. Nothing would help those pancakes my husband called, "Small paper plates", The House Combination Fried Rice was decent, the House Lo Mein was decent, but the Mongolian House Combination had a runny sauce and All the meats were overcooked. Honestly, I have never ever had bad Chinese Food before. I did not know it was even a possible thing until we moved to TX. We will continue to frequent our "Spot" on Austin Ave. read more

My husband went to Lin's Cafe tonight and enjoyed the Moo Goo Hai Pan and Sweet & sour Chicken. Good service. No complaints.we will return.

The food is good and consistent but the service is lacking. Disappointing since it is hard to find good Asian good near Sun City. Shanghai Express is still my favorite but looks like Wasabi has done some freshening up. I will try them again because the sushi looked really good! read more

I am so happy that we have a Chinese Restaurant so near to us. I love their Snow Pea with Shrimp. You get exactly just snow pea and shrimps with nothing else. When I ordered from other restaurants, they always put in just a little bit main veggie and mixed in other unwanted veggies. I also love their soups. Especially their Hot and Sour soup. Just delicious. When you order a bow, it is like 4 cups for the price of 2 cups. The orange beef is great too. Keep up with the good work. When the restraunt first opened i was eager to try. The food is good and the lunch portion was fair and enough to get full. I became a regular customer until i noticed their takeout box became smaller. I still was hungry afterward and bc of this i no longer recommend this restaurant to fellow employees or friends. Food has no flavor. Poor quality chicken and beef bathed in a mystery sauce. Long piece of hair in my food. The "Happy Family" dish contained one baby scallop. Save your money and buy a frozen Asian dish at the supermarket and your "Family will be much Happier". Better yet, cook your own recipe. This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The food is excellent, except for the white rice, which is served with most meals. The three times we have dined here, the white rice has been served cold and usually seems to be dry. Except for this one complaint, we love the place. No MSG on the menu! Yay! First super yummy Chinese food dinner in Georgetown for us in 4 years. At last! We arrived at 5:30 ish last Friday night and didn't know it was opening night. Our dinner was terrific. There was a bit of a wait and it was as expected for anywhere on a Friday night. We will be back and we will order take out on a regular basis . Love the location close to Woodland Park and Sun City. Thank you Lin's! One suggestion: have one person dedicated to take out orders and the cash register . Been wanting to try this Asian Cafe. A good crowd was still dining about 1:30 on a week day. Food was good. Service though was just OK. Seems like some confusion on orders was taking place at several different tables around us. Customers seemed to not be getting what they ordered. Our order and bill was correct. After eating here we concluded we prefer Panda over Lin's even though the food was good at Lin's. We may try Lin's again at some future date. read more

Found this place right down the street from my house and I dropped by for lunch yesterday with my girlfriend. It was very quaint with great service and a nice selection of Chinese and Thai. Servers were polite and accommodating. The food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering, which you rarely ever see. Everything tasted fairly good and it was great value for the price. We took the advice of others and waited a while for the kinks to be straightened out. First, let me say, we are from California and Hawaii. So our tastes for foods in Texas are quite different. We have been here 12 years and have tried a few Chinese food locations in the surrounding area and not found any of it to be to our liking (other than Panda Express)-- everything else was just ok or less than. We were looking for a restaurant similar to our favorite in Sacramento. Well, WE FOUND IT! Even beats our favorite in CA. The food was astonishingly excellent, as well as the service. We did not find the people rude - just shy or quiet as our most Asian people. Having lived in CA and HI, I know that for a fact. I guess you have to realize when you go to an ethnic restaurant you need to be more open minded. Anyway, we are going back for Mother's Day and look forward to supporting this restaurant in the future. read more
