What a concept!! Mexican food? Good! Chinese food? Good! But how did they do. I picked up. Probably my first mistake. Great little spot. However some things don't travel well hot. Like chalupas or taco salad. Becomes mush instantly. Overall our office consensus was ehh. I personally would not go again. I did like the rice. The Chinese plates are supposed to come with steamed rice which we all wanted and the menu says that. It did not. Extra greasy fried rice is what we got. The chalupa I had was not great. The tostada was super soggy. I will say the meat was good but overall it was a mess to deal with. The service was great. They are very nice. I would not recommend taking Togo if you do Mexican food. Chinese no problem. I'd recommend eating there otherwise Go check them out and try for yourself.

Truly a local hidden gem! Great little spot, the food is so fire and the portions will always leave you with some left over. Staff is friendly and food comes out quick. 10/10, everytime!

A little southside hole in the wall with an extensive menu! Food came out pretty fast and freshly made. Will be coming back to try the rest of their menu!(:

Best Hole-in-wall place for Chinese & Mexican food! By chance we were looking for Chinese food and found this place! We will be coming back for sure. The prices are great, service/waitress was friendly & attentive. Don't be fooled on the outside, all that matters is the taste of the food! Hot & sour soup was so good, 4 large pork Eggrolls crispy and tasty. I had shrimp chop suey & husband had seafood Shrimp in lobster sauce. Local people were picking up orders ToGo, Try it for yourself

    Sesame chicken

Restaurant was clean and I came bc the reviews had 4 stars. The sesame chicken is ok not bad. Now the lemon chicken looks really dry. The chicken fried rice was not good at all. Looking at the picture, the chicken is over cooked and potentially a day old. I would not return for a 30$ tab without the tip for two plates and a mini rice.

    Lomein with beef and chicken

Service was friendly and fast came in about 8pm. Small dining very clean. Cheese Rangoon were simple but crispy and hot. Lomein with beef and chicken had a great saucy taste. Sesame chicken was delicious presentation was very nice. It had crunch and plenty of sauce to cover ever piece. Fried rice simple but good. We will try chicken fried rice next time. My sister tried the bean and cheese but missed that photo opp. She said it was good plenty of cheese oozing out. We will stop by for breakfast tacos soon. Today's visit was great

Awesome food....best kept secret in deep southside. This place is as good as it gets in Chinese food. Does chef learned like 5 different styles of Chinese cooking working? Many years in california now he has perfected a perfect chinese meal

The orange chicken was soooooo good and the fried rice was delicious. I also ordered the cream cheese ragoon which was crispy and full of cheese. The Mexican coke was fabulous, it was nearly frozen and quench my thirst.

Excellent food...good quality and the best price. The tortillas are handmade and oh so fluffy!

Don't miss this gem. The outside might not look like the best but the food you cannot beat as far as taste, quality and price

Food did not have any flavor. Extremely Greasy and flavorless, and what kind of Chinese restaurant does not have sriracha?

Hole in the wall place. Fresh brewed Tea, egg drop soup was great, and the service was adequate. Prices are cheap.

I don't think it's truly authentic Chinese food, but an in between little diner with great and attentive service, reasonable prices and a lot on their menu. What we ordered came out super quickly and all the dishes were very good. We got egg drop soup (delicious), one stir fried seafood dish (shrimp and scallop- so good!), shrimp fried rice (great), the General Tso's beef (my husband loved this!), chicken lo mein. Generous portions for all dishes. I am sure this place is great for to go also because they must have had 25 to go orders in the 45 minutes we were there to eat.

It was coated with flour like fried chicken instead of corn starch which it should be Couldn't taste the black bean sauce although the sauce was strong Sweet and sour soup was full of good items but so much pepper it made me cough Soups are in tiny cups they call small bowls White rice is good and sticky Shrimp with lobster sauce is nothing like it should be, mostly corn and tasteless, I mean tasteless like water Not the usual recipe others serve. The beef rice noodles were like I would make from a reg pan at home without, again, taste. They need that wok taste but it's not there So disappointed, not cheap either , easily $18 a plate Place was clean and looked decent but what good is that if the food is lousy?

We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. The appetizer we ordered (veggie steamed dumplings) came out with one less dumpling than promised on the menu. My wife's noodles were nothing special, as was my spicy/numbing pot. I felt my pot in particular, was over-loaded with huge chunks of veggies that could have been better chopped as to be more manageable. More chicken and beef in that chicken and beef pot, too, please ... The person waiting on us, if you could call it that, was not personable and could not have cared less about interacting. His drive by meal drop-offs were the epitome of antisocial. Probably won't return.

I have been to this restaurant several times which I did like. It rank higher than the other few places available in San Antonio. The service is always good and from observing I see a lot of Chinese families visiting and chit chatting with who seems to be the owner. I do like that a lot! It gives a positive sign about the restaurant itself The portions are huge! I ordered the whole chicken? Sichuan style. I asked if it is the whole chicken I don't know if language barrier lol she did the sign of no no with her hand. It is actually maybe equal to 2 chickens! Not complaining! I was very happy with it!
